We had not used this hotel chain before and selected The Bower Inn based on the information provided on Bookings.com. We were not disappointed, From the moment we arrived we found the staff welcoming and efficient. The room was exactly as described. The location of the hotel made it an excellent base for exploring the the area, we stayed four nights. The breakfast menu was varied as was the evening menu, service was excellent. Would certainly use again if in the area.

The hotel was very pleasant, we stayed for two nights with our dog. The room had everything we needed and was clean. The bathroom looked to have been newly refurbished. The breakfast was very good, and a huge choice on the menu. Also a complimentary sausage for our dog ! We had a traditional Sunday lunch in the bar, which again was delicious. There was also a live band playing on Sunday afternoon. All in all a very enjoyable place to stay.

Location was great for travelling around by car. But was just on the outskirts of Bridgewater, and would have been approx half an hour on foot.

we stayed for 4 nights in room 15, absolutely lovely room, walking shower bath in the front room , and I saw a TV and a nice little warm fire like your own front room just nice to chill out after a busy day, every where absolutely spotless, the staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble all the staff and management were fantastic, 10 out of 10 from us , outside seating, plenty of free parking , food was delicious !!! definitely going back. This hotel is one of my big time favourite ❤️ you had everything you needed in your room iron & board, hairdryer, lots of different (nice) toiletries , and lovely short bread cookies . Don’t hesitate not going. It is absolutely lovely and it’s a bonus to get really really nice staff ! very well done everyone x

just one little thing , would of liked a bigger table so kettle can be with refreshments instead of on the floor

We loved the view from our window over a field of cows and sheep, and enjoyed a very peaceful nights sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful.Great quality tea and coffee was provided. Lovely touch of homemade shortbread pot to accompany this. The staff were v flexible even when we arrived much later than our table booking time for the evening meal. There was a good range of delicious food. We liked the retention in the room of a bible placed by the Gideons. We loved the very attractive and well maintained front gardens brimming with outstanding quality flowers in a range of complimentary colour palettes. Currently irises, allium and geraniums feature. Location just off the motorway v convenient for onward travel to the SW of England. Superb breakfasts!

Minor down sides only which are down to personal taste. Mattress v slightly too firm. Rather elaborate bed head decoration which made it look like we were in a bridal suite!

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Bower Hotel for the nights of 26/27 March 2023. Everything, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, was perfect. Express check-in/check-out was brilliant. Our Comfy room was spotless. The bed was comfy and we slept well after a 200 mile journey. The quality of the linen is top class, All the staff were brilliant. We stayed for dinner on both nights. everything is cooked to order. Although all the staff were excellent, of outstanding note was the service we received from our young waiter, (I believe his name is Tyler), on the night of 27 March. His customer service skills went far beyond those that are normally experienced these days and his inter-personal skills are to be congratulated on. He is an asset to Dan and his very professional, courteous, team. Thank you all for making our break so memorable.

We love staying at The Bower Inn. Coming from Cornwall, it's an excellent stop off when we're making our way further up country. I'm not sure how or why, but it felt like we got an upgrade this time! Our room was on the first floor and was very spacious and luxurious. We travel with our dog, and they always make sure she's looked after as well (dogs are definitely welcome here, not just tolerated). The staff are always very friendly and attentive. This is probably our third or fourth time staying here, and each time we always leave saying, "It's so nice here - I wish we could stay longer!"

Clean, cosy and good that even the luxury rooms allowed a dog. We had room 11 and couldn’t fault the room at all and really good value for the luxury it offered. Breakfasts were excellent a lot of choice and tasted delicious. Staff were nice and friendly and very welcoming. we had such a relaxing couple of nights and was just what we needed!

was told at breakfast we would be charged extra for dry cleaning as our dog wet the bed, we assumed as a dog hotel things like this must always happen(Accidents happen). Also told that we should have paid extra for the dog although not mentioned on Booking.com. Asked for Mash with pie but told no Mash only chips even though my husbands meal came with Mash?!? cocktails were overpriced and weren’t great :(

All the Staff were very helpful and so friendly. We stayed in room 11 and it was lovely and clean, cosy, comfortable and peaceful, it was so nice to have proper milk in our room and a cafetiere instead of the usual sachets you find in most B&B's and Hotels. We were visiting family so didn't experience the lunch or dinners so cannot comment, but the breakfasts were delicious! Without hesitation, when we are visiting family again, we will be booking to stay here!

The only two comments I would like to make is that it would be nice to have more choice of bread at breakfast other than Sourdough and we missed having little packets of biscuits in the room with the tea and coffee making facility.

This is our second visit here this year. I think it was room 12 we stayed in which was really lovely, it had a separate seating area and small kitchen to make drinks etc, much nicer than the average plastic milk pots etc. By chance as I had not requested (thinking it would be troublesome to request) this room also had a fridge which was ideal as I have injectables (diabetic) which need to be stored in a fridge, really impressive.

I would have liked some cereals or fruit offered at Breakfast. Cooked breakfast was lovely however.

This hotel feels like it is in the countryside but is positioned just on the outskirts of Bridgwater and not far from the M5. It was extensively enlarged and modernised a few years ago but still has plenty of old world charm. Although newly built the rooms are of a good size and well equipped. It was nice to see that a cafetiere was provided in the room rather than a sachet of instant coffee. The staff go out of their way to ensure that your stay there is enjoyable. Wifi was acceptable.

My only worry would be that more elderly guests might find getting into the bath or shower a little tricky. The facilities in the bathroom seem to have been installed by a 6ft man and things were a little high for my 5ft wife.
