Centre Point Chidlom - SHA Extra Plus

The location on Soi Langsuan is very central. Two Skytrain lines are a few minutes away on foot (with tuktuk service available to Chidlom Station via Mercuryville), a new development nearby with a wide variety of restaurants and a supermarket in the basement, and Lumphini Park is 10 minutes away. The property is quite dated, and the rooms’ interiors show their age. That said, the rooms are quite large with plenty of storage space. The staff were also quick and generous in responding to requests for amenities.

The Wi-Fi was spotty, and I struggled to connect. In the end, I hotspotted off my local SIM card. We had booked a family suite with two large bedrooms, but only one bathroom. And there was no sofa.

The room is clean and comfortable, the choice of breakfast is rich.

Some personal items aren’t provided, such as comb, room slippers.

This is our second time, and I will always look to book here first. Great serviced-apartment style place. There is not hotel restaurant The pool is often very cold as it is totally covered but doesn't seem to have any heating In the 'family room' it is not a 2-double bedroom apartment/room as it appears. The second bed is in the living room, so you then have no living room space - this should be made clearer.

A respected hotel should ensure that the taxis operating at its doors are fair, follow regulations, and polite. The hotel staff cooperates with taxi drivers who park outside the hotel and charge double price.

Centre Point Chidlom provided us with a pleasant base for our few days in Bangkok. Admittedly, having been to Bangkok before, this was more of a location for chilling out, relaxing, doing some online work and popping into various coffee shops for tasty beverages, which it offered! it is also close to Lumphini Park, a great spot for running, and dodging HUGE monitor lizards! We didn’t sample the hotel food as we decided to go without breakfast, but we were impressed with the cleaning staff, particularly as they noted our need for hanging things up so brought in a rack and some hangers, without us even asking! The gym was ok and the pool offered a functional swim, it was also nice to have a free tuk-tuk ride to parts of the local town. It was also pretty close to the subway system for ease of access to parts of the city. Overall, not a bad place to stay!!

It might have been the weather, but it was quite dark, with less natural light than we’d have liked! Whilst the cleaning staff were thoughtful, in this age of sustainability and being eco-friendly, we didn’t need the towels changing every day and we’d have liked fewer plastic bottles with more water refill stations.

The staff was very friendly. There are drinks available in the day time. Price was FANTASTIC for the room i got, which makes it great value. The room came with a balcony, which is great as the newer hotels do not come with this. Location is not as convenient as those properties along wireless road but the street it sits on is littered with small street food stalls and a great Starbucks, nestled in a house with lots of greenery.

Whilst i was first attracted to the location, the hotel is quite a far walk off a busy street (at times). It is about a 15min walk from the hotel to the Erawan shrine. And in Bangkok, its either hot or its raining, either way, you would be wet by the time you get back to the hotel (if you walk). One other thing to note is, GRAB drivers are not keen to pick up from the hotel lobby, perhaps because the street is one way, but i do not know the real reason. I had 3 GRAB drivers cancelling on me, which was very annoying and I was late for the appointment, however, taxis are plentiful around the area. Other than that, its a really great hotel.

This property is fantastic for travelers that want proximity to everything without being directly in the middle. It is walking distance to public transportation and shopping, but not in the center of nightlife. The facilities are nice, but nothing extravagant for a glamorous photoshoot.

The area tends to shut down in the early evening, so you are located in a semi secluded area for anything you might want at night. While the proximity to the nice restaurants and services is great during the day, when business shuts down, so does the area.

Located at center area of the city, it is very convenient to go popular shopping malls such as Central World, SIAM Square, Platinum, MBK, etc in few minutes by taxi or BTS. Nearby of the hotel on the same road has Convenient Stores including 7-11, Family friendly massage and Dining places. Surrounding of the hotel on the same road has many other condos and apartments, and is considered quiet oasis in the center of the city. Staff are very professional and helpful. We stayed in family suite including washing machine and microwave oven, stove. One day before we went out for shopping, we did laundry, hanging our laundry over kitchen counter since there is no place to hang our wet clothes. After we were back into the hotel room, we were surprised to see cloth hanging rack in our room. The staff who did room make-up seems putting it after she saw our clothes putting over kitchen counter. We so much appreciated it. In summary, Location, Service, Staff … all make our experience excellent at Center Point.

+ Perfect location: near bts station Chit Lom, walking distance to Central World, mbk center and Siam Paragon shopping malls + Perfect shuttle service from station to hotel and back (please tip the driver 40 baht) ++ Breakfast very good! + Comfortable bed + Staff very friendly and helpful, speak good english + Very quiet in the room + Good amount of power sockets near the bed for charging phone and alarm clock etc

- Window blinds do not close 100% (special on the sides the light reflects in the mirror 😢 so in the morning the room is by far not fully dark - It can take 2 minutes before the shower gets warm. And in between shower, the hot water stops again for 2-3 minutes while you are soaped up 😉 - The shower head is suitable only for Thai people: at the highest point it is at my chest (and i am only 1.83) lucky you can use it by hand as well

I booked the Zensation room for 3 nights and it came with a full kitchen, a small sofa area and a bedroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and so is the fancy Japanese bidet in the bathroom. Breakfast was a lavish spread and one of the best breakfasts I have had in the city. Lumpini park is about 10 minutes walk away and helps you access the MRT & BTS easily. The location is more of a business area and is away from the nightlife action.

The rooms are a bit dated and had a bit of a damp smell. However this was not in the bedroom.
