The Mercury, Blackpool - over 21's only0

firstly, Gary was a great host who was dealing with a vegetarian and a coeliac couple of Northern Soulies! He went out of his way to ensure that we both had hearty cooked breakfasts and he even played Northern soul whilst we ate! Could happily have spent a lot longer chatting, he was a genuinely lovely host! Great room, lots of character (Paris) they’re all themed. See you again soon Gary!

Every hotel nowadays puts lots of cushions on the bed. I’ve never understood that! They just take up space! Very small gripe !

Happy and welcoming hosts, fresh breakfast daily, great location and fantastic decor and themes throughout the hotel. My room was fresh, comfortable, really big and just lovely. There was a record ‘chill’ room just off my bedroom and records you can play. It really did end the evenings off with a smile on my face. I had a fantastic weekend and a pleasurable stay at Mercury Hotel and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you Gary and Jo, see you again!

We liked everything about the Mercury Hotel, the Hosts Jo & Gary were very nice and helpful regards whats on in the town, had time to speak with you as well, the breakfasts were exceptional, full English was super, your plate consisted of bacon eggs tomatoes sausages mushrooms beans hash browns, all cooked as we liked it, there were cereals juices etc but we just had coffee and tea as we would not have had room for any cereals LOL, rooms and all Hotel was warm and comfy, well decorated and themed throughout with rock pop artists on the walls,, ideal location, 50 yards from the promenade with all the attractions close and within walking distance, also on the sunny side of the street so spent some time sitting at the front of Hotel people watching. Also it was so peaceful with no kids or stag or hens parties.

There was nothing to dislike about the Hotel Mercury.

Booked very last minute for a weekend away with my partner and his sister. I was impressed with the reviews and totally agree with how lovely and inviting Gary And Jo was. From the moment arriving to leaving we were made welcome and the rooms (ours the double London theme) and the single (Las Vegas theme) had everything you could want and more. The breakfast was fab, too big for me on both mornings so has poached egg on toast the second day...poached egg was perfect Jo 😋. Will definitely recommend and will return ourselves. Keep it up Gary and Jo....and Henry (the dog) you made our weekend a fabulous one. Thank You. Louise, Matt, and Katherine.

The room was decked out 60s style. The beatles Caven was cool. The owners are good to talk to. They have so many interesting stories to tell. Both played in bands so alot of music stories. Very friendly dogs. The location is 30seonds from the main Rd by the beach. Plenty of hangers for your clothes. The owners kept in contact while I was on my way which took the pressure of trying to get there before 19.00. Went to the Comady club but would of happily stayed with the them and kept chatting.

Breakfast was only a 30min window and was just too early for us so never got to try their cooking. The bed was ok just a little too soft for us. That's more our preference than a issue they can change.

The breakfast was exceptionally good - before I retired I stayed in many corporate hotels - the breakfast here beat them all hands down! And - black pudding too! Loved the rock/pop music theme - how cool to put on a proper vinyl record for the music background. Amazing friendliness and warmth of the hosts and Henry the Rhodesian Ridgeback - we’ll be back for sure!

There was nothing that could have been better - full marks for The Mercury.

It was Centrally located & the host’s ( Gary & Jo ) we’re lovely, very friendly & very helpful. I must say the breakfast was amazing ( especially as I’m gluten free ). Our room was great, loved all the themes inside the room & property. We will definitely be coming back to stay again x

Great hosts, who made us feel extremely welcome, along with a good choice of breakfast options. Excellent central location and would definitely recommend.

Only ,very small, gripe would be the sink outside of the toilet, but this didn't spoil what was a great weekend.

Everything was wonderful, we were upset when we left the hotel. Garry and Jo were very kind and helpful during all periods of staying. Hotels rooms have fantastic designs and the breakfast was delicious.
