Archibald Hotel

Good selection of food - good value for money. The air conditioner heated up the room very quickly and the electric blankets were a nice touch. The mattress and pillows were comfy. The room contained a microwave and mini kitchen. Good sized bathroom.

The bathroom sink drain was not properly cleaned, could smell residual smells of vomit while brushing my teeth. A good spray of bleach with a scrub would easily have corrected this; the cleaner needs to pay more attention to detail. There is not much noise insulation, could hear residents next door.

The Archibald Hotel was one of the best places I stayed in whilst in Australia. I visited the Blue Mountains in early March and stayed a night at the Archibald on my way out of the Blue Mountains. The place was as expected. A comfortable bed and room above the bar, with free parking. Staff were cracking - friendly and helpful throughout. Genuinely if I'm ever that way again, I will be stopping in as you couldn't argue with the customer service.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the view is amazing, the locals are great and the food is absolutely exceptional all thanks to the chef and his team. It's definitely a place to spontaneously visit, and continue to visit. It's now become my favourite place.

There is absolutely nothing to not like.

For the price this accommodation was excellent, well located, quiet and scenic. It is an old facility but very clean. the adjoining pub served good quality pub food.

Lighting to the car park nearest the 5 rooms could be slightly better but again, value for money. a toaster, plates and cereal bowls would be an added bonus given the distance to the nearest facilities if you want an early start.

Great views from rooms. Rooms basic but very clean, all amenities provided, staff friendly, bed very comfortable. Would be happy to stay there again. Seems like a lot of Reno work happening but did not hinder or disturb our stay.

Room came with fridge, kettle and microwave, bathroom was a great size and bed was reasonable, pillows fairly comfortable

Only issue was the batteries in the reverse cycle air con were dead so had to replace them with the ones from the tv remote.

The hotel was located central to our needs...bushwalks, Bilpin apple picking and Mount Tomah gardens. Friendly staff and good prompt meals with a pint of beer after a busy day came in very handy. The local village cafes had excellent breakfasts!

Some minor details such as shampoo/conditioner, a plug for the sink and a dishcloth would have come in handy.

Staff went out of their way to accommodate us, with transport to a family Christmas lunch driving us 20mins away and offered to pick us up if needed. Will definitely be back!!! .Had a great night at hotel afterwards . Room was clean, bed was comfortable..

Beautiful location with views outside of the Sydney skyline. Comfortable beds, spacious room, nice hot shower. Friendly staff. Hassle free parking. Great dining and drinks available on the premises.

I have to commend the staff - one of them offered to drive me to my venue and back!! so nice!! I did not end up taking her up on it but it was such a lovely gesture. Nice conveniently located hotel and easy parking.
