Hôtel Bedford

First - the hotel is beautiful. The Parisian design and historical architecture is hard to ignore, and the restaurant/breakfast hall is quite literally breathtaking. Second - the kindness and quality of service was heavily felt. we arrived very early in the morning and received our room immediately, despite check in time was much later on. Third - the location. A few steps from Galerie Lafayette, close to restaurants and a buzzing nightlife area, yet still quiet at night and feels safe and clean. Fourth - room size (and balcony) was great!

- Breakfast is dull and hardly any options for vegetarians/vegans/GF, if at all. This is a continental breakfast, meaning mostly juice, pastries and cheese - no vegetables, nothing out of the ordinary. Not worth the price and not suitable with today's dietary requirements. - Parking is an issue in Paris as a whole, but some hotels do have an arrangement with parking lots. Luckily, we stayed at a different hotel the previous day which had an arrangement of this sort and managed to find super cheap parking for 3 days through it.

The staff is very nice and eager to help guests, they seem very committed to the well being of their clients.

The room for that price is microscopic. Literally a bed and a desk! The bathroom has absolutely no ventilation and they use a bed cover that you cannot tell if it was cleaned before (because of the model of the duvet). The sink doesn't evacuate water properly either

Its very convenient central position

The room we were first allocated was on the 7th Floor. The AC had packed up across the whole floor that morning. It was during the hottest August week. An enormous AC machine had been put in that room and seemed immovable. Too heavy for me to lift. It had not been connected. The flexible pipe was just lying across the carpet. There was no room to get into bed. The sun was beating down outside and the external walls were absorbing the heat. It was unbearable. We returned to Front Desk and asked if they could recommend another hotel. They found a massively better room on the 7th Floor which was still too hot despite actively working AC AND a room on the 4th Floor which was such a vast improvement in every way that we’ve booked to return for a March birthday!!!!

The TV system was clearly very old and the channel choice was terrible... no Spanish or English channels (except for the US version of CNN) were working and maybe no other international channels either (I didn't check). When I clicked on Sky News and BBC News International, both of which appeared on the channel list, the system just said they were unavailable. When I asked at reception all they were able to tell me was that they had some problems with their provider, which is not an acceptable response! In addition, I was surprised that there was no coffee/tea-making facility in the room... again, very poor!

We have just come back from a fantastic stay at Hotel Bedford. The location was excellent and the mix of modern and old style in the hotel was so welcoming. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful and as soon as we pulled up in the taxi we felt looked after. We had a lovely room with a view, albeit the tip, of the Eiffel Tower and lovely little balcony. the room was lovely and clean and stocked with everything we needed, and so quiet! Wr didn’t use the bar or breakfast room as we were out so much so can’t comment on them. We intend to come to Paris every year and would 100% stay here again. thank you for making our stay so lovely.

everything was great

It is conveniently located close to my Clients' offices and it provides excellent value for the money spent. The staff is professional and helpful, any problem receives the right attention. My room was clean and comfortable, furbished in pure Parisienne style

Given the short stay, I could not find anything wrong. I could not rate the breakfast. The restaurant looks great and deserves a visit on my next trip.

loved the tall ceilings and floor to ceiling windows in the rooms which was great for our group in which most were over 6’ tall; loved the generously sized rooms which easily held a sofa, coffee table and two twin beds which functioned as one large bd or two; loved the helpful staff from the friendly maid service to the exceptional concierge who always had our taxis ordered and waiting for us; loved central location which allowed us to walk if we wanted to; loved the breakfast with the fluffy scrambled eggs, bacon, selection of cheeses, fruits, and croissants.

nothing - great hotel

In my past employment, I frequently chose the Hôtel Bedford for my work-related stays in Paris. I believed it would be delightful to revisit the same boutique hotel when traveling to Paris with my family, primarily because of the following reasons: the hotel's convenient proximity to various Parisian attractions, the friendly and accommodating staff who consistently went the extra mile to provide assistance, with a special acknowledgment to Ludwig!

Very good location, feels safe even at night! The newly renovated room is a big surprise!

I started at two types of rooms, a twin room with a friend for two nights and then single room on my own. The twin room seems to be recently renovated so it was spacious, nice and with a beautiful street view, exceeding my expectation. However, the single room was on high floor with the out dated design with a view of the back street so I felt a big difference after changing rooms (though somewhat understandable since the latter was cheaper). I’d suggest you book the newer rooms if possible, you’d be surprised! Also noting there’s no kettle in the rooms so it’s not very convenient when you want to make your tea or have hot water, you’ll have to go to the bar to get hot water.

The facilities in the room are limited. No coffee facilities. No complimentary water.
