Littleover Lodge Hotel

The lodge is in a very good location. It is easy to find and has all the facilities that one can need. Good bar, good food and good service. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities that you would need. Vehicle parking was plentiful too. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Not much to not like. The one thing that bugged me was the window or rather the state of it. I could hardly see out of it. It looked like it was all misted on the inside and was needing replaced.

We arrived just before the start of a Halloween party being organised by the hotel. They had made a lot of effort with the decor and had live music as well. The staff and punters were in full Halloween costume/makeup. Despite their ghoulish appearance, the staff were very attentive to the guests. Freshly made pizza from the pizza oven and a hog roast were on offer, along with celebration cocktails - all very reasonably priced. This was an imaginative and welcoming event which it was a pleasure to attend even though we knew no one. Despite it being a party, we slept well and were not aware of any noise.

Having the ability to bring our small dog was great and the fact we could park our car directly outside our room was very good as we both have limited mobility. The space of the downstairs lounge area and the upstairs room was lovely. Having the option of it being delivered as we had to leave early was excellent.

Minor moan would be no hair dryer, there was no knob on wardrobe door and the breakfast juice was a little warm when we got it. But minor moans to be honest.

Two of our party were 89 years old. The care and consideration given by the hotel staff when advised about this was really appreciated. A special mention and thank you to Keith who was watching over the breakfast service - he was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for him.

There was only one disabled parking space that we could see but we were able to park close enough to our rooms for this not to be too much of an issue.

Everything! The room was very spacious and extremely clean, the staff were really helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good too. The towels and bed linen were of a high quality and the room was very comfortable.

There was nothing that I didn't like. The only fault I could find was that there was a couple of light bulbs missing. I could have mentioned this while I was there but it was of no consequence at all

This is a fantastic hotel for a short stay, we had a family birthday to celebrate and this was ideal as a meeting place. Rooms are good, bathrooms are dated but ok. Restaurant is fantastic had dinner sitting outside with a singer who was amazing! Food was delicious and good value! Also cocktails were 2 for £12 all night! Included breakfast is continental but you can upgrade to cooked for £6.50 which is definitely worth it, it was the best cooked breakfast we have had in a long while!! Ee will definitely be back thank you.

Lovely staff - Clean - Quiet Easy access to the bus (just 2 minutes outside) and the V3 bus could take you all along the line to Derby Centre and Burton Station Coffee in the room - clean towels - nice warm bath water to each ones needs Nicest Bar downstairs with good food and drinks

Only the bath triton made some noise while taking your shower :) :)

Lovely clean rooms, nice helpful staff, great atmosphere, I've stayed here a few times and have always had a great stay

It's changed a little since my last stays, mostly it's all good but they've removed the cooked breakfast for a continental breakfast which for when your day is travelling and visiting with no idea when you might get a chance to stop and eat is useless, today was 10 hours before I had the opportunity, which an English breakfast would have seen me through , so although I love this place I most probably won't be using it again unfortunately

My wife has limited mobility, so they arranged for our room to be next to the parking spaces. They also put my son in the next room, and my brother in another room next to us on the other side even though he booked separately. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. When I reported that one of the windows didn't fully close in our room, they had a maintenance person look into it within a few minutes and it was resolved within ten minutes. Everything appeared to be well organised and the whole place ran like clockwork. The rooms and food are pretty standard, however, the rooms were very clean and the food well cooked. After our first day away, we came back to find they had provided a second chair in the room without being asked, which was very thoughtful. Each day the teas, coffee and biscuits etc were fully replenished. That might seem like a small thing but we have stayed at more expensive hotels where in-room refreshments were provided upon arrival and never restocked. At this price point, the facilities and services are unbeatable and we would definitely book there again if we need somewhere to stay in the area. It's located in a quiet area only a few minutes off the main roads, which makes a stay pleasant whilst access to surrounding attractions is quick and easy.

My room was double floor. Upstairs was the large bedroom and downstairs was a seating area, and bathroom facilities. Tea and coffee was provided. I enjoyed my stay. I was running a bit late to check as I was waiting for a pickup. The staff was kind enough to let me stay in my room until I was picked up without incurring extra costs. really nice of them.
