Hôtel La Sanguine

As a female solo traveler, it was perfectly comfortable! It was close to the metro, and the staff went out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The road outside is well lit and feels safe. The room was small per American standards, but standard for downtown European hotels. My room even had a rain shower head, which was a pleasant surprise! It is a great value for the money - would definitely stay again or recommend to my friends!

one of the hotel staff called up to my room in the night and tried to hit on me and invite me down for drinks, apart from that I loved the hotel and the rest of the staff were amazing

Hotel was good in general and staff kind. There is no lift. Room was ok but small and there were bus and metro stations near.

We pay for a superior double room and we received a standard one smaller. We ask for a change and they say we didnt pay for it, even when booking shows the type of room as superior double.

Staff at check-in were lovely and helped with our limited French vocab! They explained the hotel well and made us aware of breakfast and mini bar. The same lovely lady was there to wish us au revoir. A short walk from hotel were some lovely cafes. Staff on deck 24 hours was helpful following a late night walking back through Paris. For our 2 nights in Paris, this was a good choice.

Nothing to be changed, just be aware there may be a lot of steep stairs if you are on 3rd floor. Towels were quite small. We had a small desk in the room which had to be moved to access the wardrobe. One male staff member was a little abrupt.

Every single staff member was very helpful and friendly. My room was always clean. The location is absolutely amazing, everything is walking distance. Area is very safe. The street that hotel is located is quiet, so no noises from outside. Bed was comfortable. The shampoo/shower gel had a nice scent. They were very kind to keep my bags after check-out, as I still had some hours before catching the bus back to airport. From the look of it, hotel also offers very nice breakfast that I couldn't try as I had an early start of my course.

For what I needed the hotel was perfect, so there is nothing that I did not like. I was there for a course, so I needed a central, clean, quiet and safe place to stay.

stay only if you like and are acquainted with small antique boutique hotel run like a b&b. for those who travel heavy, pls know that there are no lifts. highest level is fourth. not for anyone with young children because the rooms are exceptionally close to one another and not soundproof. great for overnighters, low maintenance solo/couple travelers. location is excellent. you can walk to the lourve, jadin tuilleries, opera etc. the staff are very helpful and friendly. do book taxis to CGD a day in advance. $53 flat fee + $7 booking fee. takes about an hour to get there with a bit of jam included.

I really liked the hotel, location is good, nearby there is a nice, big park, metro station, bus station, supermarket. The room was very clean, had everything you need, air conditioning (during night it was hot so AC made a big difference), my son and I slept very well as the street was quiet during night. The staff were very, very helpful and friendly. They gave us ice cream on arrival and we were very happy for that! They were attentive to details, wished my son happy birthday!

Everything was great so i liked everything

Decent French breakfast for a good start of the day. For a few euros extra you could get an omelet or baked eggs. Some fruit would have been nice to have, but not a biggy. You eat in the reception area, but it's cozy. Rooms are not very big, but functional and it had a good working AC as well as stable WiFi. I guess for an XL/XXL person this could be too small. And for anyone over 185cm watch your head. Room was cleaned every day and the room was clean to start of with as well. Location is excellent. Madeleine has a lot of busses and a subway stop. A lot of fancy shops around, but also enough affordable restaurants of all kind within walking distance.

My French. I wish my French was better

The location is simply amazing, so close to most places of interest. We actually walked almost everywhere. The location and the price (we were lucky and scored a Booking discount) make up for the small clustered room which feels a bit stressing at times. It was clean apart from some left over trash in the bathroom (?) and it had air condition which is a thing in Paris. The people at the reception were really helpful especially the sir (I regret not getting his name) who welcomed us, he was the most gentle human!! All in all the location, price and politeness are the highlights!
