Drinks (cask ale and G&T and general ambience in the bar mid afternoon were fine as was the bedroom, Breakfast staff team were very helpful and friendly, and breakfast itself standard full english was tasty, served fast and great value,

bed was obviously two singles pushed together. Car park was ok but not that secure. Bacardi/white gin apparently ran out saturday we were told by other customers we randomly shared a table with. Would be nice to have some kind of loyalty / discount to use in other Marstons Inn locations and I thought I'd signed up for something but can't find any email record.

Accommodation is across the car park from the pub which offers a quieter location than if in the same building. Room was clean, bright and spacious. Didn't eat at the pub for an evening meal but menu card in room offered a wide choice and reasonably priced. Bed really comfy and fan in the room moved the air as it was a warm night! Breakfast service started at 7.00 which was good value and choice of breakfast menu's to suit. Overall I can recommend this venue.

Nothing I didn't like, car parking perhaps only might be an issue if pub was really busy, just longer to walk with a bigger overnight bag used.

Room was basic but clean and comfortable, plenty of nice towels. Check in was straight forward. We ate in the restaurant in the evening with family, food and service were good and to add interest it was quiz night. Bed was very comfortable and the room quiet which made for an excellent nights sleep. Breakfast was very good although found the pricing structure a little complicated. All in all a good stay and will use again when visiting family in Derby.

Include an all you can eat breakfast with hotel bookings.

The beds and pillows were extremely comfy and because of that we will return again definitely when travelling to see family in Derby. Two small points it would have been helpful to have a dial out phone in the room and the second one, the room was really clean with the exception of the top of the headboard which joined the 2 beds. I thought there was something sticking out on the headboard and when investigated found it was nothing more than dust. There was enough dust to leave quite a trail on my finger, room 6. I expect they are rushed off their feet to get all the changeovers done and this was just an oversite. It wont stop us coming back to visit again. The staff were extremely polite and very friendly and courteous. The bar staff were exactly the same friendly, courteous and nothing was too much trouble for them. We booked for 4 nights and added another 2 nights on as extra because we were so pleased with our accomodation., but the downside was we had to pay an increase of £20 per night. We shall be returning to Derby to see our family probably November time and hopefully get a good deal for 7 nights.

No phone in the room otherwise we were so pleased we will be back later in the year. I would have liked Nutella as it said it was available but clearly no stock. Everything else was fine

The rooms are exceptionally well designed. King sized bed, quality bedding and towels, windows that open, space in the bathroom to put your things, plenty of space to open suitcases, shower curtain space. 20 yards to the adjoining pub/ restaurant. Great service and staff. Free car parking, 2 miles from city centre. Endless tea and coffee. Clean. Blackout curtains. Quiet. Value for money.

Continental breakfast. No Yoghurt, no fruit, no meats, no cheeses, no marmalade. Sachet coffee.

The room was very clean and quiet spacious. It was an awesome stay, friendly staff. It was as advertised and I came for some peace of mind and I just got just that. Secure wifi and coffee and tea available in the room. The food is great and world standard. I would definitely give it a 5/5

So far so good, I had a bit of a problem with the tap in the bath tub but the staff came to attend right away and moved me to a new room. Very hosting staff, they were very helpful and nice. They gave me a free dinner for the mishap.

Close to shops, free car parking, big room, hot water

My towels hasn't been changed during my whole 5 day stay even though I left them in the bath. Bath wasn't cleaned either. Bed sheets hasn't been changed or made, carpet wasn't hoovered either so not sure what was done while cleaning apart from the person left old cleaning cloth on the floor. Room was quite dusty and not too clean. Room loud if anyone was walking outside the door, poor lighting

Loads of parking space. 10 minutes drive from Derby town centre and next-door to a large retail park with a late night Sainsburys. Easy check in (in the pub), and a short walk from the bar to the separate accommodation annexe. The room was very clean, tidy and had complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. There seemed to be a lot of people staying but at night I didn't hear a sound which was great as I am a light sleeper. The bathroom was adequate and the shower was superb. It makes a change to have decent water pressure giving a really powerful shower. I cant comment on the food generally as I only had breakfast, a full English, which I could have gone large on but the standard size was more than enough to set me up for the day!

I may have missed the arrival information but I lugged my stuff to the accommodation only to find that I had to lug it back to the bar to book in. Leave your stuff in the car until you have booked in! There is a reception in the accommodation but it is only manned by the night porter (which in itself is re-assuring). The bathroom sink was blocked, not completely but it emptied sooo slowly. To be fair I only reported this on check-out. If you are using the excellent shower make sure you have every inch of the bath curtained off or you will flood the bathroom!

The check in was smooth, friendly staff, happily gave us the number of local takeaways & supplied plates & cutlery. Also the Dove shower gel & moisturing hand wash was a nice addition. The bed was comfortable & having a sofa in the room was a great addition if you want to relax in the room.

The plug in the bath was difficult to get out. We had to use a knife & scissors to remove it. The pub was under staffed on our departure morning so we did not have breakfast on site.

When we arrived we were really surprised how large and clean the room was .. given the price we were expecting much more of a budget stay .. the pub was only a few feet away and it was really close to a large retail park and a big sainsburys! ... so literally everything you could have possibly wanted was within a short walk. We arrived on a Friday night, so there was entertainment in the pub a few feet away and Frank Sinatra (I'm pretty confident not the real one) was belting out classics .. what a fantastic atmosphere to arrive too after a long journey. The staff were friendly and we have a wonderful stay .. and we'll definitely stay again! Thank you!
