Cabanas Maria Del Mar

Right on one of most amazing beaches in the world! You don’t rent a car on this island just walk everywhere, r I’ll shops and restaurants. Beautiful garden setting. No frills rustic not for the complainer type. Clean, safe, comfortable, there was a safe in the room.

Can hear noise from the town. No frills rustic… not for the complainers.

Staff excellent. Very clean rooms. A/C cool, working well.

Pool was dirty.

The property and restaurant was right on Norte Beach which is the main beach area - the best location. Cold purified water available in the hallway

The original room purchased (ground floor cabanas) we were given was mouldy and dirty so we had to request to change to the Castle room which we had to pay extra for (thankfully not much) but it wasnt ideal to have to change rooms after 29 hours of travelling and being so late at night. Castle rooms were significantly better and massively improved out trip/stay

The location of this hotel is unbeatable for access to the beach at Playa Norte as well as shops, bars and food outlets. The more modern Castle Rooms I have stayed in are spacious and airy while the Ground Floor / Cabanas have lovely rustic decor and charm. Both are very reasonably priced compared to the fancier places nearby

When I have visited wi-fi has only been available in the pool area / reading nook and Buho’s cafe, which is not ideal

The location was only steps away from the beautiful, calm Playa Norte. It was very convenient and relaxing for snorkeling and swimming very close to our rooms. Lots of restaurants and street tacos are only right around the block from our location at Cabañas Marie Del Mar!

Staff were slow checking people in and out because they were also responsible for renting and checking in golf cart rentals as well as providing pool towels to guests.

I’ve stayed here three times now - it’s location is superb and price is good. it’s right by the beach and a very short walk to town so you really dons need a lot of facilities. The Garden next door is excellent for breakfast and lunch too. It’s a little outdated but doesn’t really matter as you’ll spend all of your time outside other than to sleep

Fridge wasn’t working

AMAZING location right on the beach. Definitely would stay here again. Nice complimentary coffee and toast while looking out at the beach. Super convenient and staff was super nice. Best location to stay on the island

Was a strange small dirty spot on the wall, not sure what it was but they were sure to take care of it. No wifi but we were able to reach the restaurant wifi

the location is very nice. We would have appreciated a little more information about towels,beach umbrellas and how the Cabanas had its own private access to the beach instead of using the front entrance and the street.

Not enough light in the room to read. Not being able to put toilet paper in the toilet was not nice.

Location is perfect. It's right on Playa Norte. The odd numbered rooms in the "Castle" have a nice balcony. It gives you a view of the beach, the sunset and the pedestrian street below. Not going to say there was anything I "didn't like". I liked it all. I'll just offer up a few observations. No WIFI in room. However, You can get it from your phone via cell service or hotel's public area and all the restaurants have free WIFI. Old TV set that didn't really work. Very poor reception. Not a big deal since I wasn't there to watch TV. Rather than get modern TV's, I would invest in good in-room WIFI. A new shower head in room 5 would be nice but now I'm just being picky.

The breakfast was very nice and helpful… Location was just awesome! We love it already for many years this place all together!

The better could be if you don’t charge for the beach bad and umbrella your guests, who wearing your braslette, then it will bring the value of your Hotel much higher… People still will pay for stay in your very convenient location Hotel, but they will feel much special and more comfortable if you included those equipment in price of your stay. Just used as a sign of payment the braslet and extend convenience for your quests.
