Melanj Airport Hotel

This hotel was much better than I expected. We needed a place to stay only for 8 hours since our flight was very early next day and we didn't want to go back to the city. This place is perfect if you need an accommodation next to the airport and don't want to spend too much. The hotel is super clean, quite small but definitely worth the price.

It serves the purpose, it is near airport and reachable by taxi. Good for overnight sleep between flights. Big savings compared to hotel right in the airport.

Dont take their transfer but the regular taxi at ghe aiport, it is much cheaper

The staff was extremely nice, room clean and equipped with everything we might need. Perfect place for a stopover in Istanbul, highly recommended.

It’s actually quite far from the airport, but given the fact how huge the airport is and how far it actually is from the city, it doesn’t really matter. The service was superb!

The staff were very friendly and provided an option to book a cost-effective yellow taxi instead of the higher priced hotel transfer option. Free water bottles were also a plus, and the room was very tidy and clean, with a great view of the nearby town/city. The room was quiet and despite constant air traffic above, very little plane noises could be heard inside the room.

The air-conditioning was a little weak (though technicians were on-site on the same day looking at fixing the problem) - it still did its job and allowed us to sleep comfortably during the night, but it still struggled to lower the temperature of the room properly.

Super communicative and helpful staff. Our room was modern and clean and check in took less than a minute. Shuttle was good too. €50 round trip which was a little pricey but better than dealing with the airport taxi scams where once you’re in the taxi, they tell you no meter and quote you price 200lira more than what the meter should be and threaten to leave you by the highway if you didn’t agree. We experienced this twice both to and from the airport even after they said they will use the meter.

Had to wait for a large group to be taken by a person to the carpark and take an elevator down to meet the hotel shuttle with lots of luggage.

It is only 8min from the airport. The rooms are modern and very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I booked a room with Jacuzzi and garden view and I received no Jacuzzi and street view. Furthermore, during the night they might have had some confusion as our door was opened by mistake during the night. My impression was that a family arrived late during the night (we could hear all the noise) and they wanted to give our room, until they noticed it was taken (?). In compensation for the room mistake (no jacuzzi) I was offered a free taxi ride, I took it as there was no other room and I didn’t feel like searching for a hotel room somewhere else after 8pm.

This is a nice modern, quiet hotel near Istanbul airport. A comfortable place in a handy location for travel although the local town has few amenities. Staff were helpful, the room was lovely and the shower excellent so we would use it again.

Unfortunately meals have to be delivered from an outside supplier, which was expensive for travellers arriving late in the evening. Breakfast was also supplied from outside and we were really disappointed with the quality and quantity of the items delivered , especially in a country which specialises in wonderful breakfasts.

We had a 41-hour layover,so we needed somewhere to stay between the flights. We had a kid and a cat, so the cleanliness was important. The hotel met our expectations, they picked us up as arranged (almost), the room was really very clean, they offered breakfast from a nearby hotel, checked us in a little early, respected our request not to enter the room (because of the cat). Overall, the staff were as helpful as they could. And the view from our room was simply amazing!

The large window in our room didn't close completely, and the wind was howling in the small gap that remained. Also, it was raining, and there was water in the window rail. The room didn't have any local lighting, i.e., a table lamp or a bedside lamp would be very welcome. Also, there were only 2 spare sockets in the room (and 2 more in the bathroom, but one doesn't usually charge gadgets there). Finally, prepare cash for food and transportation, because the hotel does not accept cards for that. They warn about it in advance, but still.

The best is the reception personnel. Kader was really nice and helpful with us. We forgot our mobile phone when leaving the hotel and one of the staff took the car to chase our taxi to return our phone. We are really thankful for the good choice that we did. Hotel price is good, at 15min to IST airport by taxi/uber/transfer, rooms are decent, small bathroom but functional.

A totally blackout curtains will help a lot. There are two type of curtains, one translucent and other mid-translucent (darker). The darker curtain doesn't stop the sunlight when the sun rises, and even at night, the street lights enters light the room. This is the only dislike that we have about the room. They should install blackout curtains.

Close to the airport (by car/transfer). Reasonably cheap. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Beds were good. The view was good too. Downtown is surprisingly large and bustling, and is within relatively walkable distance. Friendly staff.

Wifi was barely usable: ~1Mbps, losing packets, and even disappearing altogether every so often for a minute or two. Shower is not separated enough from the rest of the bathroom, so it naturally leaks everywhere, and the floor gets rather slippery.
