Hotel ibis Lisboa Liberdade

Good hotel. Clean and new. Good breakfast

I didn't really like the location, but that's on me. I didn't realize when I booked it was on the top of a hill so my old-ish mom had to walk up and down to get the tube etc. It wouldn't bother me at all if I was alone but with people with limited mobility it can be an issue, so you rely on a taxi

Location is good but the road to reach the Hotel from the Metro with luggage quite tough as it's located on a fairly steep climb

The hotel is located on a hill. There is a bakery, shop and some restaurants near the hotel. The surrounding hotel seemed quiet and clean to us. When we registered for the hotel's club, we were allowed to check-in an hour earlier. Luggage storage is available at the hotel. The room was large enough with air conditioning and blackout curtains. Window to the street, the window cannot be opened wide - fuse for safety. Even though we had a room right next to the elevator, it was quiet in the room, nothing disturbed us even from the outside. The bed was very comfortable, we slept great. Own bathroom with a large shower, hairdryer, soap and shower gel 3 in 1 available. We also paid for breakfast. Coffee from the machine, the possibility to make your own fresh juice from fresh delicious oranges. There is also a selection of pastries, great croissants and pastel de nata, fritters, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, hams, cheeses, muesli... We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and definitely recommend it. :)

The room was a bit musty. :/ We would appreciate the option of scrambled eggs or fried eggs, or sausages and especially vegetables for breakfast.

Great location, helpful free additions (safe box, push scooter, wifi, luggage room for day of departure and helpful staff). Very clean rooms.

Cushions could be more comfortable but they did have one spare which was comfortable and am sure they would have provided one if we asked. Corridor carpets could use a shampoo but nothing unusual there for hotels. Something hot (cooked eggs bacon etc) or some change for breakfast would be good as after 4 days a bit the same. That said for continental breakfast very good plus excellent idea to have a squeeze your own orange juice machine!

The location was just perfect for our needs. It is in between 2 museums (Natural Sciences (free on Monday) and art and objects museum). It is within 10min walk to a few amazingly good restaurants. The staff were just so positive and helpful. A special thank you to the Brazilian receptionist. But all of you were amazing. Thank you all.

The extraction fan in the bathroom didn't work. I had to hold the hair dryer up to dry the bathroom. After both of us had a shower, it had water dripping from the door frame.

Great location in Principe Real area which was very nice in itself, and also a pleasurable (despite maybe a tad long, for some) walk to Plaça de Comercio. Nearby are many restaurants; Botanical Garden; spas and hair salons; artsy, trendy stores, as well as chain retailers; transportation stops. Tascardoso restaurant is just on the other side of the Botanical Garden, a 10-minute walk from Ibis, and offers daily menus of hearty, traditional Portuguese dishes in a cozy, old joint, at reasonable prices (entrees 11-18 euros; fishes and meats with vegetables and legumes sides; house red 3.50/copo and also delicious)...The staff at this Ibis were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. New to both Lisbon and Ibis, I asked some advice or assistance with several things, so I interacted with maybe eight different staff members over my two-day stay--in reception, housekeeping, and food service--and they were all just so uniformly personable, relaxed, attentive and helpful that it struck me in hindsight: this staff was hands-down the nicest and most professional of any of the range of maybe 20 various hotels I've stayed at, in various countries, in the last three years. I could highly recommend this particular Ibis on that note alone, for the positive impact the staff members had on my trip overall. But also I would just like to thank them for the good experience they gave me, for putting me at ease and making me feel welcome and safe on my first visit to Lisbon.

Not a big deal, but I might have liked to have more than two outlets, and especially one in the bathroom might be good.

The whole hotel and room was spotless. Staff were very friendly. Beds were comfortable. Location is great, so close to everything. Really worth the money. The room was small as mentioned in the other rooms but it was spacious enough for sleep which is all you need it for really! Lift available and always working. Very quiet area surrounding and windows that block out any outside sound. Great lighting and fan in bathroom. Always plenty of hot water for 2 people showering. Despite the age and noise of the temperature controlled fan in the room it works so we were never too hot or cold. I think one day my own face cloth fell on the floor and we came back to it washed, dried and neatly hanging up, very nice gesture from cleaners!

No hand towels. We were greeted entering the room by the smell of cigarette smoke, and woke up to this every morning. It seemed to be coming from the vents.. really unpleasant for non-smokers. The mattress toppers they use to convert twin beds to double beds are quite loose on the bed and move around easily when moving in the bed. The pillow is big but not that comfortable, too big/bumpy/square like a cushion. The flow of the shower could be improved. It is either too light or too splashy, soaking the bathroom as the glass screen only covers half the shower. The water goes hot and cold but tolerable. There is no privacy curtain, only a blackout one, and there is another hotel right across.

The room was very nice and had a desk to work at, the bathroom was modern and clean with soap and shampoo, the internet worked fairly well, the breakfast was delicious! Would definitely stay here again! Better value than the Altis across the street, would definitely stay here if attending a conference!

Great and quite location near bars and restaurants as well as some of most important monuments of Lisbon. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was basic but absolutely worthy compared to prices of eating outside the hotel. Value for money!

The windows in the room cannot or we found it difficult to open to get some fresh air. Basic breakfast options.

Vey vey clean hotel and really close to center of Lisbon. Really good neighbourhood. The staff were exceptionally polite.

For a 2star hotel the breakfast was ok but not with many options. My room had an issue with bad smell from the sink which was a bit annoying but other than that the hotel was exceptionally good.
