The Brunswick Hotel

The location is brilliant. You're a 2 minute walk from the beach and a 10 minute walk to the train station. Even though I was staying above a pub, I was a few floors up and I couldn't hear anything from inside. Obviously you will get people coming and going from the pub on the surrounding streets but the noise didn't bother me at all. I was made to feel welcome. The room was spotlessly clean (including the bathroom) and the bed was comfortable. I was only needing a hotel for one night after a nearby concert (Bridlington Spa - 5 minute walk) and this was perfect, especially for a solo female traveller. This feels like a safe place to stay. I would definitely come here again.

The only improvement I can suggest would be to maybe add a few labels to the switches outside the bathroom so people know which is which, e.g. light, shower, extractor fan

location, value for money

we stay here about 6 times a year never had a problem, my husband has trouble getting his bearings when staying somewhere different, about 2.30 am he tried getting out the room for the toilet I was trying to get him back in to take him to the toilet , I had a knock on the door telling me to be quiet people were trying to sleep , it lasted for about 30 seconds that’s all till I got him back in the room , I was very disappointed in this , not as iff we were screaming or arguing just trying to get him back in the room 😔I have never felt so humiliated I had been told this

Booked for one night, I was travelling and received a call from Gwen, asking what time I would arrive. When I arrived at the time I said she must have recognised my voice and knew who I was. I was in a single room on floor two, but I’m a severe asthmatic, no problem I’ll switch room for you! Just a few steps up, nothing was to much trouble. I had to leave at 5am just drop the key though the door. Very clean and tidy and I’ll be back again, great value for money and location was perfect for my trip.

Great location, comfy beds, 24hrs access to go in and out. When we had an issue with loud people in the room next door after midnight, I messged the hotel on the app and it was immediately resolved! Tea, coffe, milk and kettle avaliable. When we first came in we thought we will be regreting sleeping above the pub as they had karaoke at the time but in the room you couldn't hear a thing!

Room was quite small, no shower gel- only soap. No carpark (however we found cheap carpark 9min walk).

Location was great, right in the centre and i found off street parking short walk away near the spa. Staff were lovely and the bedding was clean the matress was really good which is always a bonus. For the money it was fine very basic but overall not bad value for money.

No hairdryer. Very small room Carpet in rm 3 definetly needs replacing. Small tight bathroom Small tv on wall but ok for us for 1 night .

the room was fantastic

the only thing i didn't like was there was no none slip shower matt. Has I have bad knees so if I slip getting out of the shower at my age or a person younger could have great difficulty try to get help

The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was central. Our room was a good size and clean.

A minor detail but the curtains were thin and let in the light which in a winter would not be an issue but in summer a blackout lining would have been useful. But obviously its personal choice.

Lovely hotel clean and friendly great location will be coming back

There was nothing to fault it was lovely bar staff very friendly plenty of tea coffee and milk in room beds we're really comfortable

The location next to the harbor, easy to check in at the bar, the room was clean and cleaned every morning, the shower was hot with enough room, the service and the beer at the bar.

I had a really nice view of the street and sea from my room. The landlord and other staff were really friendly, and the lady behind the bar even does a little dance when making coffee. There's even live music. A really nice experience, would definitely recommend.
