Bilderberg Garden Hotel

We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The room was spacious and most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the breakfasts were excellent. Would gladly stay here again.

Not ideally located, although there are some very nice streets nearby, and a park, which are well worth a visit.

I was lucky I got the last available room. My flight was cancelled so I had to book it at last minute and the time I got to reception, all information have already been received. Kindness of reception and fastness in getting the room and lay in a super-comfortable bed have been the star points. Unluckily I can't say more as I slept 5 hours and then back to airport. I didn't use any of the services.

Nothing in particular, maybe the size of the television was not enough (I shouldn't complain about that).

Breakfast was amazing, great variety and good quality items - all presented nicely. There was even some sparkling wine :) The staff was helpful and super-friendly everywhere. The area where the hotel is is quite quiet and off the main road but still easily accessible from the city centre. Only few tram stops away from the museum quarters.

Nothing wrong with the hotel or the rooms, I suppose the location is slightly remote. But still Amsterdam is quite small city anyway so you can even walk from the main museums to the hotel within 15 minutes.

Nice new hotel , good for accomadation.

Far from general city center and ammenties

Very clean hotel and I loved the free fruit provided each day. The room was more than good enough. Highly recommend this hotel

It wasn't very clear from booking and paying for my room that I'd have to pay 50 euros deposit for each day of my stay on arrival to check in to even be allowed access to the room I'd already paid a fairly high price for before arriving, as someone who stayed for 7 days this came to 350 euros. I found this very unpleasant and I think such things should be very clear in advance or simply factored in before arrival given your room is paid for in advance and sometimes card issues can occur during travel creating a situation you might not be allowed to stay where you already paid for etc.

The location was pretty good. It's close to the city centers and museum areas. All staff were so friendly(Amazing). There was a little mistake from the staff but they fixed it in a timely manner with an explanation.

Water flow in the shower room was weak due to low water pressure. In addition, it was a bit difficult to adjust the water temperature as sometimes it took me some time to warm up the water. It might be better to have a towel rack under the faucet. But not a major one.

The room was quite large. The WiFi was really good, but was not informed that to activate it I should already connect to it - searched for an info page in the room. Location was quite good, walked everywhere where I needed and breakfast even though was not excessively big choice in food. Liked that tasty apples were left out everywhere.

The elevator was excruciatingly slow opening and closing the door. Garbage truck every morning was right under my window and I slept with the door open for the fresh air and got woken up, so not that great. And the TV options were abysmal, i.e., no casual content in English.

The staff were very helpful and professional, particularly the 2 men serving at the Bistro/bar. The food was good. The rooms were a good size, the location was nice and quiet and the price was reasonable compared to others in the area.

Minor comments - I couldn’t work the temperature gauge to warm up the room. I stay at a lot of hotels for work and neither my partner or I could increase the heat so I was cold going to bed but the room seemed to be warmer in general the following morning. There weren’t any blankets in the wardrobe either, like in most hotels. Would be nice to have a couple more sachets of milk for coffee in the room, particularly since there is so little in each sachet. As a 5* hotel, I would like if they provided body cream as an additional benefit.

The location

The room is not in a level of 5 stars hotel. No gym, no spa, nothing special about just the location.

Spacious room with easy access; very nice breakfast dining area; very helpful and attentive staff at the front desk who were always willing to help with anything.

I didn't like their being only one tea bag in the room when there are two guests checked; I didn't like having to ask three times for extra hangers; I didn't like the fact there was no space to store folded clothes in the room; I didn't like the lack of communication from the restaurant staff regarding meals to order.
