We stopped here at the last moment after traveling for 24+ hours from the US. They were able to accommodate us on short notice and let us check in early - we slept 16 hours in a very comfy bed and woke up almost jet lag free the next morning to a delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend the pizza for dinner! It was a perfect start to our honeymoon, and we can't wait to come back when we move to Wales in a couple years.

Nothing - we had a lovely time and wouldn't have changed anything!

We had the greatest time at the Griffin Llyswen. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay, from the amazing scenery to the town of Brecon itself. We looked forward to going back to our haven at the Griffin at the end of the day. The restaurant was excellent, the pub was clean and the staff were excellent. We will be going back there again in the future, of that there is no doubt.

The only thing that we didn't like was that our stay wasn't long enough!

Nice room, lovely ground floor. Was perfect location for our stay. Lovely woman welcomed us and coped admirably when short staffed with efficiency and good humour- sorry, didn’t get her name. Dinner was fab. Recommend the roast belly pork and the butty Bach

Nothing really. If I was being picky, the car park was a bit puddly and slightly muddy.

Very good Continental breakfast, really good coffee. Although at a major road junction, tyraffic was barely noticeable. Walked to see the churchyard, and the Wye bridge, obviously a thriving area. Percy was very interesting and the lady who did the breakfast. good Pub grub.

Nothing, the comment on cleanliness was that there was a blister pack of 2 pllls on the floor (VERY SMALL !!)

Alternative choice suggested by booking.com after reservation with another hotel was cancelled due to unexpected closure (covid?). Nice location for on night stay and day out exporing the local area.

one of the two rooms was a small double - but the hotel contacted us in advance to explain and we accepted this in advance - booking.com had shown two full size doubles. not a problem for us, it was a last minute booking as our booking at another hotel had fallen through and these are difficult times for hospitality. Appreciated the hotel being pro-active flagging this up to us in advance.

What a great place to stay! Close enough to the park (15 minute drive) but far enough away for peace and quiet. The entire staff did an incredible job to ensure we enjoyed our visit, even welcomed our dog with open arms. We were able to sit outside on the back hill for cocktails and a lovely view, then go downstairs for dinners that never disappointed. The food was so good we didn’t even bother going anywhere else during our stay. Even the continental breakfast was more than we expected, with the nicest girl greeting us with a big smile each day. We can’t recommend this place enough! We'll definitely be back!

I have been to the Griffin many times with my parents when I was younger. It was lovely to come back after so many years and find it still is lovely pub with great food. The room was very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful.

Wifi signal was a bit patchy.

staff were lovely. breakfast was lovely, I had the eggs Benedict. room was simple, nice, but quite dusty in some areas. bathroom was large.

seemed very overpriced. paid about £135 for one night. that was with the extra charge for breakfast and a dog charge of £25. Breakfast was good value though, great quality. room itself felt overpriced though

Comfortable accommodation, friendly staff, though seemed under pressure at times, though not to interfere with our experience. A pre-booking for 7.30 evening meals but no effective response. when it arrived food was good and helpings generous.
