Being newly opened on the day I arrived, everything was clean and beautifully laid out. The room was amazing, very spacious with a small table and two armchairs. My room was at the back of the hotel overlooking the private car park, which was an added bonus. The food was beautiful and the menu was very varied, something for all tastes. Although I don't have a dog, this place is dog friendly and I saw quite a few different ones during my stay. The staff were really friendly and ready to help whenever it was needed. The manager was really down to earth and mucked in wherever she was needed, a really lovely lady. My bed was comfortable and the en suite was perfect, loved the choice of huge, overhead shower or the conventional one on a riser rail and also loved the fact that I think they are power showers, really strong output of water. The decor is up to date and beautiful, just love the landing and room carpets. I liked the security of the place as no one can get to the bedrooms unless they have the magnetic card to open doors.

I can't fault this place in any area.

The location was great! Right on the High Street and very handy for all the shops etc. But our room was at the back of the building so it was quiet even if the view was not very inspiring. The Inn is more of a restaurant than a pub and there was no rowdiness even on Friday and Saturday nights. The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. The menu had some gluten free options (although not a huge selection) and the staff were very good about making sure I got the gluten free food I wanted.

The bed was very comfortable apart from the duvet cover which had no fastening and easily became rucked up.

We've stayed at the Northallerton Inn a few times now (it's our go-to when we visit my partner's mom in East Cowton). Every time we stay we're reminded of why it's such a good choice. The room itself is great--comfy bed, coffee/tea things in the room, USB and outlets on both sides of the bed, a DREAM shower (seriously powerful!), a fan for the warmer days. Decor in the room is also very nice--I'll never look at green subway tiles without thinking of the Northallerton Inn. :) So there's a ton of style and functionality in a dog-friendly room. Perfect. The bar and restaurant are also great--nice variety of breakfast dishes in particular. Great poached eggs! And it's great that it's not just the room that's dog-friendly but the whole building. I feel like this is a detail that other places that claim to be dog-friendly aren't always forthcoming about. The best part of the stay was of course the staff. Our dog was treated like a QUEEN (snacks, roast beef, scrambled eggs--it was her holiday too!). Everyone was so genuinely friendly and so genuinely helpful. I've been to other places in the Inn Collection, but the Northallerton team has never disappointed. Thanks for a great stay.

Breakfast was great, took a little while for the hot food but we knew it was fresh.

Had dinner on the Monday night we arrived, requested pie of the week which I was advised was steak and ale. It looked great when it arrived but when the pie was cut into there was mainly mushroom and one bit of meat. I don't like mushroom so this was left on the plate. When the waiter came to collect the plates I advised the pie was not what was advertised. He passed feedback to kitchen and was only offered a dessert, which I kindly declined. There was no mention of anything else or a reduction in the bill.

The Inn is beautifully decorated - obviously very recently. Breakfast was well organised and very good. The room and all areas of the hotel were very clean and tidy. Parking was excellent and access was also good with a lift to upper floors. There were lots of lovely touches like good bathroom products, biscuits by the teamaking equipment and a fan left for hot humid nights. There is also a smart TV in the room so we were able to watch Netflix or Prime using our own accounts. The bed was very comfortable.

The room was well laid out although a second chair would have been nice. There was also no real space for our suitcase that did not partially block access to the bed or bathroom. It is not uncommon in the UK but it would have been nice to have a small fridge.

The Hotel is relatively new - having been the Old Police Station but very carefully and tastefully converted into an exciting new Hotel of a very high and a friendly welcoming standard with good quality and verylcoming management and staff that nothing is too much a bother attitude amongst them - it is very much good value for money type of establishment, good breakfast selection, etc. with no set place settings. This is a HIGH standard hotel and setting the standards that others in Northallerton Area should also be trying to achieve as others have missed out on the 5 STAR Treatment.and are well down the star ratings mainly through complacency, tired management and wrong imaging, and Staff attitudes.

PERSONALLY NOTHING to dislike - WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE TRAVELLING TO THE AREA.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Its on the high streer but further enough away from the busier shopping area so its more peaceful. The building exterior is lovely and the interior bar and dining areas are stylish and very comfortable. Our bedroom was so comfortable and again stylish. Every area in this hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff are warm friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very good. You serve yourself with coffee tea orange juice toast etc and use waiter service for a wide choice of breakfast options. We had already booked to dine out before arriving at the hotel. Next time we will definitely use the hotel restaurant areas. Northallerton is a great base for touring North Yorkshire eg Middleham Leyburn Bedale.

Free upgrade to a family room. Very large suite facing the road, but not too loud for comfort, even though it was above the main bar. Everything was spotlessly clean. Staff were very helpful and happy to see us. King size bed was very comfortable. Tea and Coffee available in room, with top-ups if required. Free drink if you don’t need housekeeping while you stay, which is unusual. Menu was small, but the Rib eye steaks were wonderful, served with home-made sauces. Breakfast included everything you could want, plus luxury items such as Egg Florentine and Egg Royale, for no extra charge. Dogs allowed for a small charge, and doggy treats and doggy beer are available at the bar. Plenty of free parking, and it is opposite a bus terminus, church (with bells and an hourly peal), and the road has shops, bars, restaurants and cafes aplenty. The inn is also quite new, being the former police station apparently.

There was nothing to dislike, except, perhaps, that the side door directs you to the front door, which is quite unnecessary, as we found out. Luckily we always book in before getting our baggage…

It is a beautiful hotel, the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Every member of staff we spoke to enquired as to where we were from and our plans whilst there which started up a conversation and helped us decide what to do with our free time whilst there. We had a basic room but was really spacious and clean the tea and coffee facilities were ideallic for the early morning rise. The wardrobe had sufficient hanging space too so our outfits weren't creased although there was an iron and ironing board just in case. You asked about the lighting well you aren't without in this place you have your main lights, tall floor light 2 bedside lamps and a desk lamp if you switched the lot on it would be like "Blackpool illuminations" haha! If you forget your plug for your charger that's great as these rooms are equipped with plug sockets which have USB ports (it's like they have thought of everything) Wide range of food for breakfast lunch and dinner. The bar is also not without either.

I am struggling with this one the only thing we found we didn't like was no fault of the hotel it was the fayre outside the hotel. Apparently its a May Bank Holiday thing but it went on until very late in the night and even though we weren't on the front of the property it was loud but thankfully we were tired and managed to sleep.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice restaurant bar.

We both had accessible rooms with wet rooms. The wet room floors are not laid properly, and both flood from the shower area into the rest of the bathroom. Neither of the fans worked in our bathrooms. I had to cover the floor in room 8 to be able to use the bathroom after the shower. The restaurant was not great for anyone with allergies. I have gluten, dairy, and soya allergies and am vegetarian. My only choice for breakfast was gluten free bread with eggs, but they had no spread that was soya and dairy free. Evening meal option was a Beyond Vegan burger but with no roll as a gluten free roll was not available. Also, there was nothing on the menus regarding allergies so you have to ask every time.
