Landlord was really friendly and helpful. Lovely modern bathroom, very spacious room and comfortable beds. Boots across the wrong and recommend the Chinese & Japanese takeaway that's 1min walk down the road, big portions. Co-op in the opposite direction and lovely bakery to sit down to have treats and tea/coffee. If your going to an event at the Hinton st Mary barn, worth staying at The Swan as it's 5min or less drive up. There is parking behind the pub. Didn't get to try the food but will next time. You need to inform let them know if you want breakfast the day before so the can prepare for next day. Great place, we would stay again if ever we're around.

Very welcoming, friendly landlord and the pub was full of locals on a Monday night, I bought a take away and was welcome to eat it in the bar with cutlery and a drink. Good parking and guest entrance. Clean room with comfortable bed. Good quality, well kept ale in the bar

No food available on a Monday but this is normal now, there was only the one Chinese take away open on a Monday. sadly no breakfast on Tuesday morning either, I needed an early start so it wasn’t a problem

Location was close to the event we were attending. We were offered choices at breakfast and it was freshly cooked for us. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It was nice to see the cricket team celebrate their first win for some time especially as one had scored a century.

The waitress in the evening although friendly and efficient was a little overbearing at times. I just ignored her, others may not.

It's an old Inn, so manage your expectations accordingly, eg there is no swimming pool, floorboards creak, doorways are low etc., obviously this all adds character to the place. The one thing that was a bit disappointing was that the kitchen was closed for evening meals, however, the owner was more than happy for us to have a takeaway and they provided plates, cutlery etc. All in all a very plesent stay.

The landlord was very welcoming. Locals were all very friendly. Food and service in the restaurant was excellent. They had a disco on in the bar and the landlady apologised and asked us to let her know if it was too noisy. It wasn’t a problem and finished at a reasonable time. Room very comfortable. All in all a lovely time had. Would definitely recommend.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The english breakfast was very good and big enough for two hungry men! The rooms were well decorated and comfortable. A nice central location for the area, especially as we were there for a wedding and reception in nearby villages. The free car park was a bonus too.

Twin room as comfortable as ever, with excellent shower and good television. No Saturday night live performances at this time, so evening quieter than past visits. Problems with catering staff meant no evening meal available. Did not book breakfast on site.

Needed better advice on how the lighting system worked

The Hotel was easy to find and there was plenty of space in the car park. The room was spacious and clean

Unfortunately like a lot of businesses in hospitality they did not open their restaurant on the Monday evening: breakfast was not included in the costs. We are a lot cheaper in a local cafe where the food was extremely good value and uality for the cist

Very convenient for what we needed and the atmosphere was really friendly and the owners couldn't have done more to help us with our visit, especially helping us over our breakfast dilemma. Very warm and comfortable.

Nothing really to comment. The only thing I noticed was the bathroom needed a bath mat but we improvised with using one of the hand towels instead.

The Location great for our needs for a family Birthday. The rooms were great. The staff excellent and very helpful.

The only thing was that the restaurant was not open on Monday and Tuesday evening. However, we found a place a 5 miinute walk away
