Petit Madeleine Hôtel

I had reserved a single room but the bed was closer to a double than a single bed. The location of the hotel is top, close to Galeries Lafayette & Printemps for shopping and touristic highlights like Champs-Elysees and Arc de Triomphe. Breakfast was excellent value for money.

Main downside for me, at checkout you can only leave your luggage till 14:00, so if you still planned some sightseeing on your last day, you have a bit of a problem (especially if you have come by train).

Well located, and excellent staff. Very well-maintained room and bathroom.

Small room (even by Paris standards). No coffee facilities in room and Nespresso in lobby was 3 euros.

A great example of quality versus quantity. The single room was small, which is typical of Paris, but the ambiance was all you think of Paris. You walk into a lovely and scented lobby and are greeted by a real person behind a desk. There is a theme to the decor which is not lavish, but elegant and creative. The elevator looks like an old traveling trunk! My room was decorated in orange, hot pink, and purple with fashion pictures on the wall. Absolutely charming. Plus nice linens. The staff is warm and helpful. The price is reasonable and the location is a combination of tourist and non tourist. Big box chain hotels can take a lesson from small boutique hotels like this. Would definitely stay here again.

Ok, if I have to fill this in...body lotion toiletries would have been icing.

Great location and friendly staff except the female manager who was not the most welcoming. She must relearn her customer service skills. People don't mind paying, just don't give guests attitude upon arrival. We had a last minute extra person who was staying for two nights. Manager said right away, only two people are allowed in the room, it is a LAW here in Paris! She could have said it in a nicer way. Don't talk to us about the "law" as hotel guests who brought one extra person. Again we didn't mind paying at all. Been to Paris five times already. Lovethe city, the people, the arts and food. As expected, elevator was small as in most elevators in Europe anyway but the place was spic and span, clean. Staff were always eager to help.

Property was great, close to everything. Walking distance to Rue Saint-Honoré. wifi was not the fastest either.

Great location! Cute and cozy as place, has a lot to offer even walking distance. Nice place for a city break :)

Hotel management was rude, distant, arrogant. I advise them to change job towards something involving less customer service. The manager “kindly” forced me to pay all the stay in the check-in, lying about it being the “rule”. She never even bother to ask how was our stay, or if we needed any tips/help in the city. Luckily I know the city, but I wouldn’t be happy with such an attitude if it was my first time there. The rest of the hotel staff was nice and lovely, expecially room service did a very nice job :)

Very helpful and welcoming staff on reception (whatever may have been said in earlier reviews!). Location excellent with access to/from St Lazare station and metro stations nearby. Easy walk to Champs Elysee and Arc de Triomphe (30 mins). Although room was very small it had all necessary facilities. Excellent breakfast although expensive if one only wanted a light continental breakfast - quite sufficient for 2 people at €18! Good to have coffee, tea, soft drinks available on demand at €3 a time.

Size of room and lift!

This hotel it’s a “bijoux” in the heart of Paris. The room was very cozy and well equipped and the lobby and breakfast (which is rich in variety and with many healthy options) area very elegant. The whole infrastructure was extremely clean and well maintained. The location is perfect, in the center of Paris just a few steps away from Cafes, shops and metro station. The neighborhood is very safe. The main attractions are around 20 mins away by walk or just a few stops away by metro. The staff is very kind and attentive. We totally recommend this hotel.

It was all perfect!

Location: central location. close to a metro station. a walking distance to city center, you can still takethe bus or the metro if you want. Room: room was small but that is normal in paris. room was clean, bathroom was well. Bed was comfy but room was quite warm which bothered me. There was no option to switch off the heating if I remember correctly. Breakfast options were good but still quite expensive compared to prices outside but we had to since it is the first of Jan so everything was closed. Staff

Bedroom and bathroom were very small but to be expected in Paris! Only room for one person to walk between bed/bathroom/wardrobe space. The large stool was unnecessary (sit on bed?) and blocked the route out of the bathroom and the dressing table chair, if used, blocked the space at the foot of the bed. It was however, a beautiful room - just lose the stool! The breakfast area was also compact and very tricky to negotiate between tables/food but made for much laughter between those staying!

The hotel was quiet, the neighborhood was quiet in the evenings, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom more than adequate. From the hotel you will have a 5-8 minute walk to one of 2 Metro stations, depending on your pace. A Monoprix, several cafes and restaurants are also within the same walking distance.

I was happy with everything. I will say that the elevator is tiny, the view was just walls of adjacent buildings and the room was small. None of this impacted my stay.
