ibis Paris La Villette Cité des Sciences

Location was surprisingly good- easy to get to centre by metro, but also a nice vibe round local area. Good restaurants close by and a bit less touristy. Staff were all super friendly. Room was as expected in an Ibis, comfortable and quiet.

There was no tea & coffee facilities in the rooms. Shower took almost 5 min to get hot which feels like a massive waste of water.

It's a really nice hotel: good location, in front of the Canal de l'Ourcq, the room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was well served, and the staff was helpful and kind.

Although the front of the hotel is in a nice location, in terms of public transport and access to the rest of the city it's a bit trickier: to reach the two metro lines (5 and 7) near the hotel you have to walk through some streets that can be more dangerous at night, especially on the way to line 7. And the route to the most touristic parts of the city takes a long time, so it's important to anticipate this commuting time.

The location was amazing! Our room had a view over the canal, and we could open our windows up and feel the breeze. Walking along that canal, up over the bridges, enjoying the locals playing bocci it was so nice. The best price of anywhere we have stayed, very clean and the staff was quite helpful, someone always able to speak English for us. I wish I’d picked this place for a longer stay, but moving on.

The shower head was a little lame, wouldn’t stay in place. The window didn’t open all the way so that you can sit on the sill. Not a big deal though, the place rocks.

Great location - nice area near the park and canal. Plenty of places to eat there. Near the metro. Staff were helpful - check-in was easy, and the cleaning staff were good. Breakfast was good and the wifi was excellent - extremely fast. Very attractive lobby!

It wasn't clear to us that one room = one breakfast, Each room had a double bed, so we assumed that two breakfasts were included, Not the case, which led to an uncomfortable discussion first thing in the morning.

the receptionists were all lovely - we were a bit worried first since we are english speaking only. breakfast was so good for the money, the atmosphere was lovely. location is great, kind of an unique area in Paris but so close to to metro stops. hotel in itself was comfortable, room was small yes but overall facilities were just what we needed. room cleaning was superb, we felt looked after - I would stay again.

The advantages of this hotel are: i. good location (on St Martin canal, fashionable neighbourhood with restaurants etc.), ii. it does what a hotel should do (clean, comfortable, convenient), iii. near Metro, so good for visiting anywhere in Paris, iv. the staff were nice.

It's not in itself remotely Parisian or French. It's just an international hotel chain which gives you the same from Berlin to Bangkok.

The hotel itself is really nice, clean, great common area/lounge, good Wi-Fi for work, can buy coffee there in the morning. The area it's in is not touristy, but is really quite nice -- near the canal, lots of little places across the water to eat and get coffee etc. Room was clean and nice.

2/3 nights we didn't have hot water later in the day (one day as early as 5PM) -- we got back to the hotel really late so didn't mention it. On the 3rd day, we mentioned it and the water seemed to be working fine then! Also, the hotel is far from the touristy attractions (about 30-40mins by walking+subway to get there). Not too bad, but you should be ready for travel time!

The location was convenient for the purpose of my stay (I was attending a show at the zenith), and the city center was reachable by metro. Despite other comments that got me worried prior to my stay, I did not feel unsafe at all walking in the area, even at night. The room was quite clean and had a nice view to the canal. The best was the staff, both reception and breakfast, really nice and friendly.

The staff was nice, breakfast was good as well. Location is also good as metro is 5 mins away and you are connected with all the main sightseeing places.

The room was really small, there is absolutely no toilet brush (noticed this at some other places around Paris), and there was no kettle in the room (although the staff gives you hot water for the tea or coffee if you have your own).

Small room but very organized, clean and comfy. Nice and helpful personal. They were all speaking english. Nice view of the parc.

Strange neighbourhood: at night there were a bunch of homeless people. But overall there was everything you need pretty close: a store, restaurants and the metro at 5 min
