Queens Hotel & Spa

Lovely big rooms with lots of character features. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the spa facilities were great.

Despite the food itself being great, the organisation of breakfast was slightly chaotic with people struggling to find tables, tables not being cleared and staff generally unsure of which tables had been allocated. The central location was perfect in the day but can be noisy overnight with parties taking place even at 5am on streets directly adjacent to some of the hotel rooms. Plumbing in the rooms was also poor with low water pressure for sinks, baths, showers and even the toilet flush.

The room was comfortable and it was quite a big room, so it was easy to move about. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was really good. The hotel is well located for all the places we wanted to see. The facilites at the hotel really good. We will stay there again next time we come to Brighton.

The only downside to the stay was there was not a fridge in the room, which would have been good to keep my medication cool.

We would like to say a BIG thanks to all the hardworking, friendly staff at Queen's Hotel who made our stay a great one, especially Christian, hotel reception desk, on 2nd Jan when we checked in. Christian made the stay extra special (I had mentioned it was my Jan birthday break when we booked) with thoughtful gestures - card, drinks and a complimentary late checkout - really appreciated! Please give him a warm thanks from us all :). The location of the hotel is fab (near Brighton Pier, the Lanes shops and Brighton Pavillion). We also love the hotel facilities such as the pool (Great for when it's raining outside! Warm swimming pool, hot showers and on site), the ample buffet breakfast and the well equipped gym. The family room was well-sized with comfortable beds, city views and a decent, en suite bathroom. We have stayed with Queen's Hotel before - and this time everything was as lovely as expected, and at a good price for a family of 4 in January - but those wonderful birthday gestures will mean we will be definitely be back again for my next birthday....if not before! :)

Only one working lift and maybe some decor needed updating, but generally a wonderful stay!

Breakfast was very good. The room had a great ocean view and was relatively quiet . The hotel has a swimming pool, exercise room and an on site spa. You could walk to the Pavilion, pier and all the shops in the Lanes from the hotel, Across the street is the beach and boardwalk, and on the same street, multiple restaurants.

She's a glorious old hotel with great architecture but could use some sprucing up. Also, this is not a reflection of the hotel, but children in the breakfast room need to be watched by the parents and it should be a policy that the child cannot get food for themselves. The children I saw were touching food and putting it back. Yuck!

Excellent location right on the sea front near pier. Fabulous breakfast every morning with really good selection of food including fresh fruit, continental meats and cheese and English breakfast buffet with quite a late finish. Really helpful and happy staff. We ate an evening meal in restaurant and it was really good and had tea and cake often. Loved the gym and swimming pool facilities with very nice changing rooms and showers. We stayed in the one bedroom apartments next door but still used all facilities.

Pool was a little on the chilly side, could have done with a pool cover for use overnight to keep temperature up a bit. Apartment block looked a bit shabby from outside and could be a bit noisy from the night life.

The room was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Location was great, right by the seafront.

Would have been nice if breakfast finished a bit later. We didn't want to get up early being on holiday.

Great overall with fantastic staff only complaint was the pool pics online were deceiving although a nice pool it was much smaller than the pictures showed a minor complaint tbh everything else was lovely and a great location

We stayed here for 5 nights and the hotel was nice to stay in, whilst we enjoyed exploring Brighton... we didn't have Breakfast as it was a bit pricey £15pp. The location is really great and the facilities were ok... however, I do think the rooms and swimming pool all need to have a makeover and bring it back to a good-looking hotel. Overall, I wish we didn't have to return back home, as we had a lovely time in Brighton.

It was a bit dusty, and it had some mould & mildew around the windows/on the curtains in the Triple room, but overall the room was good.

We stayed in the apartment across the road that is linked to the hotel. Overall staff was very friendly and polite that work in the bar especially Fabio and the mixed race guy that works in the morning. Made us feel very welcome. I met Kim from Eastenders as she was staying there with her family.

Very noisy as I stayed in the apartments.Once the clubs shut a lot of people was shouting as there is a kebab shop right next door to the entrance and windows are thin and there is an Alcatraz prison bar on the other side of the entrance.So shouting from the people who left the clubs until 5am.

The location is perfect for the pier and is pretty central. It's an old building, but the room and facilities are clean. Great breakfast. Really helpful and friendly staff. Our room was a family room, and the bedroom was a separate room with the lounge, which had a single bed and sofa bed, which was perfect for us.

Our room faced a pub and kebab shop. Very, very noisy on Friday night from people enjoying a drink. It wasn't overly disrupting but enough to wake us now and again until around 6am. The fire alarm went off on Friday night, but there didn't appear to be any staff around on floor one to help people. It was a false alarm, but messages were sent back with guests with this information. There was no mention of it the following morning.
