Staybridge Suites Brighton, an IHG Hotel

Good note, very good breakfast, unfortunately my bed sheets had not been cleaned properly and what was visible was dried food still on the sheets. I explained this to the reception and showed photo evidence, but because I had booked through Booking.com I was not entitled to any discount on the room, had I booked direct with the hotel, they would have offered some discount. In fairness the reception did offer a complementary bottle of wine should i book and return to the hotel again. Nice gesture, however spending another £170+ on a room just to get a free bottle of wine is a bit daft.

I normally stay at the Wonderful Staybridge Suite Hotel in Liverpool and I thought let’s give the Brighton one a try even though I could of chosen many cheaper ones at the time ,When I arrived the Manager and his staff were very welcoming,and as soon as I entered my room I was Blown away with how nice it was I felt like 007!

There was no Bacon for Breakfast and the option I thought could of been better also I noticed one of the members of staff had dirty shoes and his shirt was hanging out I feel these little things should be addressed because the hotel is so nice and clean

The room was comfy and nice, and I love that there is air con and heating, and the shower was wonderful, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. Staff were welcoming and kind and sorted out everything and anything we needed. The rooms' additional facilties, fridge, freezer, oven etc. We're great, and we made full use of them, and we're all of a good quality. The gym and games room were quiant and nice to have access to, and we liked that everything was done by keycard rather than people just wandering around the hotel.

There wasn't a massive amount of options for food during breakfast. The room was smaller than excepted but still nice. The TV was at a very odd angle to the bed and was difficult to watch.

Property was located very close to the beach- driving distance. The kitchenette was very handy- cooker, microwave, Cutlery, cooking items, fridge (with milk) coffee, tea, dishwasher. The bathroom was exceptional in design and facilities Hotel has a gym room Hotel has a den room/ with a pool table (£1 per game) which was great entertainment, with board games, TV, books in a comfy environment The breakfast selection was just right- hot food (omelette, bean) pastry, cereal, coffee, yogurts, toast and condiments

The rooms were a little dusty due to ventilation- there is AC in the room but no open windows Parking not available

Breakfast was plenty, Lots of options with cereal, fruit, continental and full English. Really lovely area to sit and eat. The room was nice with massive walk in shower. If I was staying for a long weekend, the kitchen area would've been ideal to cook meals as a cheaper alternative to eating out. The gym had plenty of equipment to choose from. The Den was also a nice touch with as a chill out area. Sofa's. Pool table books & games. The shop next to reception was nice touch in case you had forgotten anything and didn't want to venture out. You got buy pizza to cook in your room :-) All staff were welcoming and friendly, Would recommend this as a place to stay. Shops and restaurants were a 5 minute walk away. No complaints for our stay.

No parking, but staff were helpful with suggestions and the parking wasn't too far from the hotel and was cheap.

The room was amazing, had everything one could need, kitchen facilities, fridge, dish washer, ironing board, was very clean and excellent quality bedsheets. The location to the train station was perfect, we just walk out the hotel then just around the corner to a lift that took us directly to the train station with our luggage on tow. The shower had excellent water pressure. We only stayed one night but overall, it was the best experience we could expect with the room, location and friendly staff.

The breakfast was missing fried eggs, and all the hot dishes should have been kept on warmers to keep them nice and warm or hot. Should have multi-grain breads although they did have whole wheat bread.

We spent one lovely night at the hotel and really enjoyed how spacious the room and bathroom were. The shower was really great! The kitchenette also has everything you’d need (apart from a coffee maker, only instant coffee) and everything was clean. Recommend and would stay longer next time. Breakfast was nice as well, with a good selection of croissants, pains au chocolat, bread, baked beans, scrambled eggs, granola and yogurt, orange juice, coffee, …

You can hear noises from the corridor. Earplugs can come in handy if you’re sensitive to that. There was no parking space at the hotel. Cheapest option was London Road Parking, which was £22.80/day.

The location was fabulous, good facilities including laundry (free but powder chargeable), comfy bed and breakfast included was a nice touch. Very quiet during our stay. Staff were very helpful. Great alternative to Airbnb- there is a huge Sainsbury’s round the corner.

All crockery & cutlery in room filthy (previous occupant not hotels fault). Had to run it all through the dishwasher. No toiletries in bathroom as had not been topped up - had to beg a number of times and finally got some at 8:30 am which might have been an bigger issue if I was going out early. Take some with you, folks! Lift that links Brighton Station to hotel is out of order (Council issue not hotel) so a struggle down steps with cases. Our door handle was falling off.

The hotel itself was clean and modern. The person on the front desk was very friendly and made checking in easy. The breakfast was very good and had a nice variety including a few hot options. The facilities were very good and I'm would have made use of the den and fitness centre if stayed longer. The location was very central and easy to navigate to areas of interest

There was not parking on site. Had to arrange separate parking arrangements. Did not understand why the Trafalgar street car park was not recommended, as literally round the corner. Also requested an additional pillow and staff could not help. TV volume on BBC one did not work, which meant watching Wimbledon in silence.

Location is great: we parked the car at the station car park, which was very reasonably priced (£24 for the weekend) then everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. Hotel was great: Lovely bathroom - a spacious wet room with a powerful shower, spotless. King bedroom was big and bed was super comfortable. We didn’t use the kitchen facilities but noticed how well equipped it was. Breakfast choices were good.

Just a suggestion: Breakfast was great but would have been even better with fresh fruit salad or a fruit compote to go with the cereals and yogurt. Everything else was lovely.
