The Farrier is a fabulous hotel. Attention to detail in the furnishings is so tasteful. Top class quality. Bedrooms were again so well furnished and the bed very comfortable. Bathrooms well decorated and immaculately clean. Also a good size with bath and shower cubicle. A magnifying makeup mirror in the bathroom that lit up was so helpful as I am contact lens user. Staff were friendly and very helpful. They all worked as a team which shone through as they were all happy. Restaurant food was first class and cooked to order. All In all I could not find one fault with the hotel and look forward to returning soon. .

It is a beautiful property, it was decorated lovely, so clean. Food was amazing. Staff were exceptional. Everyone from the cleaning team, to bar staff, to reception, all had a lovely, smile, friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. It’s one of the nicest stays I’ve had in a long time and can’t wait to return! Couldn’t find fault with anything. I don’t normally leave reviews and this review doesn’t do the place justice. If your contemplating booking, just do it! You will have no regrets!

Nothing, it was exceptional.

All areas of The Farrier were decorated to an exceptionally high standard and spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The attention to detail in the rooms was exceptional and everything you needed was provided. We were celebrating our 40th Anniversary and the team had left a lovely message and rose petals on the bed, which was very nice. It is good that a lift is available.

On the second evening we struggled to get parked in the busy car park

a good selection for breakfast, good quality produce and very generous portions.very efficient services always with a smile from all the staff at the Farrier.very clean and attention to detail was spot on. :).

We stayed in the Black Beauty room, a beautiful room, which is next to the office and at night you can hear them cashing up in there, didn't disturbe us but some it might.

Just returned home today from an overnight stay at The Farrier we chose to stay here whilst seeing Bryan Adams at the open air theatre in Scarborough . Wow what an Absolutely outstanding accommodation all the staff we encountered were so customer focused and nothing was too much trouble you really do have the best staff! Special shout out goes to Joe you absolute superstar - he went the extra mile and actually dropped me and my husband off at the Tunny catch ready for the concert on his way home after finishing his shift such a lovely genuine guy and we are extremely grateful . We stayed in the black beauty room and it was just superb . Regrettably we didn’t have an evening meal in the restaurant due to the timing of the concert but we did have breakfast we had the full English it was absolutely marvellous quality produce expertly cooked and in such relaxing surroundings . We will certainly be back and will highly recommend to others … book it your seriously won’t regret it

Having to leave to come home

Our stay at the Farrier was all we could have hoped for. The accommodation (The Old Stables) is beautifully spacious and well equipped. The breakfast was excellent with GF options available. The staff were friendly and attentive and instantly made you feel welcome. The Farrier is well positioned to explore the Dinosaur coast and all that North Yorkshire has to offer. Can't wait to come back!

We stayed in The Stables and it was an amazing room. Perfect for our little minimoon away after our wedding. The bed was comfy and the decor was perfect. The breakfasts were excellent and we had a meal there the first night which was also excellent quality. I’d highly recommend it!

Nothing about the property itself but as the weather was awful there’s not a lot to do in the immediate area.

Friendly staff that couldn't do enough for us, the food is excellent and at breakfast they give you a lot of choices so there's plenty to choose from. The room was very clean and so comfy, you feel at home and at ease, would 100% recommend and its very understandable and easy to see why we've stayed here before and will definitely be back.

Nothing really, the place is very clean and well presented with excellent staff, the only gripe you may have if you were pushed is parking can be a little painful at busy times but other than that I can't think of anything bad.

The staff we met were all exemplary and we received a very warm welcome. The outside was beautifully kept, the room was absolutely spotless, comfortable and catered for every eventuality. The restaurant is welcoming and the breakfast exceptional as is the Creme Brulee!

There wasn't anything to dislike. Alhough, we weren't keen on overlooking the main road. Apart from that ... perfect.

Location is secondary to this Hotel.... The Hotel itself should be on a place to go to and enjoy. Having said that: ignore Scarborough. Go to Cayton Beach - half hour walk, 5 mins car from the hotel. Then go to Beverly, Whitby or Robin Hoods Bay . The Farrier is an experience you should have. One of the best Hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. Staff, Food, Rooms: exceptional. High end Kitchen. Down to Earth Staffing. High Value Surroundings. Perfect.
