The Parkers Arms - The home of Cattlemans Steakhouse0

This is a lovely little place to stay, very local to the shops but away from the busy roads. The room was above the bar and was soo quiet. We didn’t have time to eat in the restaurant unfortunately but it looked lovely. The bar was modern, it was very relaxed and the bar staff were lovely and so helpful. Children are allowed in the bar until 9pm which was perfect for us. We would definitely return There is a play area for the children in the beer garden.

Tv signal was jumpy but this wasn’t a major issue as we only stayed for the one night.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. The price for the accommodation was excellent value for money! The room was clean and had plenty of plug points, tea & coffee making facilities and a TV and the bed was comfy. The en-suite bathroom facilities were really nice, great shower and plenty of towels and toiletries.

If I had a ‘complaint’ it would be that I think they should invest a little in some better quality furniture for the rooms - the wardrobes/drawers were very flimsy, but that is cosmetic! It did not stop us from enjoying our short stay and I would definitely use the Parkers Arms again for this trip next year.

Great price can't fault it, value for money. Perfect location for me with my business. Good sized shower and plenty of water pressure. I have a large van so parking is a big deal. Great parking facilities. Room was pleasant and clean.

Maybe clean outside window and give net curtains a wash, but as I have said it really is great value for money so I can put up with a dirty window

Room was spacious n although the pub was underneath noise was minimal (bar the private party disco) that was to be excepted

Wasnt advised that excess was steal outdoor steps a little unsafe with a 2 year old when wet, wasn’t advised that the family bathroom was down the hall to the room and no long mirror in room to see full view of ourself.

The location and parking was easy to find and spaces were plentiful. The staff gave us a very warm welcome and showed us to our room explaining the check our procedure to save any stress in the morning. The room was basic but that was to be expected for the very small price we paid. It was extremely clean and had some nice touches like tea and coffee and shampoo, conditioner and body wash which was thoughtful. The room itself was exactly what we expected. It was not posh and glamorous but for the price it was perfect for what we needed. The bed was comfy, the shower was warm and we were at the back so it was very quiet. We would like to say thank you to the venue for a lovely stay. In these tough times it’s hard to keep going so we were lucky to have found such a nice little place to stay and we will be back again as the food smelled amazing but we didn’t have time to grab any before our gig!

The only grumble I had about this stay was the heating. It was very chilly in the room as the heating didn’t work. Perfect for summer!! We snuggled down and managed to sleep despite the cold as I had read previous reviews and packed a onesie. We aren’t ones to moan about things that can be easily remedied. Oh, and one small thing I would mention is it might be a nice touch for you to provide a little biscuit each with the tea cups. Unexpected treats make for very happy guests(especially at midnight when you get back and you are hungry)

Accommodation was very 'tired". Hot water took a LONG time to come through, broken glass in main window was covered with plastic glass but broken glass not removed.Fan on bathroom window missing. Having said that, the room and bed were clean and comfortable and with a little improvement we would stay again.

Room was a little dated but clean. Can be noisy with traffic due to being near road. staff very friendly and food at restaurant was lovely.

Not a problem for us but there are metal steps to get to accommodation which can be slippery when wet.

It was v clean & reasonably priced. Food in Restaurant was excellent. Private carpark was useful

It wasn't a problem to us but the access to the room is via metal fire escape type steps. There was a high step into the shower which some may find difficult. As others has said the hot water pressure was variable

Location, parking, food and staff were amazing

Extraction fan starting up all through the night but got used to it eventually. Shared bathroom, especially with a young child constantly walking back and forth but for the price can't complain.

Overnight stay without breakfast. Superb evening meal in the bar/restaurant. Service and atmosphere was superb. Bed, room and facilities were excellent and all great value. Will definitely be coming back here.

No complaints from me.
