Wonderful staff and an excellent central location. Breakfast was fabulous, huge choice and plenty of it. Lovely fresh fruit salad was a nice bonus too , great service from Anna. Nice surprise to find our room had been serviced the next morning.

Private Party on Saturday night got very loud and raucous, and the abusive language that went on in the courtyard and bar wasn't pleasant. It didn't settle down till after midnight, but perhaps this is to be expected when staying over the pub. It wouldn't put us off staying again, as overall it was a good weekend.

The property was in a brilliant situation for us. Everything was very clean and well cared for. Breakfast was lovely and the service was efficient and friendly. The stay was excellent value for money and we would really like to stay again.

The hotel does not have parking but there is on street parking a short distance away so not a problem. However, when I arrived after a long journey, I walked into the bar to enquire where we could park. I did not feel very welcomed by the barman who was not very helpful and joined in with the patrons of the bar who enquired loudly that did I expect them to put up a multi storey car park. A smile and some directions would have been nice! Everyone else was very pleasant !

Town centre Hotel with no parking BUT THAT WAS MADE VERY CLEAR. Nearby free parking or pay town carpark within two minute walk. We found a space on street, free nearby. Room was very good size and bed really comfy, hardly any noise from bar downstairs or the street. Bathroom very well appointed, efficient and the large shower was great. Towels and bedlinen sparkling, tea/ coffee making generous and effective. Breakfast was probably one of the best, hot and generous, fresh fruit selection top marks, cereals, tea, toast plentiful.

These are picky, more advice to future guests. Read the blurb about parking. The website SEEMS to indicate food is available in the evening, it isn't but there are excellent eateries with a few minutes' walk( we used The Olive Tree, 50 metres away.)

We liked the location, friendly staff, our room was comfortable with a great shower and the breakfasts were tasty and plentiful.

The Only thing was that the bar shut more than 2 hours earlier than advertised on the Sunday evening - with almost no warning - which meant that we, and the family members we were meeting, had to go searching around Bridport on a Sunday night looking for somewhere to meet, talk and drink. We found just one place open which is probably down to it being end of season. It was a shame that we couldn’t enjoy the facilities where we were staying that evening.

Very friendly traditional pub, just off the main street. Rooms have been given a (budget) boutique vibe. Good bathroom. Excellent cooked breakfast.

Parking (none!) is a bit of an issue, as is street noise at night. (We had the room at the front, admittedly. Never really understood why people need to shout in the middle of the night!)

Very comfortable bed, lovely big shower and shower room, more than adequate shampoo and shower gel and hand wash. Plenty of goodies in the drinks tray. Kept clean by regular servicing. Breakfast tables well spaced out. Good cooked brekkie and lots of choice for those not wanting cooked, jams etc galore. Staff v attentive. Had separate front door to the rooms if you did not want to go through the pub. It is a pub and a seemingly well frequented one, so do expect noise from downstairs or courtyard. So very central for shops, cafes, buses.

nothing really

Lovely well run pub just off the Main Street in Bridport. Friendly locals and a good relaxed vibe - you could say a community pub. Nice mix of inside and outside areas inc a cocktail bar! Excellent friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble. Room itself was spotlessly clean, great shower, stylish furnishings and spacious (I had a deluxe double but my walking friend had a small double which was also good. Breakfast excellent too with a big pot of coffee or tea per person. Parking could be an issue if you find walking a few hundred yards difficult. Can’t fault this place.

Very comfortable room and beds. Piping hot water for showers/bath. Great cooked breakfasts with ordering the night before so it was ready at a pre-arranged time. Great pub with craft beers but no noise heard in the bedroom. Close to the long stay parking. Straightforward check in and check out

Friendly welcome. Delighted with the room. More like a boutique hotel upstairs from the pub. Lovely big shower in the bathroom . Nice g and t in their garden in the evening before a meal out as they don't do dinner here. Watched telly in bed then a quiet and comfortable night followed by a massive breakfast. Second time we have stayed here and we will be back. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Breakfast very good. We like being able to reserve breakfast night before. Makes sense. Decor of bedroom very pleasant. Great selection of real ales. Outside areas very good. Friendliness of staff. We found this by accident needing a room around Bridport for the next day. So we were very lucky to get last one.

Obviously parking unavailable on site but there is a public car park very close and reasonably priced from 8am to 6pm. Room was overlooking one of outside areas and people were smoking, so that was unpleasant for me.
