The Cordelia

The breakfast is delicious with locally sourced produce and plenty of selection including home made jams. Everything at the Cordelia is of a good quality from towels and bedding to mugs and teapots. Rebecca does everything she can to accommodate any requests you have.

Nothing we didn’t like about the Cordelia. The parking could be an issue but that’s the case with the whole area and out of the owners control. We were lucky on the 3 days we spent there and did manage to park when we got back from a day out but once parked we didn’t take the car out again in the evening because not sure we could have parked again. The other thing that could improve it would be a small fridge for milk and water etc.

The Cordelia is exceptional, it's family run, Rebecca was a fabulous host from when I had to phone the property as we got a bit lost but it was our satnav, to welcoming us to when we left The breakfasts was fabulous, its a pre-booked system but if you needed extra nothing was too much trouble, the room was very big, very spacious and bright, quiet area and guests respected each others privacy and quiet The property is maybe 5 10 minute walk from the amusements and castle and various other attractions, we would definitely recommend The Cordelia , thank you for making our stay fantastic, keep doing what youre doing Thank you, Gary & Annette

Can't fill this in as it was exceptional couldn't fault it

On our arrival we received a very warm, friendly greeting, followed by a slab of delicious home made cake to go with our cuppa (and not forgetting the Tunnocks wafers waiting for us in the room!). The hotel is a beautiful building with very tasteful decor, we loved the antique furniture. Our room was very bright and airy and had a huge bed. The room itself was very clean and comfortable, there was quite a selection of teas and coffee in the room, replenished daily, along with quality biscuits! Several choices are offered on the breakfast menu, we sampled most of them! All were nicely presented, cooked to perfection and delicious. Second helpings weren't necessary as the portion sizes were just right, although if you did want more you only had to ask. The hotel is in a great location and parking was not a problem. Would highly recommend the Cordelia and would definitely stay there again.

Nothing to dislike, even the weather was good!

Everything went exceedingly well. Excellent breakfasts, good location safe parking, good infrastructure in terms of local transport and a great shopping experience. We love Scarborough and we loved the Cordelia. We hope to revisit the wonderful Cordelia. I appreciate the qualities this property illustrates; it is a most wonderful example of late Victorian building amongst many more on Esplanade Road. We were made very welcome with a charming family. I wished we had arranged a longer stay.

HAVING TO LEAVE.

A beautiful little hotel with a real personal touch. Rebecca was really welcoming on our arrival and extremely attentive throughout our visit. Lovely little touches like the cake on arrival made our visit. The breakfast was fantastic and we took advantage of the slate boards for supper on our first night and they were awesome! Highly recommended. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean! The bed was super comfy as well. Lots of tea and coffee in the room along with great quality biscuits! The standard of quality of all the food we had and such items as the toiletries were of a high end Mayfair boutique style hotel! Can't wait to return very soon!

Quiet, good location. Excellent, pleasant hosts. Clean, well appointed rooms. Communal rooms are tastefully decorated and dressed. Extensive breakfast options.

Although the cooked breakfast used good quality ingredients, a couple of items seemed to have suffered from being pre-cooked too early. En-suite shower would not have been suitable for guests of larger proportions.

A beautiful period house with modern amenities set within a classic seaside locale. On street parking (with complimentary permit) just a few minutes walk from wonderful sea views and beyond that the town centre. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious & served with a lovely Cafetière of coffee. We also enjoyed fresh orange juice. We found the property to be spotlessly clean, welcoming and given the location, amenities & breakfast also great value.

We received a warm welcome from Rebecca on arrival, she offered us fresh milk for tea and also surprised us with some homemade cake it's the little things that count. Breakfast was delicious and included lots of options and is made to order a great start to each day. Thank you all for a lovely stay

This place might be my best stay at a bed and breakfast style hotel. Nice reception, good breakfast, nice help to find excellent places to both eat at have a look around. I struggle to find negatives at all. 5 out of 5, would try to come again to visit this place if I will be close to this area. Worth every penny and more.

If I could nitpick is that the shower could have more pressure. But that is a issue in most of UK.

Everything was fantastic, the property was absolutely beautiful, in immaculate condition, very tastefully decorated with a quality well loved feel about it. The hosts, Rebecca and James have obviously worked very hard and perfected their skills within the hospitality industry. Great nights sleep, lovely breakfast, everything just oozed quality from arrival to departure.
