The location was perfect - very close to the river and right beside the Metro and the tram for convenience, but still quiet since it is set back. The building is old so the walls are thick - we barely ever heard anyone else at all - and our room which was at the back of the hotel so there was minimal traffic noise. The room itself was modern and clean, with nice touches such as Occitane bath products, robe and slippers, mini bar, Nespresso machine. The breakfasts were excellent - great choice and plenty of healthy options. The breakfast room was below ground so a bit dark and gloomy, but there was a lovely terrace upstairs to take a tray up and enjoy breakfast outside.

As a Brit I would have loved a kettle as well as a coffee machine... but that is probably a big ask! The housekeeping was a little random - presumably understaffed? They never reached our room before 5pm (except one day where we specifically requested a morning clean) - but in fact our room was actually never really cleaned nor the bed made. The consumables were replaced and the cups washed, but that was about it. Once we realised how it worked we were perfectly happy - it was just a bit surprising.

Excellent location (able to walk everywhere touristy in Prague, but also right on a tram stop, if you like to avoid walking up to those steep hills to the castle). Nice, simple room with outstanding bed and pillows (one of the most comfortable sleeps we ever had in hotels). Very good breakfast with loads of choices, both of savoury and sweet breakfast foods. Good stable Wifi, able to stream with no issues. Nice, welcoming staff and clean rooms.

A small warning for those coming with a car: only limited number of parking spots available, so make sure you let hotel know well in advance (earlier the better, minimum 2 days) if you need a spot. Once there, you just park your car on the street parking in front of the hotel and the reception arranges for your parking pass in that spot for duration of the stay. So that works well, but the number of permits hotel can issue is limited, so let them know well in advance if you need one.

Very well located next to the Prague castle and an quick walk to Lennon wall, the narrowest street, Charles' Bridge. We had a lovely stay, the room was very nice, spacious and clean. The overall hotel looks very boutique, as the name says, carols were playing in the common areas and garden (a garden I expect is really nice during summer time). The breakfast was ok, would have been nice if on the 1st of Jan it would have been later, but not a huge issue for us, we just skipped it :D

There were some issues with the shower gel dispenser and the actual shower leaking, but both issues were quickly fixed after we told reception.

Everything was perfect! The location is fantastic between Prague Castle and the city center. We loved the breakfast offering, very delicious! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was small but it was clean with confortable bed and very cozy. We were glad that gave us the opportunity to store our luggage earlier than the check-in time. We appreciated the fact that they prepared our breakfast before the regular breakfast time as we had to leave early for the airport.

We have nothing to add!

Pros: -All the staff were very, very helpful and willing -The room we ended up staying in was large, and I mean so large it had 2 levels -The view was fantastic with a direct line of site to the Prague castle and the cathedral -The room was very clean, with excellent amenities by l'Occitane -On the lover level you had the living room with the bathroom (large enough to have a bathtub and a stand-up shower) and on the upper level there was the bedroom with a large and comfy bed -Parking spaces were right in front of the hotel so it was very easy to get to your car -The distance from the hotel to the city center was a 10 minutes gentle stroll or a 5 minutes normal walk away -Breakfast was very good although it could have done with a bit more variety

Cons: -The room we booked stated in the description that it had river view but when we got into it, we saw that what we could see was the next building and towards the right, in the very corner there was a bit of the river -After discussion with the reception we were upgraded to the Presidential suite in which we ended up staying -The only issue we had with that room was heating. We visited at the brink of winter and, for a room with so much open area, they had only 2 heaters which did not seem to be able to cope with the needs of the room unless they were left running for a day. This translated into our first night being a quite cold one -Some of the room's varnish was cracked and, because the room was basically in the attic, it was crisscrossed by wooden beams (also quite cracked).

Stunning boutique hotel, very spacious room - we got the attic room which was lovely! breathtaking view of Prague from the windows, comfortable bed and of course the welcome note that waited alongside healthy snacks on our arrival (was exactly what we needed after a long journey), perfect breakfast with a wide range of possibilities (we're vegan and found it excellent).

There wasn't coffee or tea in the room after the first day which was a bit of a bummer, And the lovely stairs to the gallery floor, well, if you wake in the middle of the night needing to go to the bathroom. it's an exercise! :P Other than that, all was perfect.

Funky designed rooms. The historic building was awesome. Well looked after and full of charming accents. The "Cher" room was fairly roomy. Good breakfast included. Excellent personalized service. We found the breakfast to be quite adequate. Eggs and coffee could be hotter. The hotel is well located in the area below the castle. It's a quick walk to the Malostranska metro station and trams all over Prague. It's about a 15 minute walk across the Manes Bridge to the Old Town Square area. From the Malostranska metro station it is two stops to Wenceslas Square.

Unfortunately in order to have a quieter room with twin beds, they gave us a room on the top floor with the river view. The windows did not open and it was a bit hot and stuffy in the room. AC had already been decommissioned for the season. Daniel brought us a large floor fan which helped.

The location is great, approx 150m from the Malostranska metro station and the steps going up to the castle are across the road. Charle's bridge approx 10 mins walk. Very comfortable bed and the room was spacious.

The room where breakfast was served felt a bit small and cramped when full of people. Also there was constantly someone at the entrance below our room window smoking, so with an open window we could smell it in the room. The area is a bit noisy as there is a tram station almost right in front of the building.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Klarov. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any requests. The room was spacious with large double glazed windows and a large bathroom with bath and shower. The location is excellent and is a short walk to all the attractions in the old town. It is a lovely historic building in a quiet terrace opposite a small park and very near a main metro and tram stop. The breakfast was good with lots of pastries, local cakes breads meats cheese juices, eggs etc.. and a good coffee machine. The breakfast staff keep the buffet well stocked and clean. There is a nice outside courtyard at the back that you can bring your breakfast up to if you don't want to eat in the breakfast room. Great hotel for a city break in Prague, would definitely return again.

- the hotel is very close to all Prague important sites - the room was very clean, - free parking not only in front of the hotel but in the whole central area for deluxe rooms - premium bathroom products - very nice hosts

- In the first morning they were a little bit surprised by the guests at breakfast and most of the food was missing from the buffet. We had to wait a bit until eating. - no bathroom window in the rooms - be careful that the coffee capsules in the room are not complimentary, as we thought and you have to pay for them
