smell in the bathroom

The location is good, 10-15 min walking from the major tourist attractions. 4 min walking to 2 tram stations. It was cleaned every day and I got fresh towels every day. The front desk officer helped me with carrying my suitcase to the room upon arrival. The mattress was very firm. The breakfast is ‘all you can eat’ and very healthy - cheese, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers… (mediterranean). There are chairs on the rooftop, and on one side there is a nice view overlooking the water.

The curtains are very thin/see-through and if you are not an exceptional sleeper, chances are you will be woken up by the first rays of light in the morning. The room is very small (and relatively pricy for the size), you can only sit on your bed. The bathroom had a moist and stenchy air (you have to leave bathroom door and window from the room open over day). During the night when I’d close the window (because of street noise) the stench would build up. You hear everything that’s going on in the halls, the walls are not isolated from noises. Also I very often heard a washing machine centrifuge noise. The waiter cruised all the time through the dining room while we were eating, staring at what we take. This ‘constant monitoring’ made eating breakfast less enjoyable.

We were really satisfied with everything else, stuff is nice, welcoming, friendly, helpful, rooms are okay, kind of old-style but I don't mind it, sometimes I feel better in that environment rather than something too fancy. Rooms were clean, bathrooms also, they even let people use terrace/rooftop (you can chill there, smoke, enjoy the view...). Also, location is really good, very close to Metro (Marmaray station), Tram (Sirkeci station) and Eminonu (bus and ferry), all on walking distance (within 5 mins) plus location is very safe, lot of shops, restaurants and hotels around.

Internet could be better (connection breaks frequently so for us that was sometimes a problem cause we work online) and breakfast is nice but could be sometimes slightly different (however, that's not a big issue cause you want to try to eat outside sometimes anyways).

location was great just near to tourist attractions without being in a too busy area yet in a quiet neighbouhood .the room is a bit small but its ok for the price .the breakfast was too good and very helpful bacause served early 06:00 to 10:00.centrally located near sirkeci metro station to move to asian side of istanbul .

the door of the toilet does not lock even how hard i tried . you have to expext some wear and tears in the rooms because it seems the property is a bit old.very few channels with english . a small hangar for towels in the rooms would have been helpful.

My second time here. I love this hotel. It is decent, cozy, and clean. The beds are comfortable. There is a lift not like many other hotels in istanbul that have those round narrow staircases. Very kind and polite staff they are always ready to help. Special thanks to Mohammed, Hasan and Hassan. The good news is that they are renovating some floors. Which means that they are always trying to meet the best standards for their customers. The area is safe and away from the hassel although it is in the center. 3 min away from Gulhane tram stop and Sirkeci tram stop same for Marmary metro station

The hotel price is the best, the room is clean and in good condition except that the room is small but that's not a big issue for me, the hotel location is close to metro and tramway station 3 mins walk, the breakfast is good, the staff is so friendly and cooperative

The walls of the hotel is so thin somedays i can hear people talking across the hall or in the rooms nearby.

Amazing location, super helpful staff, considering very few people speak English outside the hotel, thanks them a lot for a guiding! Very fresh good air right behind the hotel a park with a huge trees and green parrots and also breeze from the Bosporus.

A bit noisy in the night, but keeping the window close solve the problem :)

As a frequent traveler to Istanbul city I can say that the location was in a decent area and very safe at any time. It is just few away from the police station. There are several entrances for Marmaray Metro Station which are 3-5 minutes away. Also Sirkeci and Gülhane Tramvay stations are so close. So no matter which street you walk through you will reach the trains in the average of 5 minutes. My room was cozy, clean and most importantly it was warm but there was no fridge in the room. The bed was comfy and clean. Also the bathroom was odorless unlike many hotels in Istanbul that have smelly bathrooms. There is an elevator which is not a common facility in many small hotels in the city. The staff (Ibrahim, Mohamed, and Hasan) are very polite and very helpful. Also the cleaning lady was smiley and polite. I really appreciate their service. The breakfast is prepared in a plate with unlimited coffee or tea. They always served me tea in the cold nights. I requested a taxi. He was on time and he was so polite. I appreciate they chose Omer to drive me to the airport. I was there on time and he was driving so good. And he was honest with the charge rate. I give 10 points

Hotel is decent,i was there with my husband for 7 days. Breakfast every day is on time and itd casual. Rooms are clean and they clean rooms every day, brining all new and fresh stuff inside. U have good host there, we didnt have any issue so for that price we get very good service.

The personnel is very friendly and ready to help. All requests very satisfied with pleasure. Very central location. Very good ratio Value for Money.

Breakfast was Ok however choice of meals might be a bit more.
