Island Palms Motor Inn

The location was directly across the road from the shops which was very convenient and the room was just what we needed for our 3 nights. Although the water was cold, the kids loved the pool and the depth of 1m made it more relaxing knowing they could touch the bottom. The birds that visit at your back door make it feel like you are away from the busy world and although on a main road it’s quite calm and quiet. 9/10 for clean and tidy.

There was a wet patch on the carpet (assuming something was spilt while cleaning maybe) making the room a little humid. The back screen door did not have a latch so we needed to keep a very close eye on the kids not wandering out. The room bin was too small for a 3 night stay (being a motor inn there are no cooking facilities - just kettle, toaster and microwave) we needed takeaway each night so the rubbish started to pile up with nowhere to put it.

Amazing location with a shopping centre opposite, and fast food restaurants within 2mins. Room was quite large and very clean. Bathroom very large, with strong water pressure, heat and exhaust fan. Curtain was amazing, letting very little light through.

Room key was given with no indication on where to park, what direction my room was, nor any spruik of extra facilities accessible near reception. The addition of a sheer curtain to the room, or day blind in the bathroom, would be amazing. Closing the curtains or blind, was the only way to ensure privacy when using the bathroom or getting changed.

The room was large with three comfy chairs, a table, a king size bed, and a patio with table and two chairs. Tv worked well and bathroom was unique with round tub and rain shower. Kitchenette was well equipped. Towels and linens were high quality. Pool area was lovely and inviting. Room was spectacularly clean and fresh! Loved that the patio doors would open and we had fresh air all night. Shopping plaza across the street.

The 24 hour check in was easy and convenient as we arrived early evening. Everything was clean and well presented.

House keeping had started to clean our room before our check out time and before I had returned my key. We still had drinks in the fridge and were standing outside with our friends when house keeping staff entered our room and started cleaning. We felt that we were no longer welcome so ended up losing our drinks.

Room was large and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Location was good, being a 2 minute walk to the shopping centre. The room was surprisingly quiet. Given its location I had expected a bit of traffic noise but no, it was quiet. The patio door led to a very small sitting area but this opened onto a large green space. Overall we were very pleased with the room. We has breakfast from there, which was very pleasant and plentiful. Next time we stay we will probably order 1 breakfast and share. Disabled facilities are also available.

Nothing much. We were very pleased, and anything we write in here would just be nit picking.

Hosts were excellent, there was an issue using the self check in facility as we arrived quite late and this was rectified immediately which was great! I’m even sure our room was upgraded, place is spacious it has all the amenities needed, clean and quiet. Location is great across the road from Woolies and only a short walk and even shorter drive to maccas, kfc & hungry jacks. Beach is 5-7 minute drive and other cafes, highly recommend you stay here if visiting Forster. Thanks guys for a pleasant stay! I was spewing we slept past the breakfast hour as we would’ve loved to have brekky this morning 😂🙏

A handy location, clean and tidy and able to park outside our room as we were road tripping. Plenty of nice little spots to drive to and close by. Would stay again.

Ceiling fans would be nice as air-cond isn't for everyone but the A/C worked well given that it was Summer time.

Easy to find, located close to supermarkets and other shopping facilities the facilities were clean, spacious and quite perfect for a short stay, would definitely book again

There was nothing I could fault, however the only thing I could find others not liking is it's roughly 3km from the CBD... So not within walking distance for elderly or those with a disability

I have stayed here a few times now and the room has always been super clean and comfortable. Parking is easy and the self-check in worked well for me. I also was happy with the wifi as I was staying there to get an exam done while the power was out at home. Will probably be back again in the future !

Self check in required me to swipe my credit card and $10 was taken even though I had fully prepaid through booking.com. We left early the next day before office was open so rang them a bit later to query the charge. The person I spoke to was quiet unhelpful and offered no real explanation other than to say "it will disappear off your card charges in 2 days or maybe 1 week", he then ended the call. Car parking bays not numbered and are very narrow.
