The premium double room was huge ( I mean really huge for any hotel room standards and bigger in real life than the photos suggest ) and superb quality too , except that it had no view. The junior suite had a fantastic grand canal view BUT was not as large as the premium double room and a lot of space in the room was wasted in an additional bath tub and wash basins behind a wall behind the bed. A bit strange design and a waste of space what otherwise would have made the room incredible. Very clean and well furnished though. I would stay in the premium double room ( with a canal view) if this one would be available. Best option to choose for sure. The hotel was very neat clean and very comfortable for sure. Luxurious too I could add here. Staff were extremely helpful and very polite and the service was top class. The garden for breakfast was just outstanding and the service again superb. Breakfast was more than adequate infact very sumptuous for European standards. Location of the hotel is just WOW. bang between the Academia bridge and Rialto bridges and on the grand canal. The hotel has its own boat dock so it is super convienent to and from the station and airport. BUT the winner here is the vaperetto stop which is touching the hotel too. This is rare for many hotels as the canal does not have a walk way or promenade and to get to the vapererrto ( water taxi) stop one has to walk through winding streets and backtrack a lot even if the stop is just meters away from the hotel. But this one was at the hotel door. So full marks for this convienence. The terrace bar is incredible and a must do in the evening for sunset drinks. St marks square is a 9 min walk away, rialto bridge 5 mins , Academia bridge 4 mins , and the hotel is close to other squares , restaurants and bars so extremely well located. I would give this hotel a big thumbs up and highly recommend it. PS.

The junior suite seemed a downgrade from the premium double room in size BUT the canal view was just outstanding. Space wasted in the suite due to design. Also the hotel serves a great breakfast and v good room service menu. BUT does not have a full restaurant for meal service neither does the roof top bar serve full meals. This as I found out was due to the small kitchen they have and cannot get permission for a bigger one due to the building being a heritage property. But if they could either tie up with a nearby good restaurant or manage a small curated menu for meals then their garden and roof top area would be winners for the best eating ambience among many hotels. So Pal. Barocci , give this one a deep thought.

The hotel is in a fantastic location - on the Grand Canal. It is located 10 minutes walk from the main tourist areas, which means it's in a slightly quieter location but within an easy distance from all the action. Facilities were great. The staff were super friendly, answered all my questions, and went above and beyond to help my partner and I celebrate our anniversary. The room was a great size with a lovely terrace. Huge thank you for an unforgettable weekend. I would 100% book again.

I honestly couldn't fault anything.

Great location Friendly & helpful staff (personally with arranging airport transfers) Clean / comfortable room

The photos on booking.com need updating as our room looked different from the photos. It was still a lovely, comfortable and clean room but significantly smaller than pictured. It wasn’t as modern and stylish as the pictures appear.

We booked a Premium room with a view. The room had a beautiful view of the grand canal with a balcony. It was big room and had all the facilities required. It was right near a ferry station so travelling around Venice was so easy. The staff were so helpful and pleasant through out. Had a good breakfast spread. Made us feel like to come back to Venice again.

We booked the Junior Suite with terrace and the view along the Grand Canal was absolutely amazing - I can't believe we had the whole terrace to ourselves. The staff were very accommodating and food was excellent - we had room service (it's a limited menu but very good) and just enjoyed the terrace. Shower is excellent and the level of furnishings and quality of linens is outstanding. Great location on line 1 for the vaporetti and short walk to other sites in San Marco.

Beautiful and modern hotel located next the Sant' Angelo Boat Station and walking distance from main attractions. The Premium double room with view is very fancy, well illuminated, super clean, spacious, and it has a tiny balcony on the side of the room. It has a partial view of the grand canal, comfortable bed, big bathroom, large sofa, and a quiet mini fridge. The front desk staff were always cordial, very knowledgeable, and super helpful. Ask for the motorboat tour around the canals. It's a unique and fun experience! We really enjoyed our stay at Palazzo Barocci and highly recommend it.

The hotel has some rooms with spectacular views over the Grand Canal which was the main reason for booking it, and is right next to the San'Angelo vaporetto stop which makes it very convenient for the centre. But behind the hotel there is a very pretty area with quieter squares a little way away from big crowds. It is also close to the Accademia area which was one of our favourite areas of the city.

It was great. They upgraded our room and it was fabulous with wonderful view of the canal. Beautiful furniture, spotless clean, welcome drinks and food. In the city center and the lobby was very nice! The water taxi stops right in front of the hotel.

We had to leave very early in the morning and when the boat came we were locked inside the hotel watching our boat stopping and leaving without us. The receptionist came after we looked for him everywhere and didn’t apologize. He just acted as if it’s no big deal which made my boyfriend very angry.

Ideal central location just a few steps from S. Angelo vaporetta stop makes the hotel ideal, especially for oldies with some luggage. Very handy water taxi stop also. Staff were all welcoming, effecient, friendly, helpful with local knowledge and directions, and their professionalism relayed a relaxing atmosphere for guests without being over-formal as some hotels of this calibre can be. Their knowledge of languages is also first class so no worries for overseas visitors with lack of spoken or written italian. Our room was superb, a junior suite, and the staff's attention and consideration to our special anniversary was particularly appreciated. Being able to watch the superb Regatta Storica on the first Sunday of September from the balcony was the highlight, and one of the purposes of our visit. We could not have been more central to the action of the Regatta and being on the second floor had a spectacular view. Our Spritz Campari with olives and crisps kindly brought upstairs by the Fiorentino barman helped our overall enjoyment of the hotel. We also particularly liked watching the vaporetta drivers (empty boats/no passengers) practising their 3 point and handbrake turns during ongoing training sessions on the Canale Grande. Breakfast were well organised, with Covid requirements, and we really enjoyed the exceptional service on both mornings with scrambled eggs, toast and bacon plus fresh fruits, bakery products and many other choices for all tastes, served up by lovely breakfast staff, particularly the young lady from Germany, in the secluded rear garden. We would also like to thank a near neighbour for putting on such a wonderful saxaphone rendition which was a perfect accompaniment to our Sunday morning breakfast. Overall the Palazzo Barocci is superb and deserves all its accolades and even more stars. Bravi tutti, alla prossima e duri i banchi.

Nothing, 2 days and nights were too short.
