The Stuart Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

Where do I start with this one? The staff was great, Skylar helped me with the room issue I had and went above and beyond to find me the perfect one and Lauren made me feel like I was at home with the fantastic conversation we had. I can't stop here, Katie and Natasha were amazing too, Natasha is very helpful when I ask for apples and Katie is such a doll to talk to. it's one of those places you want to stay more because of how amazing the staff is. The rest of it? The rooms are great, the location is close to everything you mostly need, and the public transportation is a walking distance away.

Besides not receiving a goodbye Hug and not having an elevator everything else was exquisite

The personal assistance given by the night manager when the door failed to open with the wipe key. Second, the personal attitude of resturant/breakfast manager: very warmth and made the morning a break of excitement to the full day ahead. Third, the best traditional English breakfast that was very well prepared and we enjoyed it.

Overall, more effort is needed on the hygiene and thorough sanitation of the beddings. We found big yellow stain on the bed kit. This hygiene is important and should not be overlooked because this is serious for people with allergy and so on. The provision for ironing and angers in the wardrobe could have been better. Meanwhile, the shower and toilet in the ensuite room 217 is excellent and our overall evaluation of the stay is also excellent.

The service was extremely pleasant. The staff at the front were very accommodating and attentive. My room was cleaned everyday and we were given fresh towels on a daily basis. My luggage was lost the first day and I was so frazzled but the front desk was very helpful and sympathetic to our situation and helped in every way they could. I certainly appreciate their kindness during our entire stay.

I was not aware that there would be no lift, so that was a bit of a challenge. Taking up three full suitcases up 3 flights of stairs was no picnic. But staff members helped to bring the bags upstairs. The room had no AC but the weather was not unbearable so it was a nuisance but not too bad.

The location was very good, the staff were friendly and the hotel room was clean. Also it was spacious and had a bath which we never usually get in hotels. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were clean and stain free.

The room was very stuffy and hot even though the windows were always open and we were provided with a fan. The panel on the bath was coming away and you could feel a breeze through it. Plus the handles to get in and out were coming out of their sockets I think it needs to be maintanied a bit better.

Staff were very friendly, double room was small but comfortable and had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable and clean. We were also provided with a standing fan for the hot weather. WiFi was easy to access and had a fast connection. Location is great, right near the train station and bus stops, as well as close to lots of restaurants and cafes. There was also discounted parking in the hotel car park.

Double room was very cosy for 2 people as we had luggage, but it wasn't too much of an issue. When we arrived the bathroom smelt like sewage but this was promptly sorted the following day by workmen who came to sort the drains; however for them to do this they switched off the water and didn't tell us (and my friend was currently in the shower at the time), so I had to go to reception and they put the water back on within 20 minutes. The bathroom did have some black mould in the shower and on the mirror. First couple of nights noise could be heard from other rooms so had to wear earplugs.

Good location for my visit. Room-very comfortable bed. Appreciated big fan. Breakfast on Saturday was well cooked, plenty of choice.

Outside of hotel needs some attention, loose tiles on steps. Car parking- information on parking with booking confirmation would have been helpful. I downloaded NCP app and paid full fee on arrival. On checking in I was as told I only needed to pay half rate as a guest by completing form. I did this for the second 24 hour period but would have appreciated information prior to arrival. Sunday breakfast was very busy. The staff worked hard to keep the hot food topped up but there were long queues and crowding around hot drink station. A second hot drink station in another plac would have been useful.

Extremely comfortable bed, hot bath available plus attentive room support for towels & tea/coffee, milk. Nice tv for basic channels. Quiet room. Hair Dryer. Large electric fan. String type seat to lie my case on which was very handy.

Only basic channels on tv. Carpet Very badly worn. Awful Breakfast in XS restaurant, staff very friendly & helpful, food buffet style & all cold, plates cold, tea/coffee machine perfect though. Nice pastries, fruit & yogurt. Nice fruit juice. Toast machine undercooked My toast as brown bread then after putting through again it came out black. The staff said they would cook me a slice from the kitchen so i said brown 3 times & it came back white, said wanted brown & came back ok but not cooked enough really to enjoy. Too doughy.

Confusion from booking. Booking. Com put the advertisement Staurt sure hotel 0n 10/04/2023 as promotional rate £125 covering 6/05/2023 to 09/05/2023 + £100 security deposit refundable making sum of £225 on my booking reservations. On arrival to Hotel on 06/05/2023, l was asked to pay £262.32 . On checking out on 09/05/2023, my request for refundable £100 was not granted as booking. Com did not clearly document to hotel for my refund. Unfortunately this is regarded as high cost booking . My complaints to hotel was not addressed for £100 deposit refund. I am escalating this to booking. Com for investigation and refund of £100 back into my

Everything. The staff very welcoming and felt like family. Good selection of food at breakfast and evening meal was good sized portion. In fact couldn't manage a sweet course. Lovely to use the bar area for relaxation and perhaps a little drink. Read such negative reviews before going and was apprehensive but if any problems occur the staff are only too happy to resolve problems. Bed very comfortable and nice size room with ironing board and iron. Hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities in room. Only cups on the tray and l prefer a larger tea and a lovely mug was made available. Ten minutes walk away from the Derbion shopping centre.

Lovely clean hotel, my room was great with lovely bathroom, staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, buffet style so you could eat as much as you liked

Car parking is run by NCP at £4.95 for 24 hours which is OK. However the instructions ask you to download an NCP app or scan to download the app which I did. After downloading I tried to pay but after a few tries it said the the app was made for an earlier version of Android. I was then wondering what to do. It was cold and raining so not ideal. However the receptionist in the hotel took payment and sorted it out. Maybe NCP need to keep their app up to date as that is the way they want you to pay
