The staff super ok, cleaning is done daily in the rooms, excellent location

The breakfast is very bad.. although it is the 5th time we stay here, we choose this hotel only for the location and cleanliness.. the breakfast is rich, but the same things every day, the lowest quality of all the products. The whole menu should be changed, it goes a lot on low cost..even the coffee is very bad (I know that ness is served everywhere, but the one here is of very poor quality).

it’s always a pleasure to be back and every time the staff makes sure they make our stay a memorable one. Clean spacious rooms in the heart of the old city, fast Wi-Fi connection, great breakfast and a perfect location. Definitely recommend for everyone visiting Istanbul and hope to return soon!

The location is perfect! It is walking distance to the major points of interest as much as to the main public transportation ( tramway, boats...)! It is just perfect! The rooms are small( they inform you about this in their confirmation email) but well equiped and for a person like me who spent the whole day outside it was very good. Clean room, comfortable bed and the staff....my goodness, they are so kind, helpful and always smiling! It was my birthday and they greeted me in a very heartwarming way. Ahmed at the front desk is a jewel! Always there to help and gives very good advices, do not hesitate to ask him! All the staff( housekeeping, bellboy, reception..) thank you! I would definitely recommend and come back to Maywood hotel!

More options for a continental breakfast would be a plus.

overall nice stay, good hotel. Big soft and comfortable bed, decent size of the room, bright, with big enough bathroom, white towels and bedsheets! Comfortable sleep and nice touch up of the room what else would you need after the whole day strolling sightseeing of Istanbul! Also there is a next door hotel which is the same branch ‘Old Maywood Hotel’ totally after renovation…still the smell of new refurbishment! Definitely recommend these two hotels. Staff are great, thanks to them! A parrot in the lounge area is like hotel owner’s baby, being looked after very well ☺️

Recommendation: to put food name plates next to each dish would be a benefit. Being a foreigner you prefer to know what is it on the buffet menu trays. Fried eggs were missing on breakfast too.

the reception staff are very nice to talk to. they have great respect and they are easy to have a laugh with.

the cleaner used my makeup and tried to hide it. I would recommend keeping everything packed or in the safe

The hotel is in excellent condition. The comfort of the rooms and the amenities of the hotel are at a high level. The staff is young, kind, polite and trained. The location is excellent - nearby small restaurants, store by the corner, public parking in 5 minutes by walk.

The water in the bathroom is extremely soft, but more or less in the same in all Istanbul.

Hotel rooms are like in the pictures and cleaning is done daily, location is good, close to main attractions from Istanbul, staff is polite and always there to help if you have any question.

Breakfast can be improved, you get the same things each day and the quality is not the one expected at a 4 stars hotel. Not all rooms have windows facing outside. We had a room that was facing the interior fire exit stairs and because of the smell coming from there we could not keep the window open. Also, as the air condition system was just functioning on hot air during the winter we could not get any fresh cold air in the room.

A very comfortable and well priced hotel. The reception crew are very welcoming, pleasant and helpful with attentive staff throughout hotel. The breakfast is beautiful with lots of variety and the staff go over and above to ensure you have a pleasant experience. The rooms are up to hotel standards with everything you need, including kettle tea/coffee (ask for complimentary pack) and a fridge. You would be lucky to snag a room with a a balcony. The cleaning staff is superb. Overall, location is prime as it is steps away from Sirkeci tramway and the Marmaray, and in close proximity to Gulhane park.

We would have preferred it if breakfast was offered at least until 11am. No terrace for breakfast.

Excellent location, very central and in a very lively area with lotsof food options nearby. Only a short walk to the Bosphorus Strait and one of the bridges. Train station was very close as well and the hotel is located in the old town area, about 10 tp 15 mins walk from the three mosques, including the Blue Mosque. Great quality breakfast, fresh produce. The room was cozy and really enjoyed the balcony view. The staff were very helpful and couldn't do more for you! They even had a great parrot Jano in the lobby. We even got some free slippers (something which we forgot to bring) and the room was kept very clean. Was our first time visiting Istanbul and we were very happy with the hotel. Would definitely stay again!

Hard to think of anything at all! The only thing that was slightly inconvenient was that the shower draining system was a little strange and the water was draining slowly but didn't cause any real issue.

The most amazing and thoughtful staff! Accommodation lovely and clean and everything you need. BEST LOCATION EVER!
