1st room no15 wasn’t nice at all smelt damp n tired, asked to be moved and got No17 luvly room. All staff were luvly, friendly, professional, always smiling. Food was exceptional (we’re both chefs) . Henry my guide dog luved the sausages. Luvly grounds . Could do with a lounge area comfy seating where you can relax eat and have a drink, I couldn’t find one. Luvly restaurant and conservatory over looking a large lawn and boundary hedges

Separate seating are with comfy sofas to relax , eat and have a drink , Couldn’t find a bin outside to put my dogs poop in . Room could do with a lick of paint and tidy up carpet/Lino edging. Trip hazard going into bathroom

The room was spacious, we did book a superior double and lived up to its expectations. Food was amazing, a must have if you stay here, book a table or else you have to eat in the bar area, even though the menu is the same, the ambience isnt. The facilties were fantastic, again make sure you book a time slot to use the pool etc, we didn't manage the gym, ran out of time, next time maybe. My girlfriend had a massage and said it was really good and relaxing.

The bed, albeit a massive king-size bed, it had a massive dent in it where the springs had gone or something, and was so uncomfortable I woke up with an aching back. When I reported on checking out, the staffs attitude was if no one has reported it before we don't know, I said surely the housekeeping have noticed it and find it hard to believe no one else has reported it. I showed the lady photos of the mattress and she wasn't interested and fobbed me off with, that it will be reported and changed, I hope it is done by the next time we visit.

was a really lovely place for a getaway holiday, the scenic views around the lodge were beautiful and had reservoirs either side (30-40 minute walks) our room was so spacious and lovely, we booked a twin room but you would’ve never thought that for the size, two single beds, a sofa with pull out bed, coffee table, desk and a table and chairs fitted comfortably in the bedroom and we also had a bath with a handheld shower head in the bathroom. there were a few bits missed when they were getting our room ready e.g. food packets from previous residents but things get missed and it was easy enough for us to put it in the bin the pool area was lovely and so relaxing, not too crowded and they supply towels and locker keys on request the food was delicious!! breakfast is complementary with a buffet of continental and cereals etc and your choice of hot breakfast (we went for the full Welsh breakfast). evening meals were even better although a bit expensive but so worth it, especially the steak and chicken. we didn’t realise you had to reserve tables in the restaurant before your trip so we ate in the pub area which is more or less the same menu anyway

there were a few maintenance issues at the property, the jacuzzi and steam room were out of order which was a bit upsetting as we weren’t told before hand and the jacuzzi was a main factor in choosing this property. we also didn’t realise that spa treatments cost extra and weren’t included alongside the pool and gym we were a non driving couple so was difficult to get to places without a car, the waterfalls pictured in the properties pictures were a 40 minute drive away so wasn’t accessible to us which again, was upsetting

Room was nice , worked for my son and I with twin beds . Room and ensuite were both spacious so it worked well. We were above bar but that was quiet enough by 11ish so didn't bother us. Breakfast was excellent and we really enjoyed the spa facilities after riding in BPW for which this was handy to stay at. Felt a bit isolated so had to drive to see friends in abergavenny and some decor was tired . Our room was a bit hot which from note on windows about flies could be an issue in the summer but I would stay again. Bike store was safe if a little tight and awkward to get bikes out of.

Decor could do with update , little peel of paper, shower head in bath was in need of replacement, steam room was not very steamy/hot . If bike racks were rethought or orientated differently this would have been easier.

Beautiful setting.all staff very friendly and helpful.food excellent good choice at breakfast. Evening meals outstanding main courses.executive room had comfortable seating and room to relax

Disappointed to be contacted 2 days before departure to be told would no longer get robes and slippers and that no towels would be provided for use in pool.this meant we had damp beach towels hanging in our rooms all stay which did not dry between daily swims.also notice in reception to say rooms would only be serviced if we asked due to staffing.

Location, spacious room, good size bathroom with good walk in shower , comfy bed. Nice breakfast room. Goos Wi-Fi and parking.

No view, the decor was ‘tired’ as was the furniture and carpets. Rips in the leather settee and stains in the carpet. Nobody’s fault, but advised not to open windows because of possible midges, due to river location- I absolutely HAVE to have a window open at night! Wish there had been a prepared fruit salad at breakfast rather than pieces of fruit, we don’t eat cooked breakfast. The staff were professional, felt like they were doing their job, rather than genuinely welcoming.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was superb, spa and swimming pool were excellent. Location was incredible with beautiful walks all around, whilst being handy to Brecon and Penderyn. Restaurant food was good, although slightly expensive.

Cleanliness in bathroom could of been better, shower curtain had signs of mould and grout in between shower tiles were blackened with mould. "River view" wasn't exactly as described, more carpark and bushes in front of river view. Cocktails in the bar were straight from a carton.

The staff was amazing (from reception to restaurant), by far the best we met in the UK, super friendly and quick to respond, thanks! The room was big, comfortable and fully furnished, and it was nice to use the quiet jacuzzi after a day of hiking! And they have one EV charging point too!

The beds were comfortable but a bit short. Breakfast quality was ok but not the best, same for the restaurant (for the price at least but we appreciate the location and convenience). Responding to some other comments: the pool is heated but not that warm, same for the sauna being not that hot (but both are relative). It was still nice and quiet. And yes, it's not a modern place but everything was in good order and clean so it was good for us

Location is top if you’re visiting the Brecon Beacons. The pub is great, outdoor seating was nicely in the sun and the food is amazing! If you factor in the breakfast being included and the pool / sauna facilities and free parking, it’s great value

The facilities are ‘tired’. The jacuzzi didn’t work and was missing tiles, the steam room was out of order and there’s a lot of rust in shower poles and other metal items in rooms. BUT, this isnt a massive turn off, it’s still clean and the staff seemed really nice, which does make up for some of these smaller issues

Big spacious room considering it was just standard. Very comfy bed. Lovely helpful staff. really enjoyed being able to use the pool in the evening. great location for many walks. definitely want to book again in the summer to do some more of the walks when the weather is warmer.

felt awkward having to walk through the bar and the restaurant to get to our room and leave the hotel. Breakfast was not good I didn’t think you could make a bad cooked breakfast but it was, bacon super thick and chewy, sausage tasted funny wouldn’t recommend especially for price it was not worth it.
