Stayed at the seven Stars 4 times and it is still one of my favourite places ,staff are wonderful , food in the great and large portions , bed in room 6 where we normally stay is super comfy the Pub is located in the middle of the town so is a perfect location , next to the church so you will hear the bells

Seagulls - but as we are visitors , think they have the upper hand on our first 2 stays there was always a small breakfast basket , cereals and yogurts which was a lovely touch but this has stopped now , there is still fresh milk in the mini fridge which is great and accompanies the well stocked tea and coffee tray

It's very central location with shops, pubs and restaurants within the short walking distance. Obviously it's not quiet, but that wasn't a problem for us. The bed was huge and super comfy. Usually I don't like hotel pillows, but those were perfect. The bathroom was modern, clean and shiny. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The only thing we didn't like in this room was the floor. It was very uneven, squeaky and made everything in the room move and vibrate, when walking. I understand it's quite old building, but the room was nicely decorated, so I'm sure it's possible to do improvements with the floor as well.

Great location, very comfortable and extremely clean. Staff were lovely and helpful. Great to also have an option to purchase parking only a short walk away from location.

Nothing to dislike. The room we stayed in was very warm at night, but a large fan is supplied to help with this. Also very old building so stairs are steep and narrow. Not a problem for us but would not want to get kids up there or elderly relatives.

The room was beautifully decorated, a great size, great bathroom, fabulous amenities. Bed size was fabulous! Nice touch with the cookies, milk and water. Very clean, a great room!

The outside noise and also the inside noise when others were entering and leaving their rooms. It's a difficult challenge, but the doors seem to slam somehow, which wakes you up. This is beyond the hotel's control, but the outside noise was excessive until about 1200. Although the bed was a great size, it isn't that comfortable. I think the introduction to cotton sheets, pillow cases would make a big difference and the filling of the pillows wasn't great. These days, you can secure great cotton linen at wholesale prices. We have 5 properties and the little extra investment in 100% cotton really makes a big difference to our guests they say. Not sure it's possible to double glaze the windows due to the age of the building and council restrictions, but that may help.

There were two bar staff all afternoon and all evening, as far as I could see. They were: checking in staying guests, taking drink orders, welcoming booked dining guests, taking food orders, answering queries, bringing meals to tables, clearing the tables. Not once did I see either of them falter or grumble, they both got on with it. And it was very busy, for a Monday. Absolutely outstanding.

A lovely room. We liked having a fridge too. The pub below was super, a lovely place to join a pint or two and their superb pizzas. We found it well located and despite being in the centre of town it was a quiet little spot. Just perfect!

Could have asked if we'd wanted the room to be cleaned each day. We paid a daily charge to clean for the dog, so we thought someone would be in each day.

Very clean & very well kept. Comfy bed, good shower, fridge with complimentary milk & a couple of bottles of water. super staff & the bar in the pub reflects all i’ve said above. Without doubt we will return sooner rather than later i hope.

It was no bother for us, but the stairs to the rooms are narrow & steep, so wouldn’t any good for anyone who has difficulty with your average home staircase’s.

The building itself and location. Nearby a church with atmospheric bell ringing. room was nice and large, bathroom was brand new and clean, tv had all the channels available. How the room key unlocked the front door so we could come and go as we please. Overall quiet stay. Amply complimentary tea and coffee accessories supplied.

The room needed a chair and a table.

The location, in the centre of Dartmouth, was superb - just a couple of minutes' walk from the Dart, and convenient to come and go during the day, yet very quiet, even during Regatta week. The room was lovely - very comfortable, clean and spacious, with a mini fridge that was re-stocked with bottled water and milk for tea and coffee every day. The proprietor and all staff in the pub downstairs were very friendly and helpful, and I was made to feel very welcome.

The only negative was a lack of view from the window, but I spent most of my time out, as the weather was excellent, so this wasn't a big problem.

Staff were amazing very helpful extremely friendly and they were to all customers. Great atmosphere nothing seemed too much effort Dinner was good and it was the first night of restaurant opening.

Thought the price could of included the continental breakfast and at £20 seemed a bit steep but didnt order so can't clarify if it would have been good value. Stair carpet to the rooms was extremely old and dirty and as it was the main thoroughfare to the kitchen on the first floor.
