MENALO HOTEL PREMIUM ISTANBUL AIRPORT

Good breakfast, great room which was better than I expected.

The taxi service could be and should be better, for the price you charge (70 euro for a trip to the one way ride to the city center, while the same service can be booked for 45 euro). Also, your taxi driver should be a bit more humble and not ask for tips: for a one way ride from hotel to IST airport (only a few kilometresaway) he asked for a 200 lira tips. This behaviour is deeply inappropriate I believe. Otherwise, everything else was great.

staff was great. very nice location if you want to stay near the airport.

we were just arriving to the room and while we were going inside a lady from next door start shouting about she couldn’t sleep because everyone was smashing doors. this has nothing to do with the hotel but was very bad and rude while we were just arriving to the room and had nothing to do with the previous noise. Doors are actually noisy as there is a small alarm ringing every time door is opened/ closed.

It is just 10 mins drive from the airport so if you have an early morning flight, it is very convenient. The staff are very courteous and helpful. Their airport pickup and drop service was great (35 Euros to and fro). They had a USB port in the room for charging devices which was great if you didn't have an adapter for European plug points.

The hotel is clean and charming, but it is in a village. The restaurant does not serve any alcohol so if you like beer or wine with your meals, then please buy it from the airport as there are no shops close by. Meals at the restaurant are expensive for Turkey - we paid more than 60 Euros for dinner for 2 of us ( without any drinks, starters or dessert).

Functional. Everything worked.

Breakfast food quality was horrible. Ingredients used were old and poorly handled.

From the arrival and departure it was everything well organised and done. Many thanks to Tughan from the reception and Nurullah (bellboy) who assisted with anything we wished. Also many thanks for the good breakfast package, the wakeup call, and the gift to my birthday - some free of charge fruits which made my day.

I would only recommend the hotel transfer when u want a little bit more luxury than a standard taxi. A taxi from the airport is extremely cheap and cost just about €4. The transfer is 35€. Thats much overpriced. The hotel doesn’t offer any alcohol - no beer or wine or champagne. This is a No-Go for Restaurants. Due to this reason we ordered food to our hotel room and bought some champagne anywhere else. The Hotel restaurant food quality could be improved also a little bit.

1. When I arrived by airplane, I took an official taxi. I showed to the taxi driver the hotel name and the address and asked him if he knows where it is. He confirmed including telling his buddies taxi drivers that he is going to Menalo. Then he took me to the wrong hotel near Green mosque. I yelled at him and I did not pay him. I threatened to him that I’m going to call the police. That was an official taxi! Then a private shuttle from the hotel where he brought me to drove me to the Menalo Hotel for a fee of 70 Turkish lira. 2 Manalo hotel looks like a resort. I changed three rooms in one night: the first one did not have a window in the bedroom. The second one was cold. The third one was perfect. 3. I went to the restaurant for dinner. I ate lamb chops. They were amazing, the service was fabulous and the whole restaurant experience was top-notch 100% percent. But no alcohol (even beer), so bring your own! Recommendation: when you arrive and you pay with your credit card or cash upon arrival, do insist on having the receipt being printed for you right there. They will try to avoid it and will tell you that they will send it to you by email. However, if you insist, they will print it for you immediately. Tell them that you pay only if they provide receipt. The receipt that was sent to me a few days after by email is pretty much non-comprehensive and totally different from what I received in hotel.

Chattel bus should be included in the price. You take a taxi and you get “Shuttled” to a wrong hotel even by official taxi. Not only this is inconvenient, but stressful and dangerous. The hotel should provide shuttle included so that people look for shuttle only instead of saving money and becoming a target for criminal taxi (official) drivers.

Very warm hotel and extremely clean . Friendly staff and very helpful .Kadir in reception was excellent as were all the waiters and housekeeping staff.

We would have like a glass of wine with dinner but no bar service . Windows in bedroom were doors opening onto small balcony's. . Air in room very dry due to air conditioning and no natural ventilation . Had to get up during the night to open the window/door to ventilate the room , Poor lighting,no bedside lamp so unable to read book unless using light on mobile phone.

Spacious room. Fresh air. Nice territory. Very good breakfasts at Restaraunt. Great staff in the Restaraunt. Mohammed at reception is so amazing. Helped us a lot. We booked a vip transfer from airport and to the Airport. The car was big and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay in Menalo hotel.

We travelled with a child. 4 years. There is no playground for children at all. I think playground is needed. Swings, slide are necessary. There is a big territory to make the kid's corner outside. And maybe inside when winter and raining. Also please turn on music in Restaraunt. Without music it is so quiet. We were afraid to speak loud. Calm background music is needed. And very dark rooms in the evening because of little light. More lamps please. If you will make all this Menalo will be the best hotel.

We were staying for transit through Istanbul airport and decided to stay at this hotel because it was really close to airport. They immediately provided transfer service from airport. Personals were very pleasant with our 9 month old child and we felt very comfortable.

They did not have chair for child, but promised us that they will provide next time :) We did hear some TV noises coming from next or up room, but our child was sleeping without problem.

Really friendly staff! We especially appreciate FURKAN who was very professional and kind. Our room was spacious and clean. Only about a ten minute taxi ride to the airport. A few things to be aware of though: 1) If you are a couple, you must show a MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE, 2) use Uber to taxi to/from the airport to save money (ours was about $7 which is better than the $20ish the hotel charges), and 3) does not serve alcohol. If you are okay with those things, I highly recommend this place.

Expensive restaurant (although delicious). Doesn't take American Express.
