Amazing entry from the car park, lovely little walkway. Lovely greeting upon arrival from the owners who added lots of personal touches. Such a quirky place with lots of hidden gems throughout the building. Bedroom was spacious, beautifully designed and bathroom lovely and fresh. Lovely extras such as blankets to keep warm if it was cold, luckily the heating kept us snuggly. Powerful hot shower both lastnight and this morning. Breakfast was delicious and made exactly as we ordered 😋 Carpark easy to find just around the back of the building. Good sized spaces, as a new driver i needed this. Definitely will be returning

Quirky and interesting building in the centre of a lovely little town. Close to shops, restaurants and pubs. We were on a cycling tour and the owners provided us with a locked cycle store in the car park - with power so that one of our guys could charge his electric bike. The breakfast was lovely - fresh fruit, yoghurt and home made granola for me was just right. My bed was one of the most comfortable ever :)

We were here for a family wedding, The Owls was recommended. What can I say. In a few words. Jo and Ian were the best hosts, so warm and welcoming. The best breakfast I have had in ages. We will be back next year, or maybe earlier. Best place we've stayed in years. Thank you for the wonderful welcome.

Lovely home cooked breakfast with lots of choice. The room was large and warm and bearing in mind it was on the main street it was very quiet due to the triple glazing. Everything was clean and tidy and the parking at the rear was great.

This is an old building and the floors are not always level and there is no lift but this all helps towards the quaint feeling of the building.

The hosts were truly welcoming and actually called us to make sure that we were coming as we'd been delayed on our journey down from North Wales. The property itself is old but situated in heart of the village with some stunning views just 5 mins away. The breakfast choice was extensive and the hosts made sure we had everything that we needed. The hosts also guided us re attractions around Built Wells and we are thoroughly pleased to have acted upon their recommendation to visit Elan Valley. Overall a great experience!

Can't really think of anything that I didn't like about this stay. It could be better priced but I suppose our booking was last minute so the prices would've been high

The Owls is quirky, on lots of different levels, we love quirky. The building is old, but well maintained, very clean and manages to retain some homeliness. The front door is straight on to the High Street, with shops, pubs and restaurants a few steps away. Our room was at the rear, very quiet and we had a great night’s sleep. The hosts are great and have a natural ability to interact with guests as much as required or wanted. The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our evening in Builth Wells and our night in The Owls, so much so that we intend to visit again. We highly recommend The Owls.

There is nothing we did not like, so there is no need to change a thing. The hosts at The Owls have got it spot on.

As we were staying after a family get together in town, a later check out would have helped. In future I would maybe ask for one and pay a bit extra if need be

I booked my room with literally 10 minutes notice as I'd been let down by another hotel. Hosts were fabulous, got me settled in quickly and brought me an extra heater as the weather was really cold. Vegetarian cooked breakfast was lovely. Room was at the front so I expected it to be noisy but I couldn't hear a thing.

A very comfortable beautiful old cottage, the rooms are spotless, and the breakfast excellent, the room was a double and had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The situation of the cottage is perfect to tour around the beautiful surrounding area, and there are several places to eat locally.

The room was a little on the small side, but had everything you need, and other than that it was a pleasant stay.

the beverages weren't replenished during my 2 day stay - but I'm sure I could have had some if I'd have asked for no good for anyone with stair issues
