The Langton Arms

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay and would have been happy to extend it given the opportunity. The room was clean spacious and comfortable and given that they are built around the courtyard it felt as if we had our own patio outside. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming and the food was well presented and delicious. The location in a peaceful country hamlet between Blandford and Wimbourne was perfect for a relaxing break and very dog friendly. An absolute gem.

We could not fault a thing in regard to our stay, it was a perfect short break.

We arrived late in the evening. The room was not ready, not due to the staff but due to another guest's folly which caused a delayed check-in. Staff took great care of us while the room was being cleaned and prepared by offering brevarges and not charging us. Rooms are spacious & clean and very private. There is even a playarea for little one if you have some time. The food is great and there is a pub with an amazing menu if you are in the mood for a drink.

Loved the location, gorgeous little village. One of the best dog friendly places we’ve stayed in, most places would make you have dinner outside but there is a doggie section in the restaurant. Lovely garden. Such friendly and helpful staff. It was my husbands 40th and we had one of the best meals we’ve had in a longtime, thank you!

Absolutely nothing!!

The Langton Arms is found in a fantastic picturesque setting with friendly staff to cater for your every need The room was clean tidy and very comfortable with a great little tea/coffee station We as a family dined in the restaurant and the food was fantastic !! In all our stay at the Langton Arms was fantastic and we will definitely be staying again sometime in the future !

Incredible food, stunning location, excellent service, family friendly. Staff ensured we all had a comfortable stay. Play park was also a bonus for the children whilst we enjoyed a drink. Would definitely recommend and will return!

Slight drain issue outside room (blocked by grass clippings) Husband cleared, informed staff and they were so appreciative they gave us a free drink!

Lovely location surrounded fields. Very nice pub with one of the best pub food menu I have seen and tasted. The room was also clean and comfy.

Due to the layout of the room the bathroom is quite colder than the bedroom.

A beautiful building in a fabulous location. Very welcoming staff; a homely feel to the whole property, especially the lounge. Local produce from the proprietor’s farm giving top quality meals. Very comfortable and spacious accommodation which was spotless.

one small thing …. the shower has weak water pressure.

Breakfast was excellent. Great quality food and service. Food in the restaurant was excellent also, but fairly pricey.

We didn’t know that breakfast yoghurt/fruit/cereals/porridge etc had to be ordered, so we missed out on that on our first morning. Could improve by setting out at a small ‘DIY’ station! Service was great though.

Lovely country pub with excellent outdoor areas. Extremely peaceful, excellent food and very friendly staff. An ideal base for touring around the beautiful Dorset countryside

Very difficult to criticise

Everything was as expected room was clean and ready for us plenty of parking And a very Quiet location.

Was not informed till day before going that the Langton is closed Monday & Tuesday for food and Drink only Breakfast so had to find alternative for both evenings.
