Room was big enough for 2 adults and one child, delicious breakfast, nice and lovely staff, good location

Room windows were facing the road, traffic was quite noisy till late and started at 5-6am.Due to temperature in a room being very warm, we had to keep our windows open so noise from outside wake us up quite early in a morning. Pillows were slightly too hard so we had slightly uncomfortable sleep. Also shower hose was secure/attached to the shower pole and it was quite high so my 8 years daughter wasn't able to shower herself independently and she needed my assistance.

What a lucky find on booking.com. Brett was an excellent host. The hotel was in a good location, a 15 min stroll down to the seafront and although on a busy road no traffic noise but ideally placed for getting out and about. If you prefer not to drive there’s a bus stop outside making it easy to get to Paignton, Brixham etc and Torre station just a little further up the road. What a bonus the breakfast was, good choice of food freshly served. Would have no hesitation in recommending

Nothing to dislike

Always greeted with a smile and a "welcome back". Breakfast was changed this year a little bit it is now mainly self service, except for the Full English, but you can have as much as you like and there is a good variety to suit most tastes. We also like the position as there are bus stops within 200 yards which take you either way. The girls are very friendly and always have a smile.

Very freindly host room was really nice on front road but not noisy really nice bathroom very clean and tidy host very accommodating as gave throw for bed in case our dog got on bed wonderful breakfast nice bright dining room good parking 10 minute walk to good pub with nice food

No green space nearby to let our dog of for a run quite a walk to town centre and beach front

Friendliness of the owners, who were welcoming from day one. Hearty cooked breakfast was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble. Location was good. It was further than I thought to walk to the beach, but still fairly accessible within ten minutes of walking. There were plenty of leaflets of places to visit available. All in all, it felt like home from home. I would definitely recommend Newton House for your next place to stay.

the staff were very friendly and polite couldn’t do enough for their guests, even offered to cook a vegetarian breakfast for 1 of the guests without being asked, the rooms are very clean and tidy and the bathrooms are big. the breakfast in the mornings a great also. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to stay in Torquay. we will definitely be returning. thank you it’s been a pleasure

Location, Cleanliness, Owner and Breakfast Guest house is maintained by a private owner and Owner himself takes care of everything. Wifi was very good. This guest house has got a big Parking place. Guest house is in walkable distance from Sea Front. Very well maintained guest house and had a classic feel over there. Enjoyed our stay there with family. Perfect guest house specially for a family. Room size was very big compare to price.

Warm welcome on arrival, property very clean and well decorated. Room fresh and clean, very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices, we opted for full English but free too help ourselves to fresh fruit and various cereals also. Really nice family run B&b.

The owner was an excellent host very friendly and welcoming. It was very clean and well decorated and the breakfast was fresh and very tasty offering vegetarian choice. Able to park my car free of charge. Bus stop was literally yards from accommodation.

My only very mild criticism was that the pillow was hard and lumpy.
