Hotel Playa La Media Luna

This is the best view in Isla mujeres. Such amazing value! I love that it's not on playa norte because it's not busy with tons of people and vendors. It's a 5 min walk to playa norte thoguht so you can go swimming (the beach it's on is not swimmable but very peaceful). Also a very close walk to lots of shops and restaurants. The pool is perfectly located. Plenty of chairs to lounge and the guy that works the little bar is great and will order and deliver delicious food at the pool area (since the hotel doesn't have a restaurant). I recommend this hotel to everyone because the balcony with the hammock overlooking the ocean is simply breathtaking. It's also nice that it's a small hotel (not like those huge resorts)

we originally booked 2 nights and then decided to go a day early so booked an additional night. The staff were unwilling to offer us the same room that we could stay for 3 nights despite the hotel not appearing to be full and instead had to change rooms - they wanted an additional payment which started us off on a bad note straight away!

Sunrises viewed from an assortment of comfortable furniture on the main pool deck. Brewed coffee ready very early in the morning. Quiet location, off the beaten path, but near enough to walk out for a snack or walkabout. Free Wi-Fi. Large room, ceiling fan, extra pillows. Easy walk from the Ferry port (if you're a walker), but I'd take a taxi the first time you visit.

The shower head in our suite was really messed up (#34). We should have said something and it likely would have been fixed immediately - our bad. We would not have minded if there were environmentally friendly options like the option of reusing your bathroom towels, bidets on the toilets.

Secluded yet close to the main beach. Gorgeous ocean breeze in the lobby and views from the pool/beach. Plenty of pool seating. Comfortable rooms with everything we needed! Location is prime, near many great restaurants, Playa Norte, etc. We did a massage at the hotel next door and enjoyed their pool and poolside bar for the day! It was great to have a fridge to have beers and snacks to access at our pool.

Everything was great. Next time I would book a room on the second floor or above for the balcony.

privately located at a dead end to a road. In a good location to walk to shops and dinning. There is a bar on the property but no restaurant.

Breakfast included for the price would have been nice; a little expensive with none of the perks! For the price I paid, I was supposed to have a beachfront room but was given a garden view. I ask for a room on the bottom floor but was placed on the 3rd floor. We had to move to the bottom floor the next night rather inconvenient!

Amazing place for couples. Romantic place with great view in calm place of island. Room was big and clean with very big bed. From balcony amazing view on sea. On territory nice restaurant, good breakfast. They have one big pool on territory what always have comfort temperatures. And this pool work till 22:00. So after dinner you can go with your couple to swim there. Big respect. We spend amazing days there.

Beach not so good . On this island much more another better beaches.

Great location and very beautiful decor. I love the view to the pool and all the Vegetation around it. I enjoyed coming back from a all day trip to Chichen Itza and come home to take a refreshing swim at the beautiful pool. Very quite very relaxing and very safe facility. I arrived very late and It was very nice of Danny to great me in person and provide me with the keys it made me feel very safe. I will definitely recommend it too my friends and family. I love coffee and unfortunately they was no coffee maker. I found some excellent earl gray infused with green tee in the freezer and that was a good alternative.

This was our second time at this hotel. The first time was in 2014. The location is amazing and that is why we came back. Right on the ocean, close to the majority of restaurants and shopping on the island.

The hotel has increased in size(maybe double the rooms?) since the last visit in 2014. The hotel has added some additional infrastructure to meet the additional size(2 small pools and a bit more outdoor seating) but we found the hotel very busy and access to seating was sometimes a challenge. Unfortunately the continental breakfast option that was provided in 2014 is no longer provided, only coffee and tea is available to guests in the morning.

Beach front room is great, especially our one on the ground floor where you walk directly into the pool area. Love the private beach, away from the busy tourist area. The main tourist area with restaurants is 10mins waling distance away. Great for older couples or anyone who wants peace and quiet to relax.

Rooms and hotel is older style, but clean enough. No restaurant, but the mini fridge and tea/coffee is all you need if you visit a local supermarket. Great sun in the mornings, but the beach and pool are in shadow by the afternoon. No party atmosphere or bar service by the pool.

Location - close to Playa Norte, Lotus Beach, and restaurants on Hidalgo. Pool area was a great space to relax at end of day. All rooms on 1st floor have sliding glass doors with access to pool area.

Thought the hotel's beach would be accessible, but not on that side of the island. Easy walk, though. Pool bar with food options was open for few, irregular hours in the late afternoon/early evening.
