Lucena Hotel

You get what you pay for. The place is a little dated and needs some tlc. But it’s clean and warm and inviting. The people who run it are welcoming and lovely. There is a bar with pool table in the property. Buffet breakfast has everything you’d want, full cooked English, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, juice, tea&coffee and toasters for making your own toast with selections of breads and jam/butters. Our room had a little sea view albeit a little sliver. It was still lovely to look out.

Could do with some updating. The shower was a step up and very slippery to get out.

Lovely hotel comfortable and good breakfast. I definitely would stay again as my stay has been twice within a week. I dont want to have my stays being stopped due to the problem I had.

Getting woken up at 3am by someone banging on the rooms door for about 20 minutes then when I spoke to the staff about it there wasn't a apology but said that im lucky im not her because she was in the room next to footballers who apparently were the ones that did it. It clearly states between 10pm and 7am everyone is to be quiet although there was loud music past 12 coming from downstairs and this person rudley interrupting someone's sleep and put fear into me thinking they were going to break in especially as the door handle was down when we went to it this morning.

That the staff was really friendly, that we could come and go has we pleased, we weren't hounded left to do what we wanted and that they were there should we need any help.being a smoker I thought would be tricky me being a smoker has a like to have a fag early hours if I struggle to sleep but I was able to do that too.

Only thing was we went with some friends of ours and when booking we asked for the rooms to be close to each other ours was not too bad has we only had 1 flight of stairs but our friends was on top floor and about 4 flights of stairs me being asthmatic struggled with 4 flights to go up to them.

It was super laid back and friendly. Clean n great price. Charlton met us at the door when we arrived- easy to book in and to order breakie for the morning. Room was clean and the bed was comfy. The breakie was decent help- yourself and they kept coming in with fresh eggs etc. Nobody howded you and it was nice just to be left to it. The guy (sorry don't know his name) said goodbye and thanked us when we were leaving. Just overall hassle free and friendly folk. Thank you 🤟😊. We'd stay again 😊

The shower haha coz I'm being picky but it was super tiny.

I really liked the owners, who seemed quite friendly and welcoming. The husband was impeccable, he made us feel comfortable, chatted with the children, and allowed them to play and enjoy the facilities freely. The hotel offers a family-friendly accommodation, with loads of free entertainment options, including a variety of games for all age groups - which is an amazing feature. Great location, easy to find and close to the beach. Open bar with affordable prices and host always available to help and assist guests at all times.

When we arrived the owner was fantastic very welcoming and helpful. We where in the family room which was clean and spacious. The breakfast was a buffet style and also had cereal for the kids , the cooked breakfast was delicious, my family and I really enjoyed it! Bar was good value and has a pool table also with a couple of fruit machines. The bar area is family friendly as it has a corner with toys for kids. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to everybody. One more thing... we had the owners West Ham supporting brother helping out running the hotel and he was absolutely brilliant, he couldn't do enough for us and always had a smile on his face. Fantastic guy ;-)

Honestly, nothing! Everything was fantastic! Beds were comfy, plenty tea bags and coffee in the room

We received a really warm welcome. The hotel was nice and comfortable and extremely reasonably priced. We found parking across the road for about £15 for 24 hours. The rooms were clean, there was a towel each, miniture toiletries and sufficient tea and coffee facilities. We did not use it, but there was WiFi available. We really liked the location, it was close to the main road and quite central for our requirements.

Not a massive problem, but the TV remote didn't work properly, this probably would of been rectified that night should we have requested it, but it was late when we realised so didn't feel it was worth it. We were slightly disturbed by other guests being loud, but this is not the fault of the hotel. The hotel was generally cheap and cheerful, some TLC is needed, but nothing that would prevent us visiting again.

This hotel was perfect!! From the moment we arrived til the moment we left we enjoyed every second. We was greeted on arrival by such a lovely family that was friendly and welcoming and put us at ease. It's a stone's throw away from the beach, close to shops and blackpools other delights. Breakfast was delicious and very fairly priced, highly recommend! Our room was a good size, clean, warm and I was so surprised at how comfortable the bed was, never had such a good night's sleep away from home!

The only downfall I could think of was the stairs, common problem in many establishments and is not such a big issue.

Had a lovely stay very friendly staff rooms nice and clean beds comfortable tea and coffee facilities in bedroom and and in breakfast room all day long which was nice usually i stayed at other b and b and you don't get this option breakfast fully English was lovely and other options was available has well , 3 minutes walk from the beach we had a lovely stay thank you will definitely stop here gain when we stop in Blackpool

The owners and staff where lovely and so friendly, Rooms clean and surprised how big there where we had 2 family rooms plenty of space, The buffet breakfast is a bargain and nice, i got a space for the car on the street the hotel was on with no issues and free I'd advise once you find a space not to move your vehicle as the street was full by the afternoon

They could do with painting the outside as the first view of the hotel is important as the inside
