We decided to stop over glossop, after travelling from my place at Chester, to Kays place in Langold, as it is half way across,We have stayed in Glossop last year. At the Norfolk arms. This was booked up so when stopping for a drink at the Globe, the barman suggested the Bulls Head,we were able to book a room for the night.Breakfast is served down the road at the Crown. The weather was atrocious ,yet, only added to the overall thrll of the area.tThis is a area we shall visit again.Well done.

Having to eat breakfast down the road.Although we left early to beat the traffic at the Woodhead pass.

Welcoming staff, ideal location, easy parking, good facilities, excellent bar and restaurant for an evening meal, and a superb breakfast ..only 15 minutes walk from the centre of Glossop Town and on the way you can enjoy a walk through the recreational area called 'Manor Park'

Just a bit of feed back to following guests..be sure to put 'The Bulls Head' Old Glossop in your google maps/ sat navigation search .. we made the mistake of putting 'The Bulls Head' in, and arrived at 'The Bulls Head' in Tintwistle.. it's only 10 minutes away, and an easy mistake to make... the pub staff in Tintwistle said they get 2 or 3 guests a week showing up making the same mistake!

The Bull's Head is one of three pubs in this part of Old Glossop. It is very well-located for walking in the Peak District. The breakfast, which was served in The Queen's Arms, just a few metres down the road, was excellent. We particularly appreciated the good humour and cheerfulness of the ladies who cooked and served it. We ate in the Bull's Head restaurant both nights; the food was very good. They specialise in tapas, which made a nice change to standard pub fare.

There was nothing we didn't like. My husband would have appreciated decaffeinated coffee after dinner, but this is a small issue.

Good value for money, clean, simple, Nice staff. Bar downstairs is nice atmosphere with decent food, friendly staff. lots of locals so very cosy and welcoming place.

Rooms very warm and no shop nearby to pick up bottled water etc Water in rooms would be welcome Breakfast is a walk away served in another pub - breakfast quality only OK. I'd skip breakfast and walk into the town for something nicer.

lovely welcome from Amy. Very spacious, spotless room. Huge comfortable bed. Our dog was made very welcome. Nice drinks. Friendly staff. Friendly locals. Lovely meal and breakfast at the Queens Head. Great weather. Nice park just down the road. Loved the church bells Sunday morning. Very relaxing.

There was a flat above our room. In the morning it sounded as if they were playing 10 pin bowling! It didn’t bother us. We did wonder what on earth were they doing though ? Despite this, we would stay again.

I used to live in Old Glossop so know the Bulls Head well as a drinking/eating establishment, but have never stayed there. The room was lovely with a large bed, beautiful view of Old Glossop & peaks, very clean, tea making facilities that were re stocked everyday, the room was tidied every day too. We met up with friends and had dinner there which was really good. Also considering you are a above a pub the noise level was no problem.

Only little negative was shower was a bit on the small size but not a great problem.

So much to list! I loved my view out of my beautiful sash window were I enjoyed coffee's often (provided in room with biscuits too that were often replenished - thank you - delicious) I loved the church bells chiming and Bell practice Saturday evening which really sounded lovely and added to a really lovely experience of being away from hustle and bustle of home/work life. I was assured it was bell practice and not a drunken church goer up the tower. It was lovely. I loved the location and going out and exploring area myself, following small streams and pathways on nice autumn evenings. I loved the food at the pub, delicious and you served my favourite gin - kudos!!! The staff were adorable and attentive, must be lovely having this as your local pub to pop in for a quick one!! Breakfast was fab and ample. Dog friendly too which, not being a dog owner actually was a lovely experience to be able to make a fuss and coo over dogs walking down the hallway. Loads to do locally with big walks and overcoming fears of going down caves too. Great experiences to be had. There is nothing I did not enjoy. The bed was comfy, my battery is recharged and I thank you for a lovely restful stay. I would recommend to anyone. Ps have the tapas!!!

Over all there's not a lot to say I didn't like. Parking perhaps but again this was not the biggest of issues at all really.

A nice and clean hotel, really cosy and warm, friendly staff, situated perfectly for a good walk in the peaks - which is what we’d planned. We really enjoyed our two nights there…we had a few beers after our walks in some very close local pubs. Superb

Had to have breakfast in the sister pub down the road due to lack of staff in ours…not much of an inconvenience to be honest but would have been better in our own hotel, and pub closed early on the Sunday - I assume again due to lack of customers/staff. Not really a problem…and understandable, but we’d have preferred a last few drinks in our own pub on the Sunday night.

Good choice available for breakfast, fresh fruit, cereal, fresh juice, tea, coffee and full English. Also had evening meal there which was good value for money. Great home from home feel to the Bulls Head and sister Queens. Super comfy queen bed which was well received after a day trekking the local mountains! Blaze the Landlord give us some local knowledge regarding places to visit and park which proved to be very useful. Very welcoming would definitely stay again and recommend.

Neither member of our party complained or had reason to. Any request was met straight away.
