Hotel da Baixa

My wife and I received an extremely warm welcome when we arrived at Hotel da Baixa. We were offered a complimentary breakfast and our luggage stored while our room was been prepared. By the time we finished breakfast our room was ready and our luggage had already been placed there. The staff placed a surprise gift in our room as it was my wife’s birthday. We honestly couldn’t believe it. What an introduction to Lisbon. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The rooms are comfy with all mod cons while retaining a classic Lisbon aesthetic. There is also a cocktail bar for unwinding after your day exploring. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel da Baixa.

Absolutely everything. The rooms are beautiful, the hotel is super modern, staff is very helpful and location is central to everything.

Absolutely nothing to complain about at all

We enjoyed a wonderful two night stay at Hotel da Baixa. We found the hotel clean, comfortable, and with all the modern amenities yet still plenty of old world charm that the Baixa area is known for. We had breakfast included with our stay and they provided a varied and delicious spread. If you bring your own vehicle, valet parking is available at a reasonable price. Last (but certainly not least) I can't say enough about the staff. From the moment we arrived they made us feel like VIPs.

It was close to so many sites like Santa Justa Elevator, praca dom pedro, praca do comercio, a 10 min walk to time out.

first they said they will give us complementary breakfast when we checked in then the next day when we came down for breakfast they said we were not on the list. They still gave us complementary breakfast but the day after we didnt have breakfast anymore at the hotel bec they might say again we are not on the list. The hotel anyway is close to so many breakfast place that you can chose like the copenhagen coffee lab excellent coffee and pastries.

the rooms were very dimly lit. noise insulation could be better the cab driver that the hotel arranged, charged us €20 for a €7 trip.

We stayed in four different properties during our trip through Portugal. They were all fine but this was far and away our favorite hotel of the bunch. Everything was excellent from the included breakfast buffet to the helpful staff and nicely appointed and tastefully decorated room. The location is perfect - just a few blocks from Rossio Station, Placa Comercial, and the Santa Justa Lift. Tram 28 and the Bus 737 (for the castle) both leave from the square a block or two from the hotel. Everything could not be more convenient. Plenty of restaurants in the immediate area too.

I usually try to include a few dislikes for the sake of a balanced review but this hotel was truly flawless!

The best place to go if you wanna visit Lissabon. It's great located in the middle of town and you can walk from there everywhere. Coming from the airport you take the metro and jump of at the station "Rossio" whoch is two minutes by foot away from the hotel. The hotel is just amazing! We are a couple and we often go to 4 or 5 star hotels and this is one of the top hotels in our opinion. They are outstanding nice, it's clean and super pretty. I told them upfront that it is my birthday and they surprised me with a cake in my room. At the check-in they offered us water, juice, beer...whatever you like. I can't imagine a better place to stay if you wanna visit Lissabon.

It was perfect!

We stayed at the hotel twice, once when we arrived in Lisbon and again before heading home at the end of our trip. The staff was extremely helpful and very service oriented. The rooms were comfortable and the location was perfect. I left a book at the hotel and when we returned for the second leg of our trip, I told the receptionist about it. I assumed I wouldn't find it waiting for me, but sure enough the receptionist gave me the book upon arrival. That has never happened to me anywhere else! We requested a late check out and they gave us a discounted price for an extra room. Everything was wonderful and we highly recommend this hotel.

There could have been more gluten free options for breakfast. Some of the rooms face other buildings that are a bit run down.

Location was the best in the city, central to everything. Five minute walk if that from the Rossio metro station which meant that there was easy access to the airport and to other parts of the city. Complimentary breakfast, mini bar and excellent service was much appreciated. Really couldn't fault anything. Would definitely stay here again.

Lots of little led lights that couldn't be turned off when all the lights were turned out, take an eye mask if these will affect your sleep.

The hotel was a nice surprise. The staff was lovely and helpful. Our room was upgraded to a better room with a view of the street. It was large and airy and quite comfortable. The location in the Baixa area is in the middle of lots of restaurants and shops. There were snacks available in the lobby in the afternoon and a couple of tarts waiting in our room as well. Breakfast was a nice buffet, full of choices. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, one gentleman even carried our heavy bags to the parking garage a block away.

The parking situation isn’t the best, but that is not the hotel’s fault- the street is currently closed for repairs so if you have a car, you must park a block or so away, but the hotel did offer to come to the garage to help with bags, which is amazing.
