Maison Malesherbes

I loved this hotel! Perfect location, just a few minutes walk from the metro and around 15 minute walk from almost all main attractions. The bedrooms were spacious for Parisian standards, and very comfy with all amenities you need. I especially liked that you could control the temperature of your room -- so many hotels say they have AC but they control the master temperature. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Even though it is on a busy street it is very quiet in the rooms. Definitely recommend!

The only issue was my sink drain was getting stuck closed. Other than that everything was perfect.

The location, the the 8th Arrondisement was excellent. Walkable to the main sites but also close to a metro station. The hotel is quirky and delightfully decorated, the exterior very 'French' with wrought iron balconies and a beautiful view for us over a busy main road to the beautiful Eglise St Augustin. Despite the busy road the room was quiet, the beds very comfy and the shower delightfully powerful!

We didn't have breakfast in the hotel anyway but I didn't love the basement dining room with no windows or natural light. However, I imagine in the winter it is very cosy. We were there on a boiling hot weekend so it didn't appeal.

Great Location, Great Staff, and a Very Generous Manager running the hotel. We just had the best experience staying at Maison Malesherbes. You are at the heart of Paris and truly being pampered at this place with nothing short of a 5 Star Experience. The location is prime overlooking the amazing St Augustin Catherdral and all walking distance from the Champs Elysee and all the prime Metro Stations connecting you to the rest of the city. The hotel will definitely be my prime recommendation to everyone visiting Paris for a short stay. It is truly a pampering experience.

Super friendly personnel, good location, comfortable bed, all was good in general, no big complaints.

Everything is tiny - from the lobby, to the elevator to shower cabin to the room itself. The hotel show it's age with things bumped here and there, not very tight seal on the window, etc. For a 3 night stay my toilettiers were never restocked and barely lasted because the shower gel is really a gel, more like a jelly. Very hard to get out of the bottle. Seriously, change the supplier.

The property was beautiful. Staff very friendly. View was incredible and room was a comfortable size. The area was lovely and Paris is very easy to get around so it was nice staying out of the hustle and more tourist areas, however in a quick 20 min walk you were at the Place de La Concorde. There was both a gentleman and a lady behind the desk during the day (awful at names but the man greeted us when we arrived and the lady checked us out) who were absolutely amazing. The friendliest most helpful people we met in Paris and ready to do anything for you to ensure you had a fantastic stay.

Not big problems but a couple of issues getting my information during check-in although I had used the online check-in. We had a beautiful bath tub but showering was slightly impractical. That is all!

Excellent boutique hotel, with charming, quirky style. Brilliant location next to metro stops and pleasant walking distance to many main attractions. The square outside has lovely cafes/restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The room had two large windows and a small, step on balcony with marvellous views of the St Augustine church. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It doesn’t have the facilities or the amenities of large chain hotel, but the staff really care and will do all they can to make guests feel happy.

Yes, it can be slightly on the loud side with the windows open, but you’re in the centre of a metropolitan city so you should expect a little noise. The windows did well to block the noise when closed. The very small bar within reception doesn’t always have the drinks you would like or a large setting to enjoy them, but it is a boutique feel, like have a drink at a friend’s home.

General location was good, opposite a beautiful church and restaurants, and not too far to attractions by car. Drivers all had trouble finding the place to drop us off, but it was easy to catch a taxi. Decor was very attractive in a quirky-arty way, you knew you were in France. Concierge was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel felt safe and quiet when the double glazed windows were shut. I loved my stay.

Rooms were small, lift was tiny, but it didn't detract from the experience. We appreciated the church bells, but others might not however all was quiet when the windows were shut. Police sirens were disconcerting, but seem to be a staple of Europe. Breakfast was adequate. Rooms were small but normal for Europe.

I had small top-floor room overlooking the square and church, that felt "just right" for being in the city. The mini-split did a nice job of cooling the room at night. The primary window was fun to have open during the day, to let in all the city sounds, but then did a good job of blocking out noise when closed at night. Very friendly staff, who were always happy to help. Cute common room and breakfast room.

Location was good for me, as someone who has been to Paris before and wanted to stay in a neighborhood where people actually live and work. It's a little far from some of the main tourist attractions.

Beautifully decorated, safe and central location. Great staff and attentive cleaning service. Quick response to any issues, quaint breakfast space downstairs.

First room I got was freshly spray painted and the lacquer smell was very strong and toxic. Fortunately, the manager is very understanding and kind so he switched my rooms quickly and gave me a beautiful view of the church.

The location is perfect, with a nice view on church St. Augustin. The design of the room was beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They even payed attention to the smallest details, like writing your name in a beautiful handwriting on the envelope containing the invoice. I found the stay in this hotel perfect and this is the hotel I would choose again when returning to Paris.
