The Dartmouth Boutique B &B0

This is a top notch B&B. The location is slightly out of town, but that does mean there is a terrific view from the B&B - particularly our bedroom - of the harbour area. It's also quiet. The location is fine if you're fit enough to walk down to the town, which is a mile or so, but on very steep roads, but the bus service from the near by main road is excellent and frequent, so we mixed up driving down or getting the bus.

This is not a complaint at all - it's a B&B, but there is a glorious terrace and breakfast room and it would have been fantastic to be able to buy a beer or glass of wine and sit out there in the evening to watch the town and harbour as the sun sets and the lights come on. I do appreciate that that involves licensing etc. so fair enough, but felt like an opportunity not used.

The rooms were so clean and fresh and the attention to detail was very impressive. The breakfast choice was excellent and the food and quality top notch. We met Neil (owner) who was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned each day to a high standard. The views to Dartmouth at breakfast were also very beautiful. My friends and I stayed for 3 nights and we cannot fault it in anyway. Congratulations to Neil and the staff making our holiday so relaxing. We will definitely come back again when we are visiting the area.

Everything. A warm welcome from Neil on our arrival. Good parking. Beautiful, clean room, with a lovely view from our window. Comfortable bed. Tastefully decorated throughout. An excellent tasty breakfast, good produce and choice. It was the little extra touches that made it special. Fabulous crockery and nicely laid out breakfast table, with lovely views. It could not be faulted.

Only, to point out it's a bit of a steep walk down onto town. But worth it. A little harder coming back! There is a bus though, with the bus stop close by, which we used the second day. This certainly didn't detract from our stay in any way

The B&B is spotlessly clean, chic and well maintained. Only got to meet Neil who is one of the hosts, very friendly and welcoming and got the feeling that any request would be answered. Parking is a bonus at this property and even though at the top of a steep hill that isn’t a problem. Excellent breakfast served in 2 sittings in a lovely dining room overlooking the valley.

The only downside was a warm duvet that led to uncomfortable nights’ sleep but I’m sure had we mentioned this to the hosts them i have no doubt that a lower tog could have been provided

Stayed here overnight for an ad hoc night away and it was perfect. The location is uphill from the harbour but that means the views were spectacular. Our king size room had beautiful views of the sunrise over the water and the rolling hills. We were given a warm welcome by Neil who gave us some great tips for exploring the local area. The room was very stylish, super clean and comfortable with everything needed for an overnight stay. Breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious in the sunny room overlooking the harbour. We'll definitely be back.

Breakfast was excellent...Neil was very friendly & informative..the room was very clean ..comfortable with wonderful views.Could not fault this place to stay ....we had a fantastic time so much so we will be recommending it & hopefully we will be going back sometime in the future.

The B & B is situated on a hill with spectacular views...easy walking down into town ..about 15 minute walk ....returning would recommend using the local bus that runs every 30 minutes or a taxi.

Welcoming attitude from the hosts Neil and Neville. The establishment was beautifully presented throughout. Breakfast was prepared with good quality products and presented in a light, bright, well glazed dining room that looks down a pleasant part-rural valley towards the River Dart. Our room was well appointed with a tidy shower ensuite. All the rooms had free off-road parking.

Nothing that I can think of. OK, it's up a big hill, so what, we chose this and have been very happy. Bring a car, grab a regular local bus or enjoy the walk !!

Breakfast was really nice, the hotel was exceptionally clean. The room was plenty big enough with a lovely view.

There was one small problem and that was the noisy bed, every time one of us moved it woke the other up. It really was noisy, which didn't help with our sleep. If we had been staying longer than 2 days we would have asked to move to another room. Saying that, the owner was lovely and I'm positive he would have moved us if we had asked. He seemed the sort of person that couldn't do enough for you.

We were made to feel very welcome. Neil was very accomodating, and we were able to take advantage of a parking space early - which meant we could walk to the centre, have breakfast in the park and start our walk to the castle! The boutique b&b was exceptional. Lovely room, great hospitality, delicious breakfast with stunning views. I couldn't recommend enough The south west coastal path was exceptionally beautiful with fabulous views - walked for a couple of hours before returning to the centre for a delicious lunch in the market square. Had a fab smoked trout baguette washed down with a nice French rose in the sunshine!

I liked everthing

We liked everything about the Dartmouth Boutique B&B. Neville, the owner is such a lovely, friendly guy. Our room was amazing with the most comfortable bed ever! Fabulously furnished throughout and such a lovely view from the dining area. The breakfast is a delight whatever you choose. Personally, the full English was awesome, and my partner loved the veggie breakfast. If you are pondering, then stop. This stay is of the highest quality. Highly recommended.

Absolutely nothing to complain about. It is a class B&B which I would recommend to anyone. Parking is free, security is paramount with high tech door access. Once inside, sit back and enjoy your stay.
