Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok

for a 5 star property, they still hv a lot to achieve. we pay 5 star cost for everything yet for the basic service, tye staff stands on r head and make small talk for cash remuneration. I hv never understood the concept of tipping for doing their job. it is the hotels responsibility to pay the staff well, not the customers. Tipping sometimes is fine if the service is exceptional but a simple room service and they wait for us to tip is quiet annoying.

We loved the comfort, cleanliness and friendly vibe of the hotel. It is in a great location, very close to the sky train and metro. we also enjoyed being able to pop into the mall which was just over the bridge. The staff were fantastic, always friendly and helped us when needed. breakfast has a lot of variety and didn’t feel too busy at any point. The winter decorations made the hotel feel very Christmassy which we also loved. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have stayed in!

The hotel was just a really great overall package - starting from the fast Check-in, the clean room, the comfy bed, the nice litte surprise for our honeymoon, the possibility to use the pool and the shower room after check-out etc. To be fair it was our first time staying in a hotel of the Marriot Group but our expectations were exceeded - actually we were really sorry that we had to leave after just one night and fly back. Service at breakfast surprised us the most as it was really fast and tables were also cleaned promptly - it felt really well managed. They even asked some rude guests to turn down the volume on their phones as they were disturbing everyone around, this is something we encountered multiple times on our trip and the first hotel that took some action. Concerning the pool - it really is great and feels more like a resort than a hotel in the heart of Bangkok.

The rooms seem to be a bit older regarding the furniture, colours and appliances - but be didn't bother as everything felt really well maintained and serviced. Actually, the room felt better (higher quality) than rooms of newer hotels nearby that also claim the 5 star status.

We decided for this hotel for our 1 day Quarantine and although it is slightly more expensive than other options I would 100% recommend it. It is 100% hassle free and that is what I like when I am on vacation. Easy pickup from the airport, test in car, easy checkin, room service for food. Perfect. And the breakfast is one of the best I had in a long time.

All in all, absolutely nothing to complain about! I first visited the hotel in 2012 and after that, it has been my no 1 favorite hotel in Asia to this day. You cannot ask for anything better in Bangkok or in Thailand as a whole. It is well worth the money!

If I would ask for anything, it is actually only two simple things: A) Switch back to the old lemongrass-infused shampoos and shower cremes! They gave Sheraton that extra, exotic touch of Asia that we foreigners just love. The current ones are ok but they feel and smell like in every other high class hotel. Nothing special about them, unfortunately.. B) Skip the 12 month time limit in tour new bonus program - it might sound that you save money on it but for tourist travelers it just makes the program pretty useless. The previous with like a 5 year limit made me plan business trips to your chain but it won't do anymore. Bad for you, bad for me..

The staff is just amazing.... I've been to the hotel many times and I know them well which helps but they are genuinely great staff.

Room service food used to be amazing.... unfortunately not anymore.. I've had 80% of my meals through room service with my family few times.... I hope it can improve back to what it used to be. Also I think it's a bit pricey than it used to be. Considering what the competition is... And there is a lot.. I never thought I would change but maybe next time I will try another hotel just to save some money.

Absolutely amazing and beautiful hotel. It suits the name of 'luxury' - not only the facilities and the room was gorgeous, but the staff also took everything to the next level. They made efforts and paid attention to details, making sure that we felt special and cared for. Not just one staff, but the whole staff was absolutely amazing, kind, attentive, and courteous. Their food was very good too, I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely stay here again.

Taxi(when using apps such as Grab or Bolt to call them) did not want to come here because the traffic around the area was really bad. However, this hotel is connected with 2 train lines so we had no problem moving around. The hotel is far from the airport so there is no shuttle

Location is perfectly central in the middle of Sukhumvit with MRT and BTS just in front of the hotel. My room was truly gorgeous with a very pretty bathroom (with beautiful tiles from Chiang Mai) and a great view. It was super clean and the staff always very helpful. The breakfast offered everything that one could have wished for. The pool area was AMAZING!!! A real oasis in the middle of the city. My best hotel experience ever!

The breakfast was simply define, with so many choices! My guests and loved every part of this massive and delicious buffet, something for every palette. The staff trained to perfection on execution of service. Everyone was willing to assist as needed. The environment was warm, inviting, yet sophisticated.

Well, one of party slipped and fell in the bathroom. The tiles are quite slick when wet. They did ask if she was okay or needed a doctor, but she said she was OK. I thought they may have compensate a night, had to ask and they took off $20 of a beverage bill. This was the only down side, they could have done better.

The hotel is centrally located a short drive from everything there is to do and see in Bangkok. The room was large and spacious, the hotel staff cleaned the room twice a day and made sure we were satisfied. The breakfast is rich in a selection of flavors, suitable for everyone. There is a huge selection of things and the service of the dining room staff is exceptional that I have not seen elsewhere. In fact we loved everything about the hotel. Its location is right next to the subway station. It is opposite a mall called Terminal 21 which is considered the best place in Bangkok to eat local street food.

Everything was fine. I must emphasize the exceptional kindness and service of all the hotel employees. You don't see such service everywhere.
