The hotel (for a pub) was very pleasant. Cleanliness was very good. Staff were very helpful. The kitchen provided basic food for breakfast, such as bread, crumpets, cereal etc. The fridge was well stocked with milk and butter and ample supplies for breakfast. The room was cosy with coffee/tea making facilities and a TV. WiFi included. The en-suite bathroom was clean with plenty of towels.

This is just a recommendation and not a dislike, it would have been very practical if the main door to the room had a hook to hank a jacket/coat - just for convenience (although there is a wardrobe in the room). Sometimes it's the little things that help a lot.

Very friendly welcome from the landlord, the room was clean and the bathroom fixtures absolutely spotless. Good hot shower. Coffee, tea, biscuits and a kettle in the room, in the morning help yourself to cereal, toast, orange juice, crumpets and fruit loaf from the little shared breakfast corner. Excellent location only 20 minutes from the airport or Stockport (when no traffic), 10 minutes from Marple, and 300m from a Co-op grocery. Landlord was very accommodating.

Nothing I'd actually complain about. Wi-Fi speed was great but reception was rather patchy: good in Room 4; non-existent in Room 1 on some devices, one bar on others. TV reception (or hardware) was poor, with the picture pixelating after a while and needing to be power cycled. Some of the other guests were really loud coming in after midnight, letting doors slam repeatedly. Obviously, be aware of the fact that this is a 4-room pub without a kitchen, not a high-end hotel with 24 hour service and dining (plenty of places nearby to eat out or order in).

Lovely hotel in Disley, ideal if you're thinking of exploring Lyme Park or Peak District region. There is a small pub downstairs and the rooms are on the upper floor. The room was surprisingly quiet and comfortable, and the bathroom shower is great. Room heating works well, and the breakfast is simple but quite good (options go from cereal, to bread, toasts, butter, ham, milk, jam etc). The staff was lovely and kind and allowed us to leave our bags in the hotel after our checkout, in order for us to explore the area for a couple of hours more.

Jade the landlady I think was absolutely exceptional we didn't realise check in was 9pm as we had booked to stay over after a concert but after checking and getting in contact with the hotel Jade reassured us that we could still come and she stayed to make sure we got in and got settled before heading home. Absolute angel made our stay really welcoming.

Didn't realise breakfast was continental (error on my behalf!) Other than that absolutely nothing

Friendly, welcoming and set up for convenience, clean and light and airy room. Great shower, nice breakfast buffet selection. Everything you need for stay provided, everything else you need walking distance.

No direct parking but not an issue as found some along road. Road is busy, but they provide a fan to keep cool if you close windows. Anything that could be an issue has been thoughtfully considered and solutions in place, even late entry.

Goid location for visiting family. Staff were happy for us to check in late . Room was nice and clean and beds very comfy. Enjoyed the breakfast option on offer. Staff all very friendly, will definitely use again when in the area. No noise from bar below

Road noise unfortunately which does carry on through the night, but I had ear plugs so still managed to sleep. Parking was difficult.

We stayed here for the second time. The Albert is a very clean and comfortable place to stay with very friendly helpful staff. The view from the back room of the Pennines is worth seeing. We spent four days cycling the excellent canals and railways in the area. Eating out is easy with a very good Chinese, Italian, Indian and pubs a four minute walk away. On top of all that, good value for money. As the twelve year olds say…. "Whats not to like"!

As more people are cycling now it would be good if there was a secure place to store bikes. Otherwise all was excellent.

Our room was very clean and warm, lovely shower room, beds very comfy. Breakfast was serve yourself with toast, cereals etc and eat in your room, but that was all we wanted so it suited us well. The staff that we met were lovely. The room was very quiet too. We'll be back!

Not much parking available, although we were lucky to grab the space behind the hotel. We would have preferred a double room, but they were all taken - next time we'll try to book one!

Lovely cozy room with very kind and welcoming staff. This was an ideal stay while we were visiting family nearby. Staff is so lovely and we felt very comfortable. Heat is easily controlled and the room was very clean. Lovely self service breakfast. We had a lovely time!

Only thing I can think of is that our tv was often very static-y at night and made some channels impossible to watch but this isnt anything important :)

What a perfect little gem especially for people who like to set out early. Breakfast is available from the communal landing at any time of the morning with a choice of cereals, toast, crumpets and fruit bread. Our room was spotless and very comfortable.

The only down side was that the pub downstairs does not serve food. However, there was plenty of choice just a five minute walk away for sit in meals and take aways.
