Lisbon Sao Bento Hotel

Good location very close to the Metro. Quieter as not right in the centre, but easy walking or a Metro ride to get there. Comfortable bed in very light room on 6th floor. Room relatively small for a couple, but fine for a single traveller or for a short stay. Effective air conditioning and nice to be able to open the window too. Friendly, helpful staff. Good buffet spread for breakfast and gluten free bread provided as soon as we arrived each morning (after our initial request at check in).

Shower door didn’t close properly,

The staff is incredibly professional. They're very welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean. It does need a bit of maintenance - the headboard is a bit worn-out and the walls need to be repainted - but that's just a minor detail. All in all, it was great. It's pretty close to the Rato subway station, which helps with transport. Having walked from there to the hotel by myself late at night, it didn't feel too unsafe.

I enjoyed everything! Having stayed 2 nights, I got breakfast included twice. There wasn't much variety of food (I suppose if you stay there for a week or so, you might get bored). Despite that, it is good quality and tasty!

Spacious, modern, clean but the best thing was the staff. They were all polite, friendly and very, very helpful… food recommendations were brilliant too.

There was nothing we didn’t like… it was a little bit or a walk from the centre but we didn’t mind as it was a nice street and a nice walk. The breakfast was nice but not amazing especially if you arrive toward the end of the session as the food didn’t seem to be replenished and runs out.

Walking distance to public transport also near to all city center atractions. Clean and nice room with confortable bed. Nice brekfast buffet, very basic. Very welcoming and helpfull receptionists. Would stay here again defenitely! Recomended!

Sometimes the morning buffet was not restock. Some personell of the reception didnt know english very well. There was a false fire alarm one night and we got confusing answers. The coffe in the room was not restock everyday.

Location has good and easy connection with buses, trams and metro and 1/2 hour walk from city centre. Breakfast buffet is good. Beds are nice size and comfortable. No traffic noise in our room. Reception is speaking good English. Viagem value card is perfect for all transportation in Lisbon. Metro from Airport costs just 1.5€ with station 100m from hotel.

Little cupboard space for clothes. No hooks for jackets. Breakfast room can be crowded. Rather slow coffee machine at breakfast with a queue.

That it was modern and clean. And mostly: that the heating was very good and working perfectly. I was coming from a previous hotel and got a huge bad cold from that hotel. When I got to Sao Bento I was so happy that everything was working properly. Since this is February, heating is one of the most important things to have

Coffee machine in the room not working ( not a big flaw since the breakfast was included in my stay so I went downstairs for coffee) - The bathroom was not really separated from the bedroom. There was no wall, but some glass panels that when you closed the door, you could still see the bedroom through 2 cm gaps in the left and right of the door. This didn't affect me since I was travelling alone. But if I was sharing the room with anyone else, it would have been a big problem - The headboard had some material scratch off. That could have been easily fixed

The location is in a good area of Lisbon, can reach the old part of the town quite easily in about 15-20 minutes walking. The hotel is clean, the room was big enough, with a good size bed and bathroom. Nothing to complain. Friendly hotel staff. Public parking right in front of the hotel, affordable.

The breakfast was rather poor (however, this was first time in Lisbon, i do not know if this is standard. I compare it with other cities/countries). It was during the World Cup but in the Public area of the hotel there was no TV with the games and haven't noticed any bar service. Not many restaurants around the corner, so need to search for some place to eat nearby.

Seems like hotel is pretty brand new, it's nicely decorated. Location was pretty good, very accesible public transport but also many main attraction is on the walking distance from the hotel. The room is decent size, my room was oriented on the inner side, so I wasn't bothered with noises from the outside. Breakfast was delicious.

Two times I was asking for more towels but they didn't give it to me. Towels in this hotel are very thin, so they are useless after first using, that's why I need it more at least 2 towels per day. As I said breakfast was delicious but unfortunateely not too many options. Also, bed was very comfortable, but the pillows was not that much. In overal I'm satisfied I'd give the grade 8.6/10.

The staff was very polite, professional, and helpful. The breakfast was relatively varied and quite tasty. The location was 20 mins away on foot from the ocean. The Wi-Fi worked pretty stable and fast.

The bathrooms are located within the room but separated from the rest through opaque glass panes, which barely isolate sound, for example. There were many stains on the walls, floor, and bed coverings.

Very accommodating staff. Really looked after us. I came back from a very long flight and in need of a shower. I arrived a few hours before regular checkin time but was allocated a room immediately. Second time in that hotel. Next time we book it will be there again. The photo was taken from the balcony of our room.
