The cleanliness of the property was absolutely excellent ! Furnishings a bit "dated" but fully fuctional & very clean - rather have that, than an "industrial" style. Great breakfast room with nice seaviews. Ist breakfast was very, very good, scrambled eggs as good as my lady makes (& that's saying something !) tasty black pudding, well grilled bacon & a decent sausage. Nice mixed fruit to start (bit on small side). The staff, esspecially the 2 lady receptionists we met were all unfailingly friendly, polite & efficient - couldn't ask for better staff. Good seaview from room, with fully opening sash window which is a bit rare in most hotels now.

For the price (just over £132 per night) the room was rather small - with a very small TV. The first 2 days of our stay the wi-fi wouldn't connect at all - the last day it did lol As for the location - a bit of a distance from town, & taxi fares are extortionate (twice what we've paid in L'pool for about the same distance ! In some ways the distance from town was a blessing as Scarborough town centre has one of the worst seagull infestations I've ever seen - & we're from Blackpool ! Town centre (& me) covered in foul droppings, & the noise from the birds that are nesting everywhere is excruciating. Breakfast on our last day was very poor - different black pudding which was awful & bacon that was almost raw - the sausage was overcooked as well !

Booked the Weston for a long weekend with friends. This is a gem of a hotel in the perfect location. We had 2 sea view rooms 12 and 12A .Good views of the sea and harbour. Amenities in the room are great and the maid service was daily, room was spotless. Breakfast is adequate but maybe could be more to set you up for the day if you only want the one course. We walked into Scarborough each night and clocked it at a mile from the hotel to the ‘Lookout’ on the pier. The bar in the hotel closes at 10pm so we often stopped on the way back at the numerous bars and hotels. This is a Lovely quiet hotel, highly recommended and at the right end of town in the South. If you manage to get Vanessa checking you in and serving on the bar, she was brilliant and really helped settle us in on the first night of our stay (Thursday 31st August) all the staff were good but a big shout out for Vanessa. Only other thing to mention is the showers in rooms 12 and 12A are tiny so if your a UK size 12 lady or 40in chest male, you may want to ask for a room with a bath 🙃. But that’s nit picking we had a fab time.

Showers in our room and size of breakfast, asked 2 times for 2 rashers of bacon and each time got 1 even though I didn’t have other things. I did get extra marmite though 😳

The location was quiet, away from the main beaches, but within easy walking distance at the same time. The cliff lift is diagonally across the road, which takes you down next to the Scarborough Spa and from there, it's a few minutes walk to the south beach. So location for us was ideal. The hotel itself was lovely. Clean, very high standard, lift to all floors. My daughter and I had a sea view room on the 3rd floor and the view was stunning, out to sea and all the way along South Beach to Scarborough Castle. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfast was freshly made to order and both my husband and son had high praise for the sausages. If you drive there, the hotel provides you with a parking permit to park on the street outside, which is very useful. It's a beautiful hotel, inside and out, so much so, my daughter, who is very hard to please, wants to visit it again next year. I've said yes.

Although the lift is very welcome, due to limitations within the building, it is quite small. A mirrored back to give the illusion of more space would be helpful. Otherwise, I have nothing else to criticise.

The breakfast was really good and the position of the hotel right on the esplanade on the south bay was great. For us it was an easy walk into the town centre from there, but I can imagine other people may have difficulties.

The lady on reception asked us when we checked in what time we would like breakfast even though she could presumably see that breakfast was not included in our deal. Obviously, they could argue that we should have known whether we had booked breakfast or not but nevertheless I found this to be a cheap trick which is unworthy of this hotel. We will be more careful next time.

Very friendly greeting on arrival, breakfast service was very good including my request for glutton free bread. The room was clean, comfortable and ready for occupation when we arrived. One of the owners manned the bar in the evening and was welcoming and affable.

Although the owners had only been in 6 weeks and did explain why there was no evening restaurant service the absence was a disappointment. As with the majority of British hotels there was no safe deposit in the room something which is almost always provided abroad. Again along with most other British hotels the provision of an iron and ironing board in the room wouldn't go amiss.

We have been several times before when the previous owner had the hotel and have always enjoyed our stay, the new owners and staff are just as friendly and accommodating , the hotel is clean and nicely decorated it is right on the sea front and parking is available

Only serving breakfast at the moment which was very good evening meals can be booked at the sister hotel across the road but the owners do have plans to serve evening meals from September

Breakfast was good, we really enjoyed staying in the room it was very clean and well maintained and the view was excellent, unfortunately I can't comment on dinner as it was not available which was a shame also very pleased with the lift to our third floor as it helped with my disabilities, I would also like to say thank you to the breakfast staff and the room staff, overall we are very impressed.

Hotel very clean. Good location on sea front

Stayed here with the wife - requested a king seaview room (king size bed) and was given a family seaview room (standard double & 1single bed) and charged an extra £10 even though I didn't get the room I requested. The shower cubicle was very small. Could do with double glazing, you could hear all noises from outside, they have thick heavy curtains in the room to stop the cold from the single glazed windows. The radiator was not working properly, I had to speak to the reception to ask for it to be fixed as air in the system.

Breakfast was amazing I have a gluten allergy and staff went above and beyond to cater to my needs and remembered the next morning without asking or hesitation so thoughtful, our stay was lovely quiet and relaxing the perfect couples break we enjoyed drinks at the bar before going out and how private our stay was, loves stunning location short walk from all shops bars and attractions

The rooms were small but cosey will defiantly upgrade to a sea view to make the experience on our next visit cannot fault hotel was lovely

Warm welcome, lovely staff, beautiful dining room and first class cleanliness. We had a room with a Seaview, which was lovely. The breakfast was superb with a great choice, including smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and kippers. We had the full English, which was excellent.

Very small shower cubicle and small double bed. There was no restaurant but we understand that a restaurant is planned. There is a bar and the lady who served us was very chatty and friendly. We would definitely pay a return visit.
