There is parking included, which is good and felt safe to leave my car there. They showed me to my room and helped with my bags. The room was lovely, lots of nice touches - tea, coffee, a kettle, biscuits and a shared fridge in the communal area for milk and water to use. My bathroom had clearly recently been refurbished and was clean, modern and lovely. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. I forgot my charger and one of the staff let me borrow a plug for the duration of my stay. The food was really good, very tasty and well priced.

There wasn't anything I disliked. The rooms aren't "sound proof" so you could hear noise from other guests in the hallway, but that can't be helped and is the case in most places.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming and made me, my mum and step-dad feel almost like we were part of the family! The breakfasts were delicious and set us up for the day. The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful and accommodated our wishes for breakfasts. The evening meals were delicious too, especially the specials. The atmosphere was lively in the dining room on an evening. The rooms were comfortable, clean, light and airy with a good selection of teas and coffees. The beds were comfortable too. The location was great for exploring Dartmoor and the locale. There is ample car parking space too and the site was perfect, in the town, near the local park and River Bovey and a short walk into the shopping area of Bovey Tracey. I can highly recommend a stay at The Dolphin Hotel.

Absolutely amazing staff especially with my messaging before the stay with enquiries, as myself and my parents were arriving on the day of a wedding we were attending. The staff even managed to get our rooms cleaned early so we could quickly freshen up and have room access before setting off for the wedding. The breakfast the next day was delicious! Super hot and super tasty we loved it!

Out of anyones control - as it was in a heatwave bit the rooms felt a little stuffy - but it is an old building and hot - would like to add a Thankyou for the fan in the room, really grateful- only other thing that may be handy is to pop a little saucer etc to put the teaspoon on for tea, I didn’t want to stain the table - but these are such minor things, had a lovely stay!

The hotel was very clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was a good size and the beds very comfortable. Perfect for the budget stay and would recommend to anybody who wants to stay in the area

More cooked options for breakfast. We knew before arrival we had twin beds but could not push together to make a double as headboards did not move, but honestly just picking straws

Lovely location in quaint little village. Friendly and warm staff throughout our stay. Clean and spacious room. Well stocked with tolitries and wide range of teas. Central fridge well stocked with water and milk for all rooms is a great idea. Shower walk in and powerful. Ate in the restaurant in the evening and it got busy quick, food was nice. Lovely courtyard area to sit out in. Breakfast was amazing, nice portions and cooked well. Only gripe is having to ask for coffee refills, a cafetiere would be a good investment for the breakfast table. We would stay again.

The staff were all very welcoming and friendly.The room itself was very clean and tidy with some nice touches .I’m quite a light sleeper but the bed was so comfortable I slept like a log.Luckily I set the alarm or we would’ve missed the lovely breakfast which was very tasty and plentiful.The shower was nice and hot.There was plenty of parking as well.I would definitely recommend the Dolphin Inn and would stay here again without question

Very nice breakfast, location was good, staff very friendly and helpful, very nice room with large bathroom en suite.

Room was at the front where there is a busy road so pretty noisy, early morning till late night. Could only get very limited channels on the television the rest had bad interference, which is a bit annoying at this time of year when the days are short and you spend more time in your room. Could do with a bit more seating in the room.

Fantastic breakfast (and super Sunday Xmas roast lunch too!) - lots of it, piping hot and good quality. Room 6 was lovely - nice and bright, huge bathroom, bonus having the balcony too. Fresh milk and water in the fridge by the room was a nice touch too. Menu looked nice too, and if the food is as good/plentiful as Breakfast and Sunday lunch it would be excellent value for money! Nice big car park too.

Coffee was a bit weak but that's probably just my personal preference.

Warm, bright, comfortable, sizeable room. Excellent, modern shower. Very good breakfast. Good parking facility. It was really quiet from 10.30 which is very considerate to start a good night’s sleep.

The double mattress tended to slope towards the middle. For two people a king-sized duvet would have been more comfortable. A second chair would have been useful to find in a double room.

The location was perfect. only two miles from where I was working. I was welcomed by Tom who made me feel welcome and he ensured I was looked after. The welcome at breakfast time was very friendly and the poached eggs were perfect! Lovely bathroom.

It would have been nice to have had the milk for tea and coffee in the bedroom. There was no information about hotel facilities in the room, for example WiFi Code and menu. All revealed in the bar and the lovely staff were able to provide all info when downstairs.
