WOW WOW WOW From the second me and my sister parked the car to the second we left we were made to feel like family, nothing was too much trouble for the lovely hosts Helga and Dennys. The room was totally amazing clean and had absolutely everything you could ask for and much much more. we had gorgeous cupcakes and chocolates on the bed waiting for us. The room was cleaned and replenished daily, we had dressing gowns and slippers, a box with nail clippers, ear buds, make up remover pads, shoe cleaner, lint remover the list goes on and on pure perfection and attention to detail shown by this amazing couple. and the breakfast choice and quality was again WOW WOW WOW so much choice and the best quality this was so obvious. The location is very good indeed short walk to the town and beach, free parking added bonus. I could go on and on about the amazing accommodation but above all the hosts. Thank you for having me and my sister stay in your beautiful home and we wish you nothing but success for your future, hope to see you soon.

Absolutely nothing to put here everything was WOW

The attention to detail was superb. From nail clippers to toothbrush and paste, if you'd forgotten something I'm sure it would've been in the room! Not only lovely white fluffy towels to use but also white towelling robes and slippers.... amazing!! We had a connecting room with our daughter which was identical with own ensuites and double beds, tvs, mini fridge and selection of dvds to watch if you wanted. Could not fault anything and breakfast was fantastic the selection was extensive. Would happily stay again very welcoming hosts doing an amazing job thank you

From the time I arrived, I was greeted at the door by Deneys by my name and made to feel welcome. I also met his charming wife Helga who also welcomed me to their Guest House and wished me a pleasant stay. I was shown to my room which was a complete eye-opener far beyond my expectations, the attention to detail in everything was superb. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for this fantastic couple and I was made to feel more than welcome throughout my short stay with them. The choice of breakfast was excellent and should suit most people's taste, a really freshly cooked and tasty breakfast. I would recommend staying at this Guest house to anyone without hesitation I will personally be returning here on my next visit to Torquay.Fantastic location within easy walking distance to both town and the seafront. Staying here felt like home from home and I look forward to my next visit.

Exceeded my expectations, cannot find fault with anything.

the breakfast was exceptional freshly cooked to order with plenty of extras.the room was very spacious with every thing you need a mini fridge in the room with water and milk for you morning brew was a nice extra we didn't expect .there were bath robes and slippers for you when you shower very nice .the owners have just taken over and they can't do enough for you as when I booked it I told them it was my wife's birthday upon arrival we were greeted with a bunch of flowers .we will be going back I can highly recommend you go .it is about a 10/15 minute walk to the sea front with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from but after eating the breakfast you will not be hungry :)

From arriving the friendliness from Karen was great. On entering the room we were blown away. Everything you could want and more. Spotlessly clean and the drinks and scone delivered to the room was fabulous. The robes and slippers are a lovely touch. Breakfast was easy to order and what a choice! It was served by Martin with friendly conversation and was delicious. I have to say the omelette nearly defeated me but was too delicious to leave. Be prepared, Karen is a self confessed feeder :) Food was freshly cooked as you arrived for your slot booked for social distancing. Would recommend this B and B to anyone.

Helga and Deneys were outstanding hosts from the moment we arrived until we left. They went over and above our expectations and nothing was too much trouble. During our stay my husband unfortunately was taken into hospital. Deneys and Helga were extremely supportive and even drove me to the hospital for visiting. The rooms were very well equipped with everything needed and more. The food was excellent, lovely breakfast and well presented. We would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation.

The breakfast was great, I like the way you had plenty to choose from, also the room was cleaned every day and the extras in the room were replenished frequently, this was appreciated, by this I mean the selection of drinks, water and biscuits.

To be honest nothing could of been as the little things that were wrong were rectified at once for instance there was a coat hook what was loose and it was put on tighter while I was staying there.

Just arrived home after a 3 night stay at Arran Lodge. My son and I found our room very well equipped with some beautiful touches including a basket in the bathroom with all products you may have left at home! Milk and bottled water for us in a fridge which is always nice & cakes!! Our hosts were wonderful and couldn’t have done more for us during our stay.

The only fault I found was the single beds were narrow and quite firm.

Excellent selection, beautifully prepared and served in a well spaced out dining room. No waiting around as you were able to select timing of breakfast serving and pre ordering the night before using an online form or a paper option meant that you got exactly what you wanted. Small fridge in room which was stocked with small bottle of fresh milk and complimentary small bottles of water.

Twin beds a little bit hard which personally for me meant broken nights sleep and I woke up every morning with an aching lower back. However they did not seem to bother my husband. Stairs a bit steep so if you have mobility issues make sure that you opt for the one ground floor room if it’s available. Three parking spaces outside front of guest house but if these were used then getting reversing out on to the main road needed extreme caution.

Excellent hosts, both Karen and Martin were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. After a long journey we were offered refreshments, tea and freshly made scones with jam and clotted cream. Breakfast was outstanding, high quality produce and beautifully cooked by Karen and Martin was an attentive host. Accommodation was clean and tidy, plenty of choice on the tea/coffee tray and fresh milk and bottled water in the mini fridge.

There is parking available but can be a bit tricky to park as the road can be busy. Although this is no fault of the owners and didnt affect our stay in any way.
