Luna Olympus

The hotel is in a great location, near the harbour and only a short, lovely walk to the beach. The hotel has a wonderful large pool, which is cleaned everyday and with lots of sun beds around it. We always had somewhere to sit. There was a second little pool around the corner too, which we didn't use, but would have been useful for someone with little children as it was shallower. The tennis court was a bonus and we hired the rackets and balls a couple of times during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed playing in such a lovely setting in the garden, near the pool. The suite we had was huge. It was basic but it had everything we needed. The balcony overlooked the garden and pool and was nice to chill out on. It also had a little hanging device to dry towels and clothes which was handy. The staff were really friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. For the cost we were really happy with the hotel as it was a great location and cheaper than others we looked at around there.

The decor is a bit dated, but that was a minor thing. The bed was two single beds pushed together but not attached, so we'd have fallen down the gap if we'd tried to lie across both! They also felt quite flimsy as when I sat on one side it felt like it might tip up!

The location of this hotel is excellent. Just behind the marina, literally a min away, just down one of the many side streets to the marina. Also about 25 minute walk to quarteira or 5 mins walk to the nearest beach. The 2 bedroomed apartment was very spacious, we had one of the apartments on the end of the hotel I don’t know whether that gave us extra space or whether all the rooms are the same. The room was also very quiet I didn’t hear any noise from the outside and we had windows facing over the main road and the pool. The staff were very friendly. Would definitely return.

The bathroom needs updating and the front of the cupboards in the kitchen could do with replacing. The bathroom was terrible though. They had painted the bath and it was all flaking off. Although the shower was very powerful I could only just get under it and I’m 5ft 5. There was no way my husband and son were getting under it at 6 ft 3, having said that the shower head was removable from the wall. The toilet also leaked now and again and the toilet seat didn’t fit properly and kept moving. There was no bar at the hotel, so nowhere to get cold drinks for around the pool unless you kept trailing right up to your apartment or you had plenty of change for the vending machine. I wouldn’t let this put you off staying though just purely cause if the location and spacious apartment

Great location, clean, modern, very friendly staff, typical continental breakfast included, comparably reasonably priced for the location and season (mid July) The apartment it self was huge , had a double balcony , clean and modern bathroom , kitchen and open plan living area. Working fridge and freezer , hob , kettle and toaster. If needed there is a safety deposit box as well. Air conditioning units were excellent , top of the range - cools the room in seconds. Would definitely recommend the apartments

Unfortunately the wi-fi didn’t work too well for me but thats a minor issue.

The apartment and hotel exceeded our expectations. Had two bed apartment with Marina view, really spacious, great balcony. fantastic view. everywhere very clean. handy supermarket just outside hotel. two minutes walk to bars. great service and very helpful staff. Air con was great which is a pleasant change.

Everything was great. A few little extras would be helpful like small amount of washing up liquid in kitchen and tea towels, some bigger coffee cups to get the caffeine quota in quicker. To be fair we liked everything.

For this location it was a fraction of the price of nearby hotels. Our 1 bed apartment was very spacious with a marina view, well equipped for self catering. Reception and cleaning staff were all friendly and helpful. We were happy with the space and location for the price we paid and would visit again. There is a small supermarket right by the entrance and larger ones close by. MacDonalds just about 2 mins walk and lots of restaurants nearby.

Just a small thing, one of the twin beds had a plastic type mattress protector which wasn't very comfortable.

The location right at Vilamoura marina could not be any better. Literally across the road from the marina. So easy and quick access to all the bars, restaurants and various entertainment that’s locally available. The room was spacious. The balcony provided a great view. The wi-do seemed pretty decent. Any staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

The bed wasn’t too good. I understand that a lot of these hotels are designed that the ‘double’ bed can be split into a twin. However, they need to invest in the mattresses that can be zipped together to make a proper double bed. And if they know it’s a double, use double sheets and prepare the bed correctly. This was just two singles pushed together. And, as a minimum, at least use two mattresses that are of the same height level. I felt like I slept in a separate bed from my partner all week. Not too comfortable. The air-con was ‘decent’ if a little noisy. But it did keep the room cool enough and didn’t affect any sleep. Some parts of the room could do with a little upgrading. But, all in all, it’s a good place to stay.

The location is excellent. A short walk to the Marina which comes alive in the evening. There are an amazing range of restaurants to choose from. The beach is also a short walk away and is clean. The hotel itself is dated but very clean. We had a 2 bedroom apartment and it was huge and had a fabulous balcony across the two bedrooms.

Could do with an update. Bathroom doesn't have a fan and really needs a spruce!

We have stayed in this hotel before and would highly rate this. The location is excellent right on top of the Marina and the room was very large and comfortable and the maid service was exceptional - lovely ladies - Thank You!

As I have a mobility/joint problem it would be an idea to put some grab rails in the bath/shower and also on the steps that lead into the pool.

location was best, supermarket just under the hotel. The cafe and restaurants are near, 10 meter, the beach is 10 min. by foot. Best location to stay. Don t know what the prices will be in summer, but in April it was very good priced. Had a great balcony ,No sea view but very airy and green scenery.

no one is staying at the reception , each time you call for them and the minute you turn around, they disapear. but not a big issue, the minute you call they come again..

The apartment was spacious. We were on the 6th floor and the view over the marina and beyond was amazing. Watching the sunset on our balcony was incredible. It is a 2 minute walk to the marina and all its bars, restaurants and shops and a 5 minute walk to the casino. Whilst some TLC is required for the money we paid this was fantastic value.
