Hotel Praia Sol

I was travelling with friends and stayed here as a stopover for 1 night (20min from the airport) before we continued our journey, it was perfect location for us so we stayed another night on our way back. Very friendly, helpfull staff, very clean rooms and hotel, good continental breakfast, with free parking, close to the sea front and restaurants. For a 3 star i would Highly recommend it ☆☆☆☆☆

Exceptional Staff who are very friendly at breakfast and throughout the day/night. Bar beverages under priced for a hotel, which encourages guests to gather and chat, creating a lovely atmosphere in the hotel. Comfy bed, rooms cleaned daily, good air conditioning. Good Location for walking to Vilamoura Harbour or Quarteira. 3euro choo choo from Quarteria passes by the hotel hourly if your legs are tired. All in all, we had a great time and would definitely recommend staying here.

The bad reviews we read prior to staying are the only things we disliked. Thankfully, we ignored them.

Enjoyed included breakfast, no omlette station but could request eggs from servers, really enjoyed my scrambled eggs. Room was good size with ample storage space and nice balcony. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and eager to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. For example got early check in and late check out. Front desk exceptional, e.g. offered to keep my drinks cool in their fridge. Then within an hour housekeeping turned up with mini fridge and installed in my room. Request for additional clothes hangers actioned extremely quickly. Liked pool area and loungers. Was there in peak season with high occupancy but always ample supply of sun beds/umbrellas, good quality pool towels available. Knew hotel was only about 5 minutes walk from beach but was concerned location might not have been well served by restaurants, markets etc as about 10 minute walk to marina area. Was not a problem as very short walk took me to 6 restaurants/bars, SPAR grocery, pharmacy. I ate in 4 of the places all fairly priced for quality getting.

Would have been nice to have tea/coffee making in room.

Someday they will make a movie of the Hotel Praia Sol! So you better get there before they do. No sooner do you enter the sunny hospitality of the breakfast experience, when Andry will provide you will freshly squeezed orange juice garnished with an incredible smile! Then Beatriz will inquire "Is there anything I can get for you?" The location is perfect! Praia Sol is positioned right between Quarteira and Vilamoura with a calm sunshiny stroll to the incredible beach and ocean. The lounge offers a quiet repose to watch your favorite TV sport or channel with a drink or casual conversation with the manager or owners, who are always available to assist your every need. The pool is so clean the birds drink from it! We planned to stay 1 night and stayed 3 weeks!! The entire staff were so friendly and helpful that they truly are a Family Hotel. We liked everything! The price was very economical and the pool very refreshing. Lots of room to lounge around the pool. You can play pool at the table provided for 1 euro. I can't think of a thing to complain about!

Excellent staff, clean, uncrowded, well situated, lovely pool and garden, excellent breakfast. Overall, we loved the place. They even provided breakfast at 3.30am on our departure! The picture shows the pool area, and there were no towels on sunbeds or crowds. A refreshing beer was cheap, and they did a great pizza when we arrived at 10pm.

The lack of small amenities, a fridge, kettle. My partner thought the bed was too hard, but I didn't.

The staff were so friendly, Tania had just started and was learning the job. She did so well, her customer service was excellent. As we’re all the staff, so helpful and friendly and inviting. I would certainly come again. More than a 3 star stay.

The rooms could be a little brighter in colour, does look a bit tired. The only issue we had was the mattress on bed was very uncomfortable but everything else was so good did not want to complain.

Everything was fabulous as this hotel was perfectly situated for visiting Quarteira or Vilamoura. If you've stayed in this area then you'll understand why this hotel is a hidden gem. The hotel rooms and facilities are immaculate and all the staff are very professional and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Much better than some 5 Star rated accommodation and I would definitely recommend this great hotel and we'll certainly be staying here again.

Great hotel in fab location, beach was a 5min walk and the marina 10mins maximum. Nice quiet hotel most times I had the pool to myself. Staff were all lovely they couldn’t do enough for you. I had a pool view room which was lovely. Highly recommend for a short break!

The breakfast wasn’t for me. There was little options and it wasn’t very clear what you got. My bed sheets had stains on also.

Staff were really friendly and welcoming and helpful for information always had big smiles everytime I was leaving or coming back to hotel. rooms were cleaned to a high standard daily. so close to the beaches and marina and not far from the airport. recommend using Uber for a taxi as it’s cheaper. breakfast was basic but everything you needed, didn’t use the pool area but looked clean and relaxing.

Nice small hotel in a great location, very relaxed uncrowded hotel with ample facilities for guests. The staff were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. I’ll be going back again for sure !!
